I strongly disagree

There will be one future resurrection of all that will take place at the second coming of Jesus Christ, immediately after the tribulation.

John 5:28-29KJV
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Only the dead in Christ at the rapture.

Very simple and easy to understand

Enoch nor any of the rest in that passage received the promise, they all went to paradise where they waited until Jesus came and paid the price for their redemption.
👍 maybe still humbly waiting for the Resurrection.

John 5:29 speaks of two of the three resurrections, and even specifies the difference thereof by their names:

[1] the resurrection of life, aka "resurrection of the just" (Luke 14:14), aka "just" (Acts 24:15), aka "the first" (Revelation 20:5,6)
[2] the resurrection of damnation, aka "unjust" (Acts 24:15)

Act_24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

"both" means two (ie, see Ruth 1:5, etc), not one.

So, you may of course, "strongly disagree", but the very verses you cited, prove what I stated, and disprove what you believe.

Jesus said those who believe in him will never die so the dead in Christ can only be those who died in Christ BEFORE Christ came.

No they're in heaven with Jesus. They were raised with Christ when he rose from the dead.
I believe something close to that. I don't want to spoil the moment. Just glad you understood they were in Paradise waiting. May the Lord continue to bless you.

No they didn't die, they were translated just like all believers are translated BEFORE the death of this body. And that's my point, there is no such thing as "the dead in Christ" after the resurrection of Christ.... believer's never experience death, it can not be said that a believer died.

"All these" are defined in the passage as "those that have turned the world upside".

You said "Basic grammar. So also with Hebrews 11. "These all" in verse 13 pertain to ALL who received the Promises."

I'm assuming the above is a typo because the bible says the opposite, it says "not having received the promises. You are correct in saying "These all" in verse 13 pertain to "ALL who recieved the Promises", but again I'm assuming that "ALL who received the Promises" is a typo.

So "These all" in those verses pertain to the ones who died in faith, "not having received the promises". Enoch nor any of the rest in that passage received the promise, they all went to paradise where they waited until Jesus came and paid the price for their redemption.
OK. I'll give it one more try. Here is the full text we discuss. Hebrews 11:8-13.

8 "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."

Verse 8 introduces a man who was promised something - a Land with borders. Not one of the characters in the preceding verses received a promise. Vere 9 then includes two more men who received the "same promise" - Isaac and Jacob. They all dwelt in the "place" (v.8) that they should receive as an inheritance. The subject of the Promise was a PLACE, not an MAN, and these who received the promised dwelt IN it but confessed that (i) it was a strange country, though it was (ii) the LAND of promise. In verse 10 the significance of dwelling in "TABERNACLES" in this strange Land is made apparent. It is CONTRASTED to a CITY. A CITY in scripture is a place of RULING - of GOVERNMENT. So, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob never GOVERNED this Land which they were promised. Though Abraham defeated its kings, he refused the spoil and declared that he would receive them only at the hand of God, not men.

Next, Sarah is introduced. Sarah's contribution is, together with Abraham, to bring forth, from a barren womb, two peoples. (i) A people as the stars of heaven, and (ii) a people as the sand of the sea shore. And the emphasis is on the "many". Who isable to count the stars and who can accurately number the grains of sand on a shoreline? Who are these? Well, for a start, they are defined as those who did NOT receive the PROMISES! Who then did not receive the promises but died before they could be delivered? The answer is FOUR GENERATIONS OF ISRAELITES! We pick up in Genesis 15:13-16 with Abraham about to RATIFY the Covenant of PROMISE with blood.

13 "And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, his twelve sons, and FOUR generations of Israelites, SEED OF ABRAHAM, died before they could receive the PROMISED LAND! The fourth generation was numbered at about 2 million, with 600,000 men of war above 20 years of age. This is the "ALL" of Hebrews 11:13. Neither Abel, Enoch or Noah received a Covenant of Promise for a PLACE, a LAND with borders, an INHERITANCE. Abel, Enoch and Noah CANNOT be included in the "ALL" of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and four generations of his SEED. They were NOT part of the Covenant of Promise. God made it with Abraham's SEED, not Adam's seed.

The Bible states that Enoch did NOT see death. There is, after this, no record of his death. It should be our pleasure to BELIEVE God's Word and not expend all our energy trying to invalidate it.

Thanks for the exchange brother. Go well.

You're telling me that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons DIED before they could receive the promised land and Hebrews 11:19 specifically says that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob lived in IN THE LAND OF PROMISE looking for the true promise which was a city and builder who's maker was God.... Heavenly Jerusalem.

(Heb 11:9) By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

That land that they were dwelling in was not, and is not, the Promises that "these all died without receiving".

Take your time bro. It's important because (i) the Promise has been extended since then (Rom.4:13), and (ii) you are an heir to these promises (Gal.3:29), and (iii) the last person who despised his birthright was hated by God (Mal.1:3; Rom.9:13; Heb.12:16-17).

Only the dead in Christ at the rapture.

Very simple and easy to understand
No pre trib rapture found in scripture.

The resurrection of all takes place on the last day, immediately after the tribulation, at the second coming in fire and final judgement, earth dissolved, new Heaven Earth,

Matthew 25:31-46 sheep/goat is nothing more than a (parable) of the final great white throne judgement seen in Rev 20:11-15

I'm very clear in my teaching and belief

Dispensationalism falsely teaches the second coming and last day resurrection is a (Pre-Trib) rapture, as seen in 1 Thes 4:15-17

(SIMPLE) You clearly see a resurrection of the believer (The Dead In Christ Shall Rise First)

The resurrection of the dead believers takes place on the (LAST DAY) as Jesus Christ taught below in John 6:39-40

There Is No Time Beyond The Last Day, Eternity Begins!

1 Thes 4:15-17KJV
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

(The Last Day Resurrection)

John 6:39-40KJV
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Just so that I understand where you're coming from, what promise was made to Abraham and the rest on the list in Hebrews that died, that wasn't promised to Enoch. Thanks.
  1. Abraham was Promised a Land that had borders (Gen.13:14-17), could be seen (Gen.12:1) and walked in (Gen.12:6-7)
  2. Abraham was Promised to be the father of many nations. He produced Ishmael, Isaac, and 6 sons from Kerturah
  3. Abraham was Promised to be the father of two notable peoples, one earthly and one heavenly (Gen.22:17)
  4. Abraham was Promised that his seed would possess the gates of his enemies (Gen.22:17)
  5. Abraham was Promised that his seed would be heirs to the whole world (Rom.4:13)
  6. Abraham was Promised that God would bless those that blessed him and curse those who cursed him (Gen.12:3)
  7. Abraham was Promised that in his seed all the families of the earth would be blessed (Gen.12:3)
If you check up, Abraham did not live long enough to enjoy the fulfillment of one of the above.
  • The meaning of the word "sojourner" in the Hebrew is "foreigner" or "stranger"
  • Abraham refused the spoils from the "slaughter of kings"
  • Abraham refused the field of Machpelah as a gift, but paid for it, indicating his lack of ownership of the Land
  • Abraham never owned Canaan, but will in the Millennium (Matt.8:11)
  • Abraham saw only Isaac, not the great nation that Jacob would sire
  • Abraham did not see the offspring of Ishmael, Esau's and Kerturah's sons
  • Abraham saw neither a people "as the sand of the sea shore" (Israel), nor a people "as the stars" (the Church)
  • Abraham defeated three kings but refused their possessions
  • Abraham's seed as the sand will only possess Canaan "as an everlasting possession" after their resurrection (Gen.17:8; Ezek.37)
  • Abraham's seed as the stars will only possess the whole world after their resurrection
  • Abraham's seed as the stars will bring heavenly rule to earth in the Millennium and cause all the families of earth to be blessed
  • Abraham's "Seed" (singular Capitalized) is refused by Israel and given to the Gentiles
  • Abraham's "Seed" (singular Capitalized) will only possess the gates of his enemies in the Millennium (Gal.3:16)
  • Abraham's seed occupied Canaan for less than 1,000 years and were cast out
  • Abraham's seed were born and lived and died in the diaspora - not occupying Canaan
Since God made man to be in His image and likeness, and to rule the earth, the Covenant of Promise is vital to the Christian. That is why Galatians Chapter 3 goes to lengths to establish those IN Christ as heirs to this Covenant (Gal.3:29). The Olive Tree of Romans 11 is another example of the Coming Kingdom which contains both Israel as well as the Church. The New Jerusalem is the consummate expression of the Covenant of Promise established. If it were not for Jesus Christ, the Covenant of Promise could not be fulfilled for Israel, having rejected Jesus, are still forgiven their iniquities and restored to their Land. The Covenant of Promise been fulfilled is vital to God's reputation, for He swore this Covenant with an OATH (Heb.6:16-17).

I agree completely with your post except for the fact that the Rapture is indeed found in the Gospel of John.

JOHN 14: THE RAPTURE REVEALED BEFORE THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Anyone who deliberately tries to confuse the Resurrection/Rapture with the Second Coming of Christ is impervious to the truth, and has his own agenda.
Is it agenda, or is it the fact that in 1 Thessalonians 4 and in all the famous "rapture passages" its talking about a "COMING"

Not that much of a deliberate conspiracy there for someone to think its the second coming.

How can Jesus claim he is sent only to the lost sheep of Israel, and also claim his words are also to the Gentiles?

Oh well, it seems you are only clear in your own mind.
Easy, He is sent to the lost sheep of Israel only, He said this prior to His death burial and resurrection.
THEN after the resurrection He said "go into all nations" to the disciples. No problem or mystery.

Jesus knew your false idea of this was coming and even told them (AFTER THE RESURRECTION) for them to not only go into all the nations and baptize but also to TEACH them what Jesus had taught them.

For those who are wondering why I put after the resurrection there on emphasis, its cause some of these folks believe that testament is of no effect while men are alive, only after they die. And this is in hebrews, they misunderstand this to mean that Jesus said one thing, then Paul came along and taught another thing. What they dont realize is Jesus gave the testament while alive, and then it became of force at his death / burial / resurrection.
Just like our testaments today, we give it while alive, we dont die and then give a new testament to some family member. Seriously guys.
