President Trump would be more than happy to remove membership from the UN, a waste of American dollars, his recent actions regarding the World Health Org is a loud voice regarding his feelings.

As I stated in post #41 above, the G20 has replaced the UN 20 years ago, that's comprised of the world's superpowers., Economy, War, Weapons.

The UN is nothing more than a liberal commie globalist platform, America has no need to be involved.

My grandparents never relied on government for anything and when a pandemic came, two world wars and a great depression they survived.

Sad that people are in debt up to there ears ... but have to have a vacation every other month and then want the government to take care of them when hard times come.

The host country grants the use of such soil but that is not the same as ownership. Even then, US government seizes land all of the time by use of the eminent domain clause per the US Constitution. Any country, per the Vienna Convention may order the guest country to vacate any embassy at any time. However, you are correct in that while the embassy is occupied by a foreign power it is considered a territory of such power and their rights are protected under International Law.

Actually, this is incorrect. According to International law (specifically the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations) the host country can, at anytime withdraw the status of any embassy or institution that has been accorded diplomatic status.

My response to the so-called truther was not about the UN or the UN’s alleged agenda. It was about a statement about the demolition of a building. The UN sits in a treaty signed in 1946, that can be broken and provisions provide for payment of the land at fair market value.

President Trump can restrict travel to the US as was seen in the Iranian UN diplomats.

It can't harbor wanted figures, such as murderers etc from American arrest.

Under Section 6 below, the US could consider the UN building a threat to US security, and restrict "All Foreign Nationals" from it's building.

I still do not see anything that states the USA can revoke the soil the UN sits on.
