How should Christians respond to mask mandates?

One problem I have in believing its all a plot is that I have relatives who work in Hospitals with Covid 19 patients My Sister in Law a senior Nurse has to strip off and wash her clothes when she returns home and keep apart from my Brother in law in their house. If this virus is all a lie is she and other relatives liars? Are they performing some kind of deception day in and out? How many times has this happened with ordinary Flu epidemics. Its all very well pontificating about sinister plots when you have no first hand experience or you know someone who had it and was fortunate to only have mild symptoms.

I didn't say your sister and her associates were liars. I'm saying this Covid 19 thing is being inflated to the terror scale it is at now and for a reason that isn't because this flu virus is particularly nasty.
And your sister and her associates follow orders given by the chief of staff and others overseeing them at the hospital.

When we hear that people who have not been tested for Covid 19 are getting SMS message alerts telling them they tested positive for Covid 19, that should be concerning.

When a physician, who is also a Senator, outs the Health and Human Services, HHS, when they sent all physicians a seven page directive on how to fill out a death certificate during this crisis, and it told them to attribute all deaths to Covid 19, there's a problem.

Know what that is? The truth is being made a casualty!
And you only know people who work in hospitals during this thing. I know people who had it last year and survived.
It's a flu virus! Hospital personnel have to go through the same procedures when people were hospitalized with the flu years before this outbreak.

Who saw the lie about a coin shortage coming? Oh, and due to the virus. But here it is.

I like self check outs, especially if it's one or two items for a couple bucks. But now I can't use them if paying by cash (in most stores) and HAVE to stand in line for longer periods of time (because express lanes seem to have vanished "due to the virus") so I have to stand in a line with people coming behind who seem to think it's 6 inches distance instead of 6 feet...... and spend 15 minutes on an errand that should take less than 5, all because of a "coin shortage" (ha! the weight of my change purse says different) because I don't like to use electronic (debit) on a $2 purchase

Just blame the virus. I went to Popeye's Chicken to get a chicken sandwich meal, their sandwich is so good! And had a coupon to boot. The guy at the drive-thru said, we don't accept coupons! The virus! Really? These just came in the mail the day before!
But saying that, the franchise owner got the full price for the meal, not the discounted one the coupon would allow.

Popeyes by us was doing that long before the virus. "Oh we don't take coupons" "Really? It doesn't say participating locations only......"
Subway has been bad about that too.
could make a list of things that have transpired "due to the virus" but just had a thought for a just for fun/and/or complaining thread and don't want to get over redundant on them.........

no, but I did nab a mega pack of wipes at Sams recently (Thanks Lord!)
and am starting to see them become available.
Hand sanitizer is every where now too. $30/gallon.......

My Popeye's experience with the coupon was a first for me.
That would be a fun thread. Make an excuse, "because of the virus", thread.

Of course, it could get depressing as we go along given how many things are on pause or augmented in the real due to the virus.
The tragic part among many parts that are tragic, are those people who are losing their business...because of the virus.
The worst part are the churches that are being threatened and abused of their 1st amendment rights.... because of the virus.

Same here. No wipes, not even baby wipes, no hand sanitizers when this thing first jumped off. Now they're all in stock. But I have to say here the HS is reasonable. But you want to be careful because with that good news comes the bad. Of course.

it really is easy to get caught up in conspiracy theories. But when you know people who have suffered MONTHS from being infected (not just a few weeks as we were first told) and know people who have dies from it, well it has a way of making you look at things in a different light.
One thing that bugs me is that our city doesn't make it easy to find the current numbers; however, my friend is an ER nurse, and what I was hearing from her wasn't matching up with what we were being told (according to her it was WORSE than what was being reported- but I haven't talked with her in 2-3 months .......)

When the school district was considering opening up and returning to buildings in the fall ( final decision is virtual for the whole district-yeah good luck 4K and Kindergarten) but one of the things written up in the plan was the hand sanitizer use at school. "Hand sanitizer stations will be installed..........." BUT they were not going to use alcohol based sanitizer (I have to look up the emails about this for the exact info) b/c of the risk of children getting ill from ingesting it........

Oh dear lol. But makes sense though doesn't it? I thought why are they pushing this stuff if you have a virus and the doctor says you just have to wait it out because tablets only kill bacteria not virus and yet they are pushing the hand sanitiser that is only anti bacterial. Doesn't make sense.

nope, it doesn't does it? But right now, I think I'll stick to using it, even if it is starting to dry my hands out and I have to carry lotion now too......

You can get some with both like one that has aloe vera or something. I think it really is the blind leading the blind. I would have thought that these professionals would know that. Isn't that a bit weird??

After you recover from it the antibodies will begin to reduce in numbers and be gone after twelve or so weeks so then you will be capable of catching it again. And again, and each time you catch it it will do a little more damage to your internal organs and establish it's own "preexisting health conditions".

If you catch it, it will live up to it's name "novel corona virus" and every three or four month's after your antibodies reduce in numbers you can catch it year after year. Each time you catch it,it will be as if an novelty to you bodies immune system the same as the American Indians when they caught the common cold from the explorers. It will remain novel , not that they are lying, but that they are withholding that truth.

I like the door display, those are replacing the same open faced display cases here too, because it looks very neat and tidy.

How I knew this thing was going to go longer term is when the little markets that sell Krispy Kreme donuts here started bagging individual donuts in the self-serve cabinet.
Chocolate glazed in its own little pouch. Open the cabinet door and the waft of fresh donuts is no longer there! That's just wrong! WRONG I SAY! WRONG!

that seems to be the serious question around my area lately. School year is starting virtual...... just what will the parents who use before/after school services do?
Doesn't affect us much since I'm stay at home mama bear.......
I do think though that if this continues to long more and more families will turn to homeschooling......
