I’ll leave you alone unless you post unbiblical nonsense, then I’ll be challenging you as we are called to do.

I will also leave you alone.....I will also be watching what you post also about scripture....and challenge you also...if I think it’s false teaching.

Challenge me as much as you like, just don’t start getting personal......because I won’t tolerate it.

I would encourage you to always challenge someone you believe is truly posting something unbiblical. I’ll support you if that ever transpires.

The doctrines of Calvinism repeated...

Instead of Jesus dying for “whosoever believes”, He died for “whosoever I choose”.

Instead of preaching Jesus died for you, Calvinism preaches Jesus maybe died for you.

Instead of "seek and you shall find".. Calvinism is I lied .. "you can seek but you may not find because you are not on my chosen list."

Instead of God loves you... God hates you unless you are chosen.

Instead of " come" Calvinism states "god drags"

Instead of preach the Good News, Calvinism states no need ..the elect will be regenerated apart from hearing

Matt Slick (owner of CARM) has this to say of irresistible grace:

Irresistible grace is a doctrine known primarily within Reformed Theology (Calvinism) which states that the grace with which God saves an individual cannot be successfully resisted by the sinner when he becomes saved. This does not mean that unbelievers cannot generally resist the grace of God, for they surely do. It means that when it comes time for a person to become saved, the saving grace of God upon them cannot be successfully resisted. It is effectual because God's grace overcomes the rebellion of the unregenerate.

Within Reformed Theology irresistible grace is also associated with election and predestination. Election is God's choosing people to be saved, and predestination is his work of manifesting that salvation within them. It is in the preaching of the gospel that the effectual call of God upon the sinner is manifested and the sinner becomes saved. The sinner cannot and will not successfully resist the sovereign work of God to regenerate him when it is the moment of salvation that is wrought by God's power.

However, this grace is not a forceful violation of the will of the recipient. Grace, after all, is the unmerited favor of God upon individuals, but God works upon the person through conviction, the scriptures, and the preaching of the gospel that brings the person to salvation.
Welcome back Kotter... we needed you

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?
And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
And how are they to preach unless they are sent?
As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Romans 10:13-15

The only way to be saved in to call on the name of Christ having believed the Gospel.
One cannot call on His name unless one believes the Gospel
The Gospel has to be preached for people to hear and respond to it.

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men (all created men) to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men (you change to the elect men) unto justification of life. (Romans 5:18)

The word meaning cannot change within someone's argument... and Paul is definitely presenting a logical argument.

Irresistible grace.... effectual call ... not found in scripture.

In fact the exact opposite.

"Whosoever believes shall be saved" Jn 3:16

It is not whosoever God makes a believer.

Oh, good, I am glad! Day two home from hospital and I pull an all nighter LOL.
Somehow your learning something new helps make up for that :D

I'm sorry you have been in the hospital. May God's healing powers be directed to you.

Jesus did not teach effectual calling, irresistible grace, in fact the exact opposite.

“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life”

John 5:39-40

No need to witness, testify, preach or do anything.....POOF one is saved....and the other poor suckers are "outta" luck.......
Yes, POOF, apart from needing to hear the Gospel, the direct infusion of saving grace on the selected.

If the doctrine of 'irresistible grace' is true, then it makes the preaching of the gospel unnecessary, and in reality, useless.

The elect are going to be saved without it, according to Calvineresy

The non-elect never could even understand it, much less believe it!

Anyone who holds the possibility of "whosoever" as dear needs to reject Calvinism ... it dishonors God and mocks the scripture.

Paul states otherwise......

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?
And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
And how are they to preach unless they are sent?

Romans 10:13-15

The only way to be saved in to call on the name of Christ having believed the Gospel.
One cannot call on His name unless one believes the Gospel
Is that what Paul did?

Did he call on the name of the Lord on the Road to Damascus?

I obviously gave you WAY too much credit. You must have been talking about something entirely different when I agreed with you.

That probably won't happen again.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15

Would they not "believe anyway" because they are not one of "the elect?"
That definitely doesn't mean to cast pearls before swine.

She said she was saved. That IS the answer to any man the reason of her hope.

If they don't believe then they don't believe. If they mock then they mock.

Paul heard the Gospel and refused to believe. Then God knocked him on his dump and the rest is history.
Galatians 1:11-12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
