God brought me to believe.....we cannot bring ourselves....how can a human believe in God,without the Lord willing it...they can't...sorry that is my belief and it's set in stone...never to be denied...so I won't be arguing over it.......as it then gets personal and the thread is locked.
The Lord has willed it. Scripture says that it is not the Lord's will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2nd Peter 3:

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:4-6

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

The question seems rather simple but I guess I'll try to explain it to you.

Someone believes the gospel in order to be saved.

There are two individuals, you and God.

In order for you to be saved, who believes the gospel you or God?
Two of her quotes from August

Aug 29 I didn't believe and choose God,as you supposedly did.

Aug 26 Sorry....I was not saved as you have posted..I have already explained how I was saved.....which quite a few of you don’t understand....I can’t help that.....the main thing is I do.

The question doesn't need an "explanation." There are two options, two individuals. The answer to the question is a single word. Is it you, or is it God?

I have answered your question.....God brought me to belief,I did not bring myself...I can't answer a question that doesn't make sense to me...it well does to you and others...but it doesn't make sense to me.

I would say that is evidence for sure.

@Oncefallen this man is determined that I get banned, please read who started this..I think there are two pages....if you believe I started it....then I accept a ban...@eleventhour is also in agreement with him.it also looks like Dusky has joined forces with them again.

They are reading into my posts what they believe..which is not true.

The question isn't how you were brought to belief, it is simply who does the actual believing.

Think of it this way, believing is taking a drink from a lake. To say that God brought you to the lake is different from saying that God drank for you. So who believes?

That is, of course, assuming you actually do believe the gospel and haven't simply been brought to recognize it for truth.

Do you drink living water?

I will answer.....I responded to the gospel message (faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God) and I BELIEVED the message and asked God to forgive me of my sins, save me and remember me in his kingdom

You know....the BIBLICAL way!

God brought me to believe the word, through the testifying of His spirit,to my spirit,I knew straight away that I was his child/ born again.....but it has taken quite a while for Him to open up scripture to me ,that I now understand.

God brings us to belief,we don't bring ourselves.
I believe you are correct! I believe that faith is indeed a gift from above like every other good gift.

"Nearly all the church fathers […] judged that the words “it is the gift of God” refer to faith […] this was the exegesis […] of those that spoke the Greek language and were familiar with the peculiar Greek construction."

Eph2:8–9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.

Heb 12:2
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

2Pet 1:1
Simon Peter, a bond-servant and bapostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours,by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

Phil 1:29
For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

Act 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Acts 3:16
And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.

1Tim 1:13-14
though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Luke 17:5
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

You're overcomplicating the question.

Do you simply recognize the gospel as truth, or do you believe it?
