They can't trust the scriptures for their Election to salvation because that's unconditional apparently. Arbitrarily chosen before they were born , allegedly.

False, the above embellishment is contrary to the truth and skewed to make an invalid point...the word comes from kosmos and is.....

it is not of your power thus it is nothing you earn or can do yourself

so if god gave it to me and empowers me, how can anything I do or do not do cause me to,ever question or lose my salvation?

i believe in eternal security, I am given perseverance also. not that I can earn or risk losing my salvation, but that I can continue to run the race as paul said we all should do, so that I can work out the salvation that God gave me and in that be a light to the world, that I can be above reproach and not fail and as paul said become unqualified to teach the word because my reputation has been destroyed on something I did And even when I fail, or I fall he empowers me to persevere to get back on my feet, and start walking again

i guess you do not believe god empowers you to be able to do all these things?

I don't really agree with what he said right above the last quote either.....it denies all of the believers of the O.T. and the positions of peace they were in by faith.

I doubt we will ever agree with everything we all say, I disagree with you about the rapture and other things, I am not going to reject everything you say because we do not see eye to eye there,

And you should know me by now....Neither would I, and have in the past put likes on his posts and agreed with some thi gs he says, however, in this thread and most of what he is saying is tainted by his Calvinist stance....just saying!

I and they already told you

by gods promises

the promise of eternal life
the promuse of the seal of the spirit
the promise of never leave nor forsake

everything you have I place our hope in

and they agreed with me and told you the same thing the selves

they believe they are saved by faith just like you and I. They just believe their receiving of faith happens Different than you
whether you like or believe that is true or not is beside the point

Sorry. I am probably not thinking straight because of a new user who acts so much like a calvinist in that he falsly accuses them of stuff which is not true, and has his new slave girl liking all his posts and acting like he does no wrong

its sickening
