Lol, but he did not command the church to do this. If he did, I would. He himself did this as a show to the Jews. If I thought by shaving my head might help win people to Christ, I certainly would. Wouldn't you?
Oh you give it a pass.

But in the non Pauline books that very dynamic makes those books as non applicable tokens to fill pages.

That's the thing. The p as ulines see the first advent as a failed mission, but paul came and righted it. Jesus ,it seems, to them, thought he came only for the Jew.
Well, the Jews rejected Jesus before the cross and after the resurrection. Only a few thousand received the preaching of the disciples. God would use Paul to reach the Gentile world and build His church.

Also no one dies and goes up to heaven. We are resurrected to eternal life on a restored earth as the new Jerusalem ( heaven) comes down to earth.
Then Jesus was mistaken in the last supper dialog.

I go and prepare a place for you in heaven that where I am you may be also

We go to heaven when we die.

The martyrs are there under the altar until their number is fulfilled.

Definately we go there when we die.

I think his point is that the gospel the 12 were preaching to Israel in Luke 9:6 was that Israel's promised King and Son of God is finally here in the flesh.

So the message in that gospel is "Change your minds, believe in Jesus as that promised Son of God, and you will have eternal life in his name (John 20:31)"

But now, none of us should be preaching that to unbelievers. And no, Paul was not preaching that gospel to the gentiles. That is not the gospel that saves today.

Instead, our gospel today is based on 1 Cor 15:1-4.
Gospel today is the same gospel that Jesus teach 2000 years ago.

So, you're saying that Jesus went around preaching that He was about to die on a cross, be buried and rise again the third day? This is the message He went around preaching? Do you really believe that?

Even after he resurrected, the 11 were not preaching Jesus died for Israel sins in acts. (1 cor 15:1-4)

Instead, peter accused the Jews of having murdered jesus (acts 2:36)

Can you post Scripture of Jesus preaching specifically His death, burial and resurrection before the cross? You do know it was a mystery until after?

Yep, and they were still looking for Jesus to restore the kingdom of Israel. Why? Because for three and a half years that's what they were going around preaching. This message was for Israel and not Gentiles nor Samaritans.

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

There is not one but many Scriptures where Jesus Himself spoke of His death, burial, and resurrection. You can look up the rest if you have a mind for the truth. And John the Baptizer called Christ "the Lamb of God".

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. (John 2:19-21)

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit... And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
(John 12:23,24,32,33)

But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Mt 12:39,40)

No mention of the death, burial and resurrection for sins. It was hid before it occurred.
It is symbolic destroy the temple, temple symbol of His body

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Yep from the beginning Jesus declared his mission
Mar 2;19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

Mat 17
22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

And no one understood because it was hid from them. The disciples did not preach Paul’s gospel.
