You may surf the internet until doomsday but no satisfactory search result will emerge regarding that which in general is called the 'Life Force': that mysterious essence which enlivens every living thing on the planet; and once life is extinct in flora or fauna there is no way for it to be brought back.

Every living thing from the smallest virus to the 100 ton blue whale and from the tiniest seed to the largest tree is vivified by the 'Life Force'.

Where it came from, when or why is not understood and yet the world now contains a googolplex of 'living' organisms. Science is nowhere near solving the puzzle of the workings of the energizing life force which gives life to our planet.

Let's offer up a challenge. Put all the scientists in the world together; tell them they can have whatever inert material they need and then ask them to make an acorn that contains life and which when planted in soil will grow into a mature oak and then produce seeds (acorns) which in turn will grow to maturity and begin producing acorns which...... you get the picture. Neither can a cut on a corpse be healed. Whether enlivening animal or vegetable the mysterious life force gives life to that which it inhabits and when it departs the organism will no longer function.

To Christians the answer is to be found in John's Gospel ch:1. which states “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning . Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that was made that has been made. In Him was Life and that Life was the light of all mankind.” Jesus tell us that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and it is He and no other who gives life to all that is in the world and it is He who can take that life away.

Matthew 21: 18-22 records the example of Him who gave life to the date tree, taking that life away. Yet another example of His control over that which He created.

COL.1:16.
For by Hm were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17.
And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
18.
And He is The Head of the Body, The Church: who is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead;
that in all things He might have the Preeminence.
19.
For it pleased The Father that in Him should all fulness dwell;
20.
And, having made peace through The Blood of His Cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Hmself; by Him,
I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

All creation from an atomic partical to a Galaxy are physical manifestations of the spirital reality of God. Christ is that reality, The Universe is the word incarnate. That is what Paul meant when he said that in Christ we live and move and have our being Christ took human form to reveal the Father to us. He told his disciples whoever has seen me has seen the Father.

There is a great difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing him personally and having a relationship with him in the same way as knowing about a famous person and knowing them personally. Every person in the world has the potential to become a Son of God. The seed is planted but as in the parable of the sower what happens to that seed once sowed depends on the thoughts and actions of the individual.

The very essence of life is both fascinating and mysterous. scinetists can easily explain it using logic and scientific explanations and does make a lot of sense as well in fact it would be a perfect way to describe how like machines the human body.

However if you have felt and experienced life itself being poured into you it is the most amazing thing you will ever experience there really are no words to describe what it feels like.

The life that comes from god is on an entirely different level it isn't energy or like a feeling the best way I know how to describe it is how when you hold your breath for a long time and come up for air and that feeling of life returning to you as you take in breath after a long time of holding it and even that is pale in comparison to the life he gives.

We have life in him yes but what I am describing is supernatural it is something that I was blessed enough to experience first hand. What is life I wonder? how can one describe it in words?

Everything God made has life. But now we live in a sinful fallen state where everything because of the fall is dying. I like what Christ said.. if you stop them even the rock will cry out. How can that be? Because everything God makes has life.

I find all of this very interesting. Some or most is over my head lol

It seems to me our secular life reflects the life that is eternal. We can flow with it or fight the flow of Way, Truth, and Life.

It is like a river. We can flow with the current or fight our way upstream.

FROM GENESIS:

Chapter 1:

11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God said it, Jesus did it, and I believe it.............for me; THAT SETTLES IT!
