The Last Day Resurrection!
A proper study of Bible prophecy will show that the term "the Last Day" was used by Christ to denote an EXTENSIVE PERIOD OF TIME. Actually over 1,000 years. It is definitely not a 24-hour day but a metaphor for a period of time. The gap between the Resurrection/Rapture of the saints and the resurrection of the unrighteous dead is well over 1,000 years.

Your claim is false, (The Last Day) is very clear as Jesus Christ taught, it will be at the time of (Final Judgement) there will be no days beyond this, your only kidding yourself.

The Last Day, Final Judgement!

John 12:48KJV
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The Last Day Resurrection!

John 6:39-40KJV
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 11:23-24KJV
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-17KJV
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Agreed.

"IN the last day" is not speaking of a mere "24-hr day" but a period of time of MUCH duration (with MUCH transpiring WITHIN it [the "IN WHICH" in various verses... and also when you compare Peter's use of this in 2Pet3:10-12 when you compare this passage with BOTH CHPTS of Isaiah 34-35 rather than extracting verse 34:4 out from its CONTEXT--IOW, Peter is not saying "ON the last 24-HOUR DAY" ;) ("IN WHICH")])

My claim is true, and here are the biblical reasons why it is true (which you failed to check before responding).

JOHN 5:28,29: BOTH RESURRECTIONS APPEAR TO BE TOGETHER IN ONE HOUR
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

JOHN 6:39,40,44,54: THE RESURRECTION OF BELIEVERS ON THE LAST DAY
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

JOHN 12:48: THE JUDGMENT OF UNBELIEVERS ON THE LAST DAY
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

1 COR 15:51,52 THE PRE-TRIBULATION RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

REV 20:11,12:THE RESURRECTION OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS DEAD AT THE GWT
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works...15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

In view of these passages, it would not only be absurd, but blasphemous to claim that the resurrection of the saints also happens at the Great White Throne (GWT) Judgment. Yet both resurrections are said to be -- METAPHORICALLY -- "on the last day". Indeed "in the same hour" if we would take that literally!

Furthermore, the Resurrection/Rapture of the saints must occur before the Tribulation. And the Tribulation is followed by (1) the Great Tribulation, (2) Cataclysmic Cosmic Events, (3) the Second Coming of Christ, (4) the resurrection of the Tribulation saints, (5) the Millennium, (6) the release of Satan from the bottomless pit, (7) the battle of Gog and Magog, and (8) finally the Great White Throne Judgment for the unrighteous dead. This covers a period of over 1,000 years, yet is within the "Last Day" time-frame.

After that the earth and atmospheric heaven will be supernaturally burned uo. And that will LITERALLY be the last day for this age, since the New Heavens and the New Earth will be immediately established after that.

We Will Strongly Disagree :)

The Lord will return (Immediately Free The Tribulation) in fire and final judgement on the last day, dissolving the heavens and earth by his fire.

At this time all that are in the Graves will be resurrected, some to eternal life, some to eternal damnation in the lake of fire.

Judgement complete, eternity begins!

the following two passages correlate, time-wise (in the following way)...

--Revelation 19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 (at the time of His Second Coming to the earth), correlates with

--the FIRST of TWO "PUNISH" words in Isaiah 24:21-22a[23] ("shall PUNISH...gathered in the pit... shut up in the prison");

@Truth7t7, Do you believe the above two lines ^ correlate , that is, take place at the same point in time / in the chronology? (I do)

Meaning, all of the following taking place at the same point in time (His Second Coming to the earth)? (I do)

Isaiah 24 -
21
In that day the LORD will punish
the host of heaven above
and the kings of the earth below.
[<--COMPARE with Revelation 19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 (at His 2nd Coming to the earth)]
22 They will be gathered together
like prisoners in a pit.
They will be confined to a dungeon

Okay, but I was speaking specifically of the verses Isaiah 24:21-22a with Revelation 19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 [/ His Second Coming to the earth]"

So, ^ in Revelation 19:21a (one of the verses I pointed out) it says "and the remnant were SLAIN" (i.e. they DIE). This is what verse 22 means in Isaiah 24 where it says [see verse 22]:

Isaiah 24 -
21
In that day the LORD will punish
the host of heaven above
and the kings of the earth below.
[<--COMPARE with Revelation 19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 (at His 2nd Coming to the earth)]
22 They will be gathered together
like prisoners in a pit.
They will be confined to a dungeon
This is distinct from what Revelation 20:11-15 says specifically, that "and death and hades delivered [/gave] up the dead" (v.13).

The "pit" is not "the lake of fire," see. ;) (the "pit" is equivalent to "death / the grave," see).

"But the rest of the dead lived not again UNTIL,"... see ;) [they go to or remain in the "pit" UNTIL... Until the SECOND of the TWO "PUNISH" words, the one in Isaiah 24:22b;) ("and AFTER MANY DAYS shall they be PUNISHED")]

What point are you trying to prove?

Scripture teaches all that die are waiting the final last day resurrection and final judgement at the second coming of Jesus Christ.

You just agreed with me that the following text takes place at the Rev19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 point in time (i.e. His Second Coming to the earth):

Isaiah 24 -
21
In that day the LORD will punish
the host of heaven above

[<--COMPARE with Revelation 19:19,21 / 16:14-16 / 20:5 (at His 2nd Coming to the earth)]
22 They will be gathered together
like prisoners in a pit.
They will be confined to
a dungeon
... are we agreed thus far?

Then read on in the second half of verse 22 (I only quoted the first part of the verse, above) to see what comes NEXT in the CHRONOLOGY (same as the "chronology" of Rev 19 then 20):

22They will be gathered together

like prisoners in a pit.

They will be confined to a dungeon

and punished after many days.

the "pit" is NOT "the lake of fire," see. ;)

The 'last day' is the 'day of the Lord' - which is both 1000 years and the first 24-hour day of that 1000 years, depending on context.

Some of the righteous are resurrected at the beginning of that "day", and the unrighteous - along with the rest of the righteous - are resurrected at the end of that [same] "day" - which is 1000 years.

(And, I do believe this fits all of the verses you guys have posted.)

@Phoneman-777 - all of the things described in 2 Peter 3:10 do not happen immediately upon the Second Coming of Christ. Verse 8 in that chapter is telling us that - in the context of that passage - the 'day' it refers to is actually 1000 years in length. Some of the things described occur at the end of that 'day' - at the end of the 1000-year reign of Christ. And, yes - it is on the earth. Where else is there anything to "reign over" during that time? There is never anything in [the 3rd] heaven that the saints reign over - they only ever reign on the earth.

The earth is not "totally destroyed" until the end of that 'day' - the 1000 years - before the new heaven and the new earth are put in place.

Isaiah 38:18 -
"For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth."

Ezekiel 28:8 -
"They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas."

Ezekiel 31:14 -
"[...]: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit."

But again, in Revelation 20:13, it says, "and death and hades delivered up the dead which were in them" (including those spoken of in Rev19:21a I pointed out [parallel to Isaiah 24:21-22a, at His Second Coming to the earth point in time], and Revelation 20:6 "the rest of the dead [lived not again UNTIL...]")

We fairly agree on the ID of the "Day of the Lord" but only DIFFER on its STARTING POINT:

I believe Scripture indicates that it STARTS [/ARRIVES] at the INITIAL "birth PANG [SINGULAR; per 1Th5:2-3 and Matt24:4 / Mk13:5 (THE FIRST ONE OF THESE BPs, which are FOLLOWED by MANY MORE "birth PANGS [PLURAL]" just as Jesus had said;) , and which matches what we see in "[The] Revelation" also. ;)
[i.e. SEAL #1 = the FIRST ONE OF "the beginning of birth PANGS [PLURAL]," where the SEALS = "the beginning of BPs"])

I believe Scripture indicates that "the day Christ shows up" at His Second Coming is the first day of the 1000-year reign of Christ.

The birth pangs are already happening...

The problem with pre-trib Jesuit Futurism is that it ignores all the verses in Isaiah, Jeremiah, 2 Peter, the Psalms, etc., which depict a destroyed, empty, silent, dark, inhabitable Earth.
Would you mind posting a list of these verses (Book, Chapter, and Verse(s) please) that you are referring to in the above quoted post?

This language appears 4 other times in the OT to discuss the destruction of other places due to divine judgment. It basically means their world, as they knew it, was ending in a grand and overwhelming fashion.
