Totally agree. There is no call for Christians to have children but there is also no prohibition. And the Kingdom priorities override all.

I'm just sharing my experience with you. I believe that if you can find yourself a good man that you can respect, that you will probably live a happier, more meaningful life than if you remain single. I suspect you instinctively know this at some level.

We know that Paul would not teach something that contradicts the commandments of God and he said that it was good for those who have the gift to remain unmarried in Corinth for the sake of undistracted service to the Lord and to avoid trouble in the flesh. Now for those who have the gift if they were to follow that advice they would not have children and would not be in violation of breaking any commandment to multiply. Therefore using the rule of theological context we can conclude that Paul did not interpret be fruitful and multiply as a commandment that must be obeyed by every christian.

I agree a less lonely life, but not necessarily happier or more meaningful. Also depends on the marriage.

In 2020, the probability of staying together is only 50 percent. When Satan manages to rip a family to shreds through a divorce, the adults merely get devoured only once, whereas the children go through the shredder multiple times.
Because my former wife decided I wasn't a good enough Christian and didn't have the money she required, she was lured by the enemy into an affair with a wealthy older man. My son pays the price for that every week he has to be forcibly pulled away from me via Satan's earthly court system.
I say this to men, especially:
There is no law, secular or biblical, that requires you to get married and have children.
Do not let our hyper-feminist society coerce you into thinking you are less of a man because you chose to focus all your attention on God over having a family.

Amen brother. The satanic worldly court system is one of the greatest enemies of family life today. As far as the court system is concerned a man is a perpetual victim......a human punching bag. In fact I have come to the conclusion that the court systems are there to destroy families and destroy the family weath. There is no upside.......only anguish and loss for all parties. The children of course are both hostages and victims, an opinion gleaned from innumerable observations.
The court system ensures that the man is no longer the leader and authority of his household. You have been reduced to simply the chump who pays the bills. The children are in fact owned by the courts and become community property.

I appreciate your sentiments but I'm already happily married thank you. And I would never get a divorce under any circumstances I would rather be dead. You concerns are ALL valid. You're way smarter than the average bear. But here's the thing about intelligence: Intelligence doesn't mean to come to the right conclusions. It only means to can come up with fancier rationalizations for your right and wrong conclusions!
I think you're being a little bit cowardly on this one. How many times in the Bible are we warned not to be fearful? It's all over the place. It think you're allowing your fear to rob you (and your God, family, neighborhood, nation, etc) of the blessings of a child.

Yes. I am aware that having children is tremendously expensive. Yes I'm aware that most western women are utter trash due to the influence of feminism. Yes, I'm aware that the legal system is very much against men. Especially white men. I do not advise non-Christian men to marry because the risk/reward ratio doesn't pan out.
But for the Christian man guided by a Biblical moral code, I advise finding a good woman, marry her, and have a family. The blessings promised by God are worth the risk. Christendom depends on it. The future belongs to those who show up for it. Having children is a bold statement of hope. Avoiding having children is the opposite.
That's my opinion. And I think I've said enough on this subject.

You need to train a child from when they are young so they wont depart from it, but often thats hard to do in the kind of societies we live in now that dont make parenting a high priority. some countries policies actually penalise parents for having children.
if you are told just to have a roof over your head you need to work more than 40 hours a week outside of home where does that leave time for raising children. In preindustrial societies, your workplace WAS your home. and you didnt need to work forever to pay off a mortgage, often housing/ accomodation were given to you as part if your job. when you dont have to worry about having a roof over your head, and you dont have to worry about feeding yourself and dont need to compete and strive in a workplace it is then much easier to then have children.
Children are a joy but often they do not even know the hard work that may go into raising them. Most children dont take their existence for granted though, when you are young and everything is new, sometimes you are just happy being alive (without even knowing how you got here!)

I think with youth suicide being so high in nz, parents really need to have a good hard look how they are raising their children and to what end. a lot of youth dont see much a future for them methinks. Even christians can be affected with suicidal thoughts when they feel they arent good enough. A lot of burden is actually placed on the young to look after their parents or they have extremely high expectations.
Lots of things ‘shouldn’t’ happen in this fallen world but God knows, and we must trust Him and bear with it all by His grace. I sometimes ask Him, how she can bear with all the horrendous things that go on, on this earth. Nevertheless, if the Word says that children are a blessing, that they are His reward, that he knit us in the womb and knew us before we were formed; if it was His instruction for mankind to multiply, the who are we to say otherwise? For all we know we could be discouraging people being born who the Lord has great plans for; because despite us all coming from sinful generations, God is able to be glorified in any life that will surrender to Him. I remember once, seeing a testimony from an organisation called “Adpit-a-Child.’ A little boy who I think was in either the Philippines or Guatemala... he sat by the road crying, because his Grandmother was dying and his family couldn’t afford to pay the doctor to save her. He vowed in his heart that one day, he would be a doctor. This would have been incredibly difficult for a very poor boy in his country. Anyway, eventually, he was ‘adopted’ or sponsored by an American couple through ‘Adopt-a-Child,’ and bless God, that boy grew up to be a doctor and a Christian
We must always keep hold of hope cv5, and faith too... and love. There really is power in Jesus and prayer, and what you have said is something is believers/ priests of the Most High, must intercede about. We must pray for the salvation of the parents/ traffickers of theses kids, and keep looking to Jesus, otherwise it will crush is for sure. We must pray that more labourers are sent out into the fields that are white unto harvest... even in early Bible times they were offering children in the fire to Molech; but this is not a reason to discourage people from having babies, or else evil has won, and as I’ve said, who knows which people yet to be born will be the ones God will use mightily. The Bible says it is Yehovah who opens and closes the womb, so it is up to Him.We must pray about wicked governments etc. because this is the problem, not having babies.

God provides... its sin that causes the problems in this world, not having babies ... God made plenty resources to go around, it’s the wicked corruption of human beings that messes this up. Uneven distribution of wealth, oppression of people who would otherwise have access to rich resources like in Africa for example, babies shouldn’t cost to much to bring up, all this talk of debt it’s the way the elite manipulate the economy. It’s evil. Having babies is not evil, it’s one of the most wonderful things in the whole wide world and Jesus said that Heaven is made of such as these
No women are utter trash... remember Jesus died for them just like He died for you and me... feminism is only another deception and a reaction to the dreadful oppression caused by male chauvinism; neither are right, but then nothing is right until a life is surrendered to Jesus in whom is all truth, grace, wisdom and love.
The legal system is corrupt in many ways; not just in relation to white men, but all races and both sexes can suffer discrimination and do, in this fallen, sin-sick world. That is why the only answer is for a person to hand their life over to Jesus, trusting in His blood as payment for their sin, and surrender to a life lived for Him which will never be in vain. One day that person will be with Him forever, and anything suffered in this life will have been easily worth it for Him.
But please remember, He loves those women you refer to as utter trash, and they have been blinded by Satan, just like the rest of the folks on this earth who do not have the light of Christ; and such were some of us before we accepted Him.
One would expect every Christian to be in accord with you in this matter. Which shows that the world in influencing Christians more than the Word.
God made me a nurturer. Having children in your life has a way of teaching you valuable lessons.
It is a testament to God's love. I would die for my children because I love them. He sent His son to die for us.
God created me to have children; I have had a strong instinct all my life and have been tremendously fulfilled in my life to carry, deliver, nurse, cradle and love children

I am truly sorry to hear what has happened to you, similar has happened to me and much worse but I am thankful I have had my children.
Don’t allow the powers of darkness and the painful experiences to blind you from the good things. Your son is a blessing, it will always be a blessing you had him, all the precious times since he was conceived. Also, even though you and I have suffered great loss and it is very hard, this doesn’t mean we should discourage others from marriage and children. God is able to work all for the good of those who love Him and even though I have suffered a lot, I am still definitely glad I did not remain single and childless. x
