This promise is for them who obey his words. You can’t just take this verse and apply it to OSAS.

Philippians 1:29 KJV
[29] For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake
What if a person aged 92 believes on Monday receives Jesus ,but dies in his sleep on Tuesday .Did he go to hell because he didn't suffer?

do you believe Him, or do you not believe Him?
dear child, that's the only question that matters.
I guess you just ignored the other scripture I posted that elucidates on the scripture you want to see in isolation.

I’ll just ignore you now until you see the whole of scripture.

Bye.

those who claim they are believers
again:

I AM the Resurrection and the Life: he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,
and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

While you have simply ignored the verses in Hebrews as if they are non-existent.
We need to understand -- in context -- what is said in Hebrews 10. Many Hebrew Christians were vacillating between Moses and Christ, between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. They had simply not understood the value and significance of the finished work of Christ as well as His ongoing ministry as our Great High Priest in the Heavenly Sanctuary. So all this had to be explained. and it is in this context that Paul tells the Hebrew Christians:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (v 29)

This was a WARNING to the Hebrew Christians (and to all believers) that they were to always remember that it was the Son of God (God Himself) who had shed His blood for their redemption, therefore there was no going back to animal sacrifices or anything connected with the sacrificial system of the Old Covenant. That their faith must be totally on Christ Himself: But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (v 39) This verse also speaks of eternal security -- the saving of the soul.

And this is also a warning to people today who promote the false doctrine of loss of salvation. They are trampling underfoot the Son of God and the precious blood which He has shed, and they are despising the fact that salvation is purely by grace through faith.

without question!
and God has revealed it to us through His incarnate express image, if you would only believe Him:

I AM the Resurrection and the Life: he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live,
and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?
(John 11:24-25)

The thief on the cross, the last minute call to salvation, cold chills!

Luke 23:39-43KJV

39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

One of the most comforting things our Lord God ever said was to Joshua, “I will not fail you or forsake you”! Think about it, he’s still the same God, & neither will he fail or forsake us!

What a great promise from the lord when I take up my cross daily!

What if the Christian stop taking up their cross daily, by Grace through Faith (in Christ and His Finished Work at Calvary Cross where the victory was won, i.e., "The Blood of Jesus")? Do I remain His disciple? Matthew 10:38, Luke 14:27, 33, Gal. 5:4

If you are not a disciple of Jesus Christ are you saved?

The parable Jesus told us about the vineyard and the guy hired in the last hour comes to mind...
Also that some people that got upset that God wanted to give that one the same pay as to the others - eternal life.
What else would this parable mean?
And that doesn't mean to teach anyone to delay walking with God until they are old. No one knows when will Jesus return and when is the time of death for each of us, God is God, so everyone better be ready.

Can a Born-again Spirit Filled Believer after getting saved, continue to live a life of bypassing the Cross (not having Faith daily in the Cross) a remain saved? Jesus says no you cannot be My disciple - but you on here say yes.

Appears your the foolish man :)

1 Peter 2:13-15KJV
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

I oppose both, what do you believe?

Do you support Abortion a woman's right to choose?

Do you support homosexuality in same sex marriage?

I prefer once saved , stay saved . The point of all this is about being sealed by the Holy spirit . Thats the basis of staying saved ..The bible also tells us we are predestined by God to certain glorification. So if the bible says ' nothing can separate us ( Rom 8)
That we are sealed until we mess up ? no eph 4.30 says we are sealed until the day of redemption which is The adoption ( Rom 8.23 ) . No one is Predestined to be saved . Its predestined AFTER we are saved to guaranteed glorification . So Eternal security is not dependant on enduring or perseverence of the saints , but on the Holy Spirit seal and we can rest on promises of God that we are predestined to be Glorified ( The adoption Rom 8.23 ) We are more than ' in 'His hands( John 10 ) we are his hand Eph 5.30 . Nothing ! can separate us ( Rom 8 ) . This is good news .

Did I write something about Jesus not being in control? Perhaps the unweened find discipline difficult to understand.
Perhaps the unsaved have no insight! Especially the religionists!
