Fruit is everywhere in the Bible.

Luke6:43
For no good tree bears bad fruit.
John 15:8

By this my Father is Glorified, that you BEAR MUCH FRUIT and so prove to be my disciples.

Here Jesus is speaking about false teachers.

33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Here Jesus is speaking about false teachers.

43 “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Luke 6:43

Here Jesus is speaking about the disciples going out and making more disciples... continue on to verse 16

8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. .......
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might GO and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

All this must be read in context and how the the first hearers would have understood it to mean... not our modern day 21st century lens.

I disagree with your and a few others interpretation of these scriptures.

I am also a disciple of Jesus in this 21 st century....a good tree cannot bear bad fruit.

Figs only grow on fig trees and not thorn bushes.

A tree can have bad fruit of its kind but NOT bad fruit of a different kind... that is what Jesus is saying

Yet certainly there are bad apples on a healthy apple tree. ... however, an apple tree cannot have the inedible berry that grows on a brier tree.

As a disciple.that I am.

Remain in me ,as I also remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself,it must remain in the Vine.
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

I submit my will to the Lord,as the more I do the more abundantly he blesses my life....because his fruit is growing more and more in my heart.

They were His apostles.

It is right there in black and white... and disciple means learner, follower.
And while yes we are..... it still must be understood in context.

And I also understand it in context....which is the opposite to your and a few others context.

The Holy Spirit speaks to me through scripture as I am saved and also a disciple of the Lord’s

Which I must say..is an Honour and a Privilege....nothing is greater than belonging to God!

I remain in Him and He is Faithful and remains in me.....I don’t ever want to go back to the way my behaviour was in the past....it hurt me and it hurt God.

It was very destructive and not good for my soul.

Disciples of Jesus are known by their fruit.
I know I am late to this thread but but I wanted to give my thoughts on this subject.
While it was pointing to false prophets it can be applied to several things such as false teachers or the believer or even a person who claims to be a Christian but in heart is not.

This also is when testing the spirits is applied and also the gift of discernment of spirits as well, Believers are to mature in recognizing the fruits but some such as false prophets or some who claim to be Christian but instead have the spirit of the enemy can be more difficult to recognize and discern as they can disguise themselves very well.

False teachers for the most part are simple enough to recognize most of the time but sometimes they too can be more difficult to distinguish this is why knowing the fruits the testing of the spirit and the gift of discernment coincide so well together but even if one doesn't have the gift of discerning spirits ( although we all do but some are more gifted in this area) one can still test and recognize these things

Can you find a bible passage that states persecution brings about good fruit as in "fruit of the Spirit."
Jesus is the example. Christ Crucified. Persecution for Him was an opportunity to forgive and that's what he came for. Then Steven followed Jesus they hated him too his testimony enraged them. He asked that their sin not be held against them.
I think the fruit is Saul becomes Paul. Saul was a key player against Steven authorizing his death. Ouch! That's a big log.The first martyr asked the Father to not hold it against him. Obviously that prayer was heard.

The first Christians rejoiced when persecuted. It's Grace to wash one's robes in the blood of Christ.

For instance a user on here from yesterday who I am sure is banned now came on here and he was a Jewish person, He made a thread and posted his post, in all honesty I could not understand the point he was trying to make in it:confused: but when his point was question or disagreed with he instantly made attacks while lifting himself up, he laimed that by disagreeing we were the children of the devil and made false accusation of people and when I corrected him about all this he said I was twisting words and speaking the serpents tongue or whatever.

This is a very obvious example of the fruits that are not of Christ the spirit of accusation pointing fingers while elevating yourself

This sounds like let evil happen so that good may come out of it, I would disagree.

We bear fruit by abiding in the vine ..... Jesus and He is the supply and source not persecution.

I abide and bear fruit because of relationship and fellowship with Jesus... not because I am hated... I could not disagree more.
Nothing wrong with that. It's not an either or thing. All kinds of fruit brother.

Something good to apply to how bad things can bring about fruits is if we ask for more faith ddoes God usually just hand it to us or does he give us an opportuniy to grow in faith? If we ask to be strong does he just make us strong or does he give us the trials to grow and become strong? It's kind of like the human body, our muscles only bear fruits ( odd way of comparing I know) from the tearing labor and rebuilding of the tissue that is why opur muscles hurt after we use them but that also means they are growing

Paul studied under a guy named Gameile? Anyway he said to leave the Christian sect be. If it's not from God it will die if it is nothing could stop it. He was kinda saying we'll know by it's fruits.

Stephen already had the love in His heart to forgive, I do not see that the love was created by the persecution.

Yes but it is easy to love but much harder to love when persecuted, Jesus said to love you enemy there is a reason why he said that.

Oh but it can be.......it’s understanding ,what one can receive through persecution...that can and does bring forth the Love of Christ....

I couldn’t understand why I was so persecuted.......then the Lord showed me....it was because I was a believer.......through that persecution I learnt so much......and thank God,greatly for it.

Perseverance!

Yes even Paul said he was grateful for his sufferings it takes a strong spirit and one of love to grow in persecution

If you rely on human effort.. not if the Love is poured from God... persecution can cause us to rely on Him, however persecution does have to necessarily be the precursor to relying and trusting Him.
