Yes, I know, CNN? Yes, CNN. Posted in part because it shows the bias of a left wing reporting link with the comments regarding Trump's objection to mail in ballots, which is a very real concern. And also posted because it does explain this years process accurately.

And this link is to demonstrate why mail in ballots are a risk. But the Democrats desperately want to take the White House and majority in Congress. Both the House and the Senate. God forbid!
We all should by now be aware of the reports every election cycle as pertains to voter fraud. A very real thing, not the urban legend that some espouse it to be.
The more you know. Pray Republican candidates sweep this years election come November 3rd. Including the Presidency. Otherwise, we're doomed. Think not? Too pessimistic? Just look at what the Democrats in Congress have done to this country in these last four years! All because they hate Trump. And in that, America too. Because it isn't about the President! It is about our national future.
Then remember that Democrats have sought to Impeach almost every Republican President elected. So don't let the House Impeachment of Trump lead you to vote Left. That Impeachment was based on perjured testimony! Which is Sedition.

I think people in future should they decide to research the cause of Trump's impeachment will realize it was a stunt by the Democrats. Nancy Pelosi, of course with Chuck standing nearby said the reason they pursued the Impeachment was in order to mar Trump's presidency for the historic record.

I'm voting Republican straight ticket as well. And praying that we take not just the White house, which I can't see us losing all things considered as regards the opponent, and majority in Congress. Then Trump can get more things done and without the absurd push back from the Democrats.

Vote out the old guard Democrats and the Democratic party may be able to repair their image. That is right after a good old fashioned exorcism on Capitol Hill.

Anything that is a vector for fraud or abuse will eventually be exploited by someone. It's not a matter of how, but when.

Mail-in ballots were meant to be convenient, but that only works with honest and fair people. How naive. Once that ballot is out of control of the person who sent it, anything can happen to it. If the ballot reaches it's destination there is no built-in mechanism to validate the authenticity of the mail-in ballot.

In transit, or at the counting station, ballots often disappear only to make a reappearance at the last moment to produce a surge of votes for candidates who had otherwise lost. It's happened many times and yes it is occasionally proven fraud occurred.

There's nothing organic about this.

Seriously. Sometimes, no matter how much you try, it's hard to make it to the polls in person and I seriously wonder if that is why more and more people opt for mail in voting. What would happen if in person polls were open for say 2 days?

There should be a voter ID CARD with a finger print and mandatory life in prison for whoever gets caught cheating in any way and for all involved no matter how far up the line it goes and there should be a paper trail verification of all votes ....

Apparently, because requiring a Voter ID Card, which the States freely issue, is a racist act aimed at suppressing the votes of minorities (blacks).

I wonder how people actually believe this could be true when all people (blacks included) are required to have a Marriage License, Drivers License, Hunting, Fishing Licesne, Social Security Card Number, and others I may be forgetting. They must present these cards to different people for different reasons, and if they do not have them, there is a penalty applied to them.

For years, this whole process of electing people to represent "the people" has been one huge game of who can cheat the best. The main reason I am not very political.

I believe just as you have to take a test to drive, then people must take a test in order to vote. After all ignorant voting can cause equal or more deaths that a car wreck.

Most states have early voting or absentee voting which isn't the same as mail in voting. My state of Georgia does early voting, absentee, and on Election Day. The early voting can be a week long. Also some States with absentee can be risky because it involves more hands. Our state involves you requesting one and then they have drop off locations for you to drop it off. It skips the UPS.

For those that can’t make it to the polls on Election Day, there has always been absentee ballot voting. No one disagrees with that.

But there is something unifying about all of America coming together for one day to determine her leader.

Almost all the battleground states are run by Democrats. Trump will have a gigantic lead after the votes are counted election night. But the Democrats will keep counting “mail in ballots “ until they win.
There is really no way to verify the mail in ballots. I could fill one out for unknown numbers of people. Even if I were caught, it would be all over and done with , and there would be no way the results would be overturned.

This is why I believe civil war is not only possible, but likely. Not crazy about saying it, but unfortunately I think it’s going to happen.

They have NO morals, so they truly don’t care about cheating to further their evil agenda.

I have learned more this year (more like these past few months) about politics and elections and a lot of stuff that goes with it than I ever have before.

Around here we compare absentee ballots to headstones. Matches are rejected.

On a serious note, please don't mail me my ballot unless I ask for it. I will be at the polls on every election day, wearing a mask and social distancing if necessary, to cast my votes. That way I know my vote is counted because I put the ballot into the counting machine, and it tells me if I completed it properly. The last thing I want is to find out that I mailed my ballot in and someone found it in a box in a closet somewhere. The way people sort mail, in offices and post offices, doesn't impress me at all.

If you want to know for sure that your ballot is counted, do it in person on election day.

Florida has early voting where you can vote in person over a period of a couple weeks. It is only on the actual day of the election that the vote totals are tabulated and precincts report. Florida also has mail in voting, once you request a ballot and vote every 4 years or so the state will automatically send you a ballot for primaries, state election, and general election. I have voted in person early and for the last few years have voted by mail. Never had any problem whatsoever. For the general election the ballot should arrive probably 3 weeks before Nov 3. States that are new to mail in ballots may have a problem if the proper infrastructure is not in place.

You are totally correct in everything you have said. What is still unclear is why has there not been a complete and thorough review and cleaning up of the election process. as well as the voter rolls over the last four years, and particularly after the census?

At the very least there should have been an independent commission and a thorough investigation of previous fraud, as well as anticipated fraud. There should also have been a TOTAL BAN on mail-in-voting. So who was negligent, and who should be held responsible if this upcoming election becomes a total disaster (which is very likely). The goal of the Democrats is to (a) either steal the elections or (2) sabotage the results if they do not suit them.

The indifference to the multitude of issues in the department of elections nationwide is appalling. Imagine if a company ran their payroll department the same way. Who wouldn't love the checks they'd get for no reason at all because their name is in the rolls?

I think when a dead cat got their absentee ballot in the mail that should have forewarned people the system remains corrupt. And those who could fix it remain indifferent.
And sure, I can name my puppy Caroline Hitchens and show her living at my address at the veterinarians office. But how is a cat able to be registered to vote? When I turned 18 and went to register I had to show state ID. Doesn't every state have that requirement?

And why is there a push against showing ID at the polls? I have to show ID if I want to buy alcohol should the clerk think I'm underage. I have to show ID to register my vehicle at DMV. Why is there a problem requiring a show of ID for one of the most important activities for my personal future at a polling station?

The question then becomes, why are there so many foul ups at the department of elections? Particularly as pertains to registered voters? Maybe because it helps the corrupt system somehow.

Yeah. It's past time to fix the broken voting system. I think people have tried to fix it, but hit a brick wall of dysfunction and uncooperative politicians. Trump had an anti-voting fraud committee at first, but blue states wouldn't cooperate with him so the task force got abandoned.

There are great reasons to have honesty and integrity in voting, but I think that corruption is so rampant in the government. It's currently not a possibility.

The same checks and balances that were designed to prevent tyranny can also be used to prevent freedom.
