hub and I just believe that continually returning 'railing for railing' is anti-scriptural!!! -
11TIM. 4:2.

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness;

MAKE YOUR POINT PEOPLE AND THEN MOVE FORWARD, for as the Bible tells us,

we have learned 'the hard way', that God's ways are so often way beyond our ways of understanding! -
for us, we have been taught that He doesn't ALWAYS do the same things the same way for everyone -
as it is written:
ROM. 10:20.
But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought Me not;
I was made manifest unto them 'that asked not after Me'.
MATT. 7:7.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8.
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
we have learned to NOT put our SAVIOUR in our own individual BOX, it worked out that when we
did that, 'we were (WRONG)'...

Everytime I say to God..that will happen because I thought I knew best.....well it didn’t happen because I don’t know what is best.....only God knows what is best,so now I don’t even think about those words,...as I rely solely on Him.......”NOW” took a while though.

I am assuming that your post you made a little while ago has been missed...
You said ( and please forgive me if I am wrong ) that you heard about Jesus from school , but the teaching never meant anything to you , and later on in life , you had a cleaning job at a vicarage , where they preached the Gospel , but you thought it was foolish , is this correct ?...
The reason I am bringing this up is because although you never read a bible , you had actually heard the Gospel , from when you were small , and later at the vicarage , and this may help those who come against you , because the night when you speak of getting saved , you had the Gospel in your heart , but you just weren't aware of it , does this make sense , or have I got it wrong?

God has always been.

Jesus came to save our souls/ spirit....a way to connect back to God...before Adam sinned,he was alive then he died spiritually.

Only the spirit of Jesus can save us,so in order for that to happenGod had to come down as man....He felt everything we do .

Not sure I answered your question,but hey,we can say anything on this thread about scripture,lol.

Then it saves other threads being derailed....that was the thinking behind this thread.

Note that the word "given" is in italics, indicating that it does not appear in the Greek. So the verse really says;

"(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)"

Obviously you do not know the connection between the glorification and ascension of Christ and the giving or outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. But to prove that "given" is the necessary completion of that sentence, all English translations have it.
