I appreciate your sincere response and thank you for it. And I agree that we must endeavor to keep the flame wars from destroying Christian Chat. I love this place let's keep it a beautiful garden filled with an aroma pleasing to the nostrils of God.Absolutely, though such humor can come across very differently since text completely lacks any information about intent.
I will also add that some of my attitude is due to the dismissiveness that is prevalent among reformed theologians of any contrary positions rather than specifically something you've said so I do recognize I need to rein it in and not hold you accountable for the current state of theological discussion.
And the absolute truth, the serpent was open for ALL TO SEE and every man, woman and child bitten had the FREE WILL and God given CHOICE to look and LIVE or NOT....Being born again is regeneration/eternal life. The Holy Spirit does not indwell a non-believer ... that is plain wrong.
This occurs after belief, not before.
14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[f] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
Jesus made it clear to Nicodemus in John 3.
Who does the believing, us or God?
I just showed you the sequence.
And please do not tell me what I do and do not understand.
The Holy Spirit does NOT indwell a non born again person ................and testifying to our spirit is about being indwelt by the Holy Spirit, which confirms our new birth.
This is does not happen prior to belief.
That doesn't actually answer my question, who does the believing?God brought me to believe.....we cannot bring ourselves....how can a human believe in God,without the Lord willing it...they can't...sorry that is my belief and it's set in stone...never to be denied...so I won't be arguing over it.......as it then gets personal and the thread is locked.
That doesn't actually answer my question, who does the believing?
She said a week ago that God willed her saved and she had no choice in the matter, no gospel message and it was after she was saved that it got explained to her........That doesn't actually answer my question, who does the believing?
It's a bit sad that such a simple question doesn't make sense to you. Perhaps human doctrines have overcomplicated a simple thing making the situation murky for you.Your question doesn't make sense to be honest....I answered your question as I believed it should have been answered.....sorry if you feel it didn't answer your question.
She said a week ago that God willed her saved and she had no choice in the matter, no gospel message and it was after she was saved that it got explained to her........

Someone believes the gospel in order to be saved, is it you or God?
If she really said such a thing that's sad. But since I didn't see it, your informing me of it is nothing but gossip. She said a week ago that God willed her saved and she had no choice in the matter, no gospel message and it was after she was saved that it got explained to her........
Ok, then why does such a simple question confuse you? Who believes the gospel, you or God?Not at all......I have not been indoctrinated by anyone.your question didn't make sense.

The question seems rather simple but I guess I'll try to explain it to you.A question that doesn't make sense...I told you God brought me to believe ....I had heard about the gospel at school and a vicar, who I happened to be working for...when I was saved...it was very personal.
Correct .....why does a person need a Gospel message if God wills their salvation anyway?
Show me the post where I said this.....you accuse me once more...I will get admin involved....

Someone believes the gospel in order to be saved.
There are two individuals, you and God.
In order for you to be saved, who believes the gospel you or God?
