I don’t have an opinion on faith since I don’t think it exists.
Well, actually you do have an opinion, you say "it doesn't exist." If ever I've seen an opinion, that certainly is one.

Since you believe it exists the burden of proof is on you.
Too late, the burden of proof is already on you to prove your above "opinion." :)

Is it illogical that the man in the moon does not exist. There is no faith involved with statement. And I don’t need to prove he doesn’t.
Faith does not prove that It exist by doing something [First] Although a person that has faith will show that what they believe In Is the truth by acting It out so that man can believe that what they say Is what they believe.

I wanted to find someone who had common sense and was able to reason.
You wanted to find someone who agrees with you. But all Christians have faith. So it is impossible that you will find any Christian to agree with you.

You say you don't believe in faith, and yet you ask what is faith. It doesn't matter what anyone says, you will reject it.

So really, you are just being an idler.

Motivation and desire to do good come from inside and it is shown by good works. Many people that don’t believe in God have many good works so again, this does not prove that faith exists.
tell me,how would you know how they feel Inside.
SHEW me your faith without your works and I will SHEW you my faith by my works.

You see only GOD can see your heart(true motive).Man can do good things that can be seen by man but only GOD knows If that good thing was done righteously.

My problem is why would I even want to “know” him if there is nothing drawing me to the whole idea. There is plenty of reasons not to go in the direction of pursuing Some kind of a relay with any god.
That is how it was for me as well. Personally I hated church growing up and the idea of God didn't make sense to me, I believed he might be real only because of my upbringing but never sought him out.

It actually wasn't until I was at my worst that brought me to him I felt alone uncared about misunderstood and unloved. I had a family that cared about me but I never was heard by anyone no one ever paid attention to me and and no one listened to the problems I was dealing with inside no one saw me as I was or understood me in the least bit. even now my family is like this with me.

I had no firends no one I could turn to and just did the same things every day because I didn't have much I could do all alone eventually it felt like I was just adfirft in this life like I simply exist but have no real meaning or purpose in life I was tired of feeling alone and unloved and I remembered how when I did go to church these Christians seemed more alive they seemed to have a purpose they seemed to be happier in general and I wanted that too more than anything.

He drew me to him not because I believed he was real but because I needed him and finally realized it. Honestly in my tears alone at night as I begged him to come into my heart I wasn't even expecting him to answer me I was already so used to that but the next morning I woke up full of life and I am not a morning person I require a butt load of coffee to wake up but that morning I literally leaped out of bed and danced around my room in joy.

He draws us to him and not always in the same way for me it was because I longed for something no one in my life or this world would give me perhaps for some it begins as curiosity or others still they want to see for themselves what everyone seems to be proclaiming.

You left the door wide open for a mini testimony. Thank you.

In 1977 on a beautiful spring afternoon I was walking through a park about sunset. I saw a circle of people about my age gathered under a tree. They looked happy and were singing contemporary sounding songs. playing guitars, tamborines and even a harmonica. It seemed to be cool fun so I approached. They were singing christian lyrics and the invited me to join. They were modern, contemporary yet hardcore Christians

It was on my way home and learned they gathered several nights a week so I visited them often. They were non denominational christians who went to events and concerts at a several different churches. Jesus freaks they were called. They mostly lived in the area but had no church or Pastor. Just a dude that owned a used book store nearby. He gave me a bible.

They heard that 2 evangelist missionaries were returning from Africa and took up a collection to rent a high school auditorium. They/we and invited them and everybody to come and hear about there travels and experiences as missionaries. I was amazed by what I heard. We took a collection and offered it to them. They refused it. They started walking around and selected individuals to pray for. No strings.

They came to me and tanked Jesus for providing me as a witness. People all around started praiseing and thanking God. I was deeply moved but skeptical so I prayed to a god that I was never convinced exested. It could have been group psychosis or something like that. I asked Jesus if he was real, prove it to me.

That night in my dank and dark apartment the lights suddenly came on and Jesus made himself real to me. The Holy Spirit filled me first with more love. Than I ever had for anything or anyone. I've never doubted agani. when the sun rose I was still thanking and praising the Lord. I've never doubted His reality since.

Sometimes a witness is evidence enough to indite or even execute. I'm a witness. I'll never deny it happened and many others I have known have had similar experiences. @Deade @Magenta, can I get a witness? Amen?
That... was... amazing!

Well If you really don't want to believe in God why are you here? To turn us away. Christ is the groom and Christians are the brides of Christ. If you are not attracted to him why should he invite you? Do you expect him to to beg you or kidnap you. That's not the kind of God we worship.

I'm putting you on ignore till you give up, repent or get banned. I'm sorry but if you don't want help goodbye.

My friend if I may let me give you a testimony.
five or so years ago an Athiest came on here, now there was a forum that had athiests who loved to troll Christians I cannot remember the name of it or if it is still there but basically athiests would brag on their achievements on trolling Christians online This athiest came on here and raised chaos he knew how to push peoples buttons he knew the topics to get a rise out of people and he wanted everyone to attack him and they did

Everyone in the bdf was attacking this guy throwing scripture just basically taking every thing he threw at them and throwing it beck double.
He and I began to debate and he would call me names make fun of me attack my faith he even made fun of God and said I was well I can't really say it lets just say this guy knew a lot of curse words.

But I responded to him only in a calm mature and christ like manner and because of this he turned his attention and attacks to me he was relentless in trying to provoke me but I only responded the very same I always did.
One day he messaged me and said that he came on here from that forum and he and his friends were pros when it came to provoking and getting a rise out Christians it was a game to them and they were great at it.
He then went on to say that he threw the bait out and everyone took it except me he said he couldn't tell if he was annoyed or impressed and he was soon banned afterwards. about a year later a new user came on here and messaged me it was the same guy he said he wasn't going to stay but he wanted to let me know that how I responded to him and talked with him reasoned with him and didn't lash out made him curious and he was saved about four months later.

So in the same way this person we are talking to may end up the same way banning him and responding to him the way you did is counter productive there is power in words and how it is used will always be the deciding factor

i was a Christian for 30 years and I finally figured out the people are just going through the motions. If you think what you believe in is real and it makes you happy then there is no harm for you as long as it you can keep the delusion going. I found peace when I finally stopped trying to live a life that people were telling me to live but there was nothing to back it up and no power. I don’t have a heavenly dictator watching over me waiting for me to mess up so he can “correct” me. What I heard today from your fellow Christians was very sincere and heartfelt I am sure. The hill logiWhat I heard today from your fellow Christians was very sincere and heartfelt I am sure. The illogic and appeal to faith with zero evidence confirms that I am much more in tune with the truth in nature.

My intent was to inform him I wasn't going to play his game or allow him to disrupt my serenity any more at all.

Matthew 7:6
New Living Translation
“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you." That's all folks!

Yes I understand my reasoning was that sometimes God brings us a case for a purpose and he seems to be in a stale situation he wouldn't come here asking about faith if there was no reason or purpose behind it he seems to inteligent to do that I think he is honestly having internal battles and maybe even wants to believe but is unable

it was pure emotion when I was at a low point. Christians reached out to me and because they gave me attention I believe everything they said. After a few years I was doing my morning devotions and it just hit me that this was a meaningless exercise and that there was nothing real about a relationship with any supernatural being. So I allowed myself to question what I heard and what was in the Bible and I felt this freeing up of my mind and emotions and I decided to stop playing the game. It was about 10 years ago and now I am Much more peaceful and content. I like to talk to people who might be in the same situation and help them to understand that they have worth all by themselves and they don’t have to be afraid of a heavenly dictator. And by the way, I was never rude or used foul language because that never helps anybody. Thanks for listening.

I thought most religions were false and most preachers were frauds. I met some christians in a casual, social situation. I and started fellowshipping with them as well as studying the bible. The day I really knew, we rented a school auditorium on Saturday. The day before Pentecost 1977 and I was water baptized in a public lagoon a few weeks later.

I’m glad that you found a group that you can belong to. We are social beings and want to be with people that accept us. Unfortunately, it doesn’t say anything about what they are teaching and preaching being true.

I see I was afraid of that. Now by all means I am not trying to rope you in or anything I am mearly expalining. You see there is avst difference between a Christian by title and a Christian by heart, you can go to church, you pray every day you do good works you can even know the bible like the back of your hand but that isn't what makes one a Christian. The difference between the two is simply this- the ralationship. You were right in saying you felt like you were just going through the motions because that is what a Christian by title feels the only good thing about my salvation experience was that I was not influence by others I had no one I did go to church because I wanted meaning I wanted to not be alone anymore but even though I did these things something felt like it was missing I wanted the real thing I had heard how personal a God he is and I knew that simply going to church and doing all these things was not what I was searching for it felt more like a chore or grinding.

When he comes into you trust me you will know it it's not simply a spiritual high or an emotional stimulant you can feel the clear difference inside you have a new sense of being. Have you ever held your breath as long as you can under water and when you finally come up and gasp for air you can feel life coming back into you? it is kind of like but always it never goes away you begin to see things with different eyes you begin to want to know him to want to be like him to develop a deeper and richer love and bond with him you are unable to know any different because of the new nature you have been given.

Religion teaches the traditions of Christianity the what to do's the how to do's the things we are to do as Christians but religion cannot teach you how to have an actual relationship with him, it cannot teach you what it feels like to learn who he is his personality raits his heart and it cannot teach you the bond that is made when two hearts like ours and his connect.

The connection is what you were missing. How often did you just talk with him? You see father is not what most people think he loves to see us do all the things we do as believers but more than that he loves to just spend time with us. He wants us to let him be our own personal diaries he adores it when we just talk with him get to know him ask him questions even relay to him our day how it made us feel how it affected us he literally listens to everything.

The more you talk with him the easier it becomes the easier it becomes the more you do it the more you do it the closer you and him become. You can feel the bond inside you when he lives in your heart, you can feel the deepening of the inimacy you can see the changes this relationship makes in you. What you had was religion without the bond I was worried this was the case and is why I asked.

It is entirely up to you but I would like you to try to talk with him tell him all this I would even go so far as to test him ask him to prove he is real ask him to prove he is a God of bonds and relationship.

Yes I understand where Calibob is coming from and I also see the stance of Timps, It may be my bleeding heart but I want to help Timps any way I can and I don't think putting him on ignore waiting for him to give or get banned is the way to go about it that is all I was saying.

I can tell he is smart and this is the bdf and in any debate reasoning and listening is the best way to go about any dispute and as I suspected he was in religion not in the relationship and perhaps I cannot convince him at all perhaps I am wasting my time but I saw how far Jesus was willing to go for all our sakes and he would have gone through all of that a thousand times for just one lost soul.

At the very least I want to let him know that he is accepted saved or not, any of us could have gone through the 30 years he did if I went through the motions like that I would be the same as him. As Christians we don't turn people away because they don't believe or because they argue or even attack us which he didn't attack or anything but we show love compassion understanding patience the fruits of the spirit.

Christians in the worlds eyes are seen as hypocrites judgmental condemning and just worshiping a God to find self worth or to be in a community where they feel they belong, this is why when one comes across a Christian who seems abnormal compared to other believers even if it is only a very small one a spark is made they may not even think about for years but that tiny seed while buried was indeed planted.

That was the point of the testimony I gave, an athiest that comes to seek kill and destroy but because one person didn't follow the crowd God used him to show his heart and that athiest became saved.

Words have far more power in them than we realize and God uses those who are willing to be used
