I've been called names and was even denied salvation by some over eschatology differences.
I believe that nobody can indisputably prove what exactly will happen in the future...
Do you personally think it's justified to display that level of hostility towards others when it comes to this subject?
Have you had similar experiences, people getting ugly about differences in opinion about what's going to happen in the future?

I think you are correct.

Eschatology is just a guess based on scriptures.

And, not to be rude, but most of the guesses I have seen aren't even very good ones.

I think this is a heated debate at times ,surprisingly more than ' Tongues' .
I suppose because it affects quite a lot of other areas .And how we are rightly dividing the word . But its not necessary to name call

I also don't see the need to fall out over the issue. After all ,its clear that its a pre trib rapture ,with the church never destined for wrath ( by Satan or by God ) and we're not currently in the literal 1000 year reign yet .😆

I Believe we are talking about (Full Preterist) denying a future second coming and bodily resurrection of the believer.

Individuals try to hide behind the word (Eschatology) falsely as a victim, hiding their denial of the second coming and bodily resurrection of the believer.

(Full Preterism) Is Heretucal

It's my opinion that (Full Preterist) hide behind the word (Eschatology) as they deny a (Future) Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and bodily resurrection of the believer.

(Full Preterism) Is Heretical

In my opinion, name calling with the intent to demean someone is never acceptable. Such things, in my opinion, reveal that the person doing so is not able to properly argue/discuss Scripture in the spirit of Christian love.

As for "proving" the future, we all have at our disposal the Word of God. It is Truth. If we read what the Word says without "adding to it," then we can surely rely on that to be proof of what will happen in the future. If we can not accept what Scripture says as Truth, then we are all lost.

In my opinion, angry argument come when differing theological beliefs clash, and they are most often based on what a man has "added to" Scripture. This has been my experience.

There is no justification any level of hostility towards a fellow believer in Jesus. Scripture itself teaches directly against such action.

At best, when differences in interpretations of Scripture arises, people should agree that each has the right to their opinion, and agree to disagree without sinning through personal attacks on a professed disciple of Jesus.

When such happens, simply end the debate/argument, bid them a "good day" and move on. Do not allow those who would steal your joy in Christ to do so.

If it’s not a salvation issue it’s crazy to call people names or declare they are not saved

I know how you feel. I have been called unsaved because I believe isreal will be restores which is dual covalent theology to them (2 gospels) which is not only judgmental but false.

This topic and gifts of spirit topic can get out of hand and is bad

Sadly lately we can add Calvinism topic and all the slinging

it’s unchristlike for sure

Yes. I've seen at least one discussion almost detail in the Bible discussion forum because the individual resorted to ad hominem attacks. Were it not for a mature individual to take charge of the situation it would have gotten ugly.

With eschatology, like all theological subjects, there is the actual Biblical perspective and the denominational perspective associated with that individuals tradition or preferred belief.

The Pharisees in the days of Jesus' first coming entirely missed it because they esteemed their traditions higher than the scriptures. The second coming of Christ will be similar and it will likely produce the great rebellion of the church prophecied of in the New Testament.

It is incorrect to say someone's not a true Christian, simply because they may differ in their beliefs about eschatology. The only thing that determines if a person is a true Christian is if they have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord (God) of their life.

This is exactly the kind of post to which the OP is referring. Thanks so much for exemplifying the unnecessary judgmental behavior.

If I remember well, we probably somewhat disagree about how we see all these areas, but I'm really sorry you were treated that way, that should not be happening.

The future second coming and bodily resurrection of the believer are major foundations of the Christian faith, doctrine that surpasses individual denominational lines.

(Full Preterism) denies both, and is another doctrine, not seen or taught in the scripture.

Thanks for your input and opinion, it's my opinion (Full Preterism) is Heretical (y)

Romans 16:17-18KJV
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Its just a bad guess in a long line of bad guesses.

But they try. Just like everyone else who discusses eschatology.

Please re-read the OP. So far, you just don't get it.

… and you still don't understand how to use brackets.

Tongues is like eschatology in the same way. Both are revealed as prophecy Much has to do on how we wonder in doubt and how we believe or exercise in a faith Christ's that works in us not of ourselves .

Rather than following the money trail. Search the sign to wonder by wonder trail or healing trail. Many are lying wonders used to mislead and take away faith as it is written( No wondering needed. . . just believe.)
