James 1:16

Do err my beloved brethren.
"Do err?"

Hmmm.

Unfortunately your stance is so unbiblical, full of pride, based in out of context Scripture to berate others, to the extent you defend yourself and cannot see your error, and that you are unteachable. God ordered and decreed we learn by men even after the apostolic age. You use a verse out of context to say you don't need what Gd has ordered.

Have a good evening.

I disagree.

And the accusatory tone of your posts in not appreciated, "Preacher".

If I am going to be admonished, at least use scripture to back it up.

It is the final line in the proverbial sand. God is giving all of humanity time to chose between the kingdom of God or the fallen kingdom of Satan....and this is the final straw....All that will not receive tue love of the truth will be deluded by God into believing the beast is God...all lost men will identify with the King of the Bottomless pit, chose to be identified with him by mark instead of being sealed into God's kingdom and the end comes!........

Death and decay are part of creation. Sin didn't change creation in that way. God expected mankind to lift creation out of that futile existence. We sinned and we entered that futile existence and God rescued us. Creation is waitimg to see the the children of God as Paul teaches , it groans as it waits.
It seems to me scripture is telling us that sin was not part of Adam's world until he disobeyed and sin entered in. You seem to disagree with this, but how you see scripture telling you this is not clear to me. Please, would you try to explain again?

It seems to me important we know this, for giving us the opportunity to not let sin cause our death is the base of all of Christ.

Boy, anyone with this mindset when those things come to pass (Revelation 1:1) will be in for a rude awakening...

I'll take my chances with the Bible in context, not a bunch of people selling books, videos scaring people with a bad interpretations of end times.

Disputes are so brainwashed, aren't you?

The scriptures themselves should put the fear of God in you, not wordly things:

2 Peter 3:10-12
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought YE to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Your laugh emoji on my post is no surprise.

Jude 1:18
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time...

Why did God say that we would go to Hell if we took the Mark of the Beast? And why is it called the Mark of the Beast? There must be more to it that we do not understand at this point. Without it we can not feed our family or provide a place to live.
Good day, Silverwings!

First of all, if you are a believer in Christ you will not have to worry about the mark of the beast, because it will become mandatory during the time of God's wrath, which we as believers are not appointed to suffer and that because our Lord already took upon himself God's wrath that every believer deserves, satisfying it completely. Therefore, the wrath of God no longer rests upon those who believe in His Son and therefore we cannot be on the earth to be exposed to said wrath. When we received Christ we were credited with His righteousness and reconciled to God. God's wrath will be carried out via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, with the first seal initiating God's wrath. Therefore, the church must be gathered prior to the opening of the first seal.

To answer your first question, to receive the mark of the beast would be to worship the beast, who will obviously be against God. For of him scripture says that he will open his mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven." So by receiving his mark one would be aligning himself with the beast and Satan and turning their backs on God. The mark will be a type of line being drawn in the sand, so-to-speak, forcing people to make a willful decision between God and Satan. That said, as believers in Christ we are called to be prepared to persecuted and even put to death for our faith in Christ and the word of God. Receiving the mark would be an act of saving one's own life and thereby completely turning their backs on God.

Remember when Jesus said "whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." Many of the people who will be caught in the time period of God's wrath will be there because they continued to reject Christ. The mark will force them to make an absolute decision between God and Satan, because the mark belongs to the beast who represents Satan. During that time, the scripture says that "unless anyone had the mark they will not be able to buy or sell." In order for this to work, all other methods of buying and selling must be made obsolete, so that the only valid way to electronically buy or sell will be via that mark and therefore forcing each individual to make a decision. Going back to the scripture previously mentioned, those who receive the mark will do so to save their owns lives in opposition to taking their stand for God . In other words, they will be more concerned for their own lives opposed to taking their stand for God by resisting the beast and that because they love their own lives more than God.

And why is it called the Mark of the Beast?
As the scripture states, the mark will go in/on the right hand or forehead and that without it no one will be able to buy or sell. Putting that into perspective for our time, buying and selling is the electronic crediting and debiting of our bank accounts, which is being set up in preparation for that coming beast and his mark. You see that people already have no qualms about paying for things by swiping their cards, which is desensitizing them to the mark that is coming. It will simply be going from using a debit or credit card to make a purchase, to having a device on their bodies that will be more convenient for making their purchases. The mark will eventually replace the swiping of credit and debit cards, as well as cell phone bank apps. The scripture states that it will be the number of a man. Just as our current credit and debit cards have embedded in them country codes, county codes, branch codes, etc., so also will that mark of the beast have his name as a number encoded in that device, so that it will demonstrate an undeniable identification between the person who receives it and the beast, like with an owner's unique "brand-mark" giving irrefutable connection between parties.

"Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666." - Revelation 13:18

"And a third angel followed them, calling out in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he too will drink the wine of God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented in fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. Day and night there is no rest for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

The technology for the mark via an RFID chip is already here, which will evolve into something more applicable in preparation for that coming antichrist and with people already eagerly receiving it. To see this technology, watch the following clips

Unlearned in mans religious traditions.

Bible college is where one goes to get skilled in mans traditions.

Making much of the Bible of none effect to them.

Lucky for me! I didn't go to Bible college for 1 or 2 years. I went to seminary and now am in an advanced theological school, working on a PhD in theology. My undergrad degree was from a secular university, where I learned a lot about this world and the environment.

I was just reflecting how glad I am God called me to seminary, and now to do my PhD. I have learned so much more about God, the Bible, and helping God's people. Every course I have taken has enriched my life and understanding so much. And I do not comprehend why people think it is better to be unlearned. Well except for Paul, like an afterthought! You know, the one who wrote a lot of the NT. But his Greek is easier to read than Luke's Greek & whoever wrote Hebrews. John was not as educated. His books are excellent for beginning Greek. And for foundational theology.

So if people want to insult my learning and training, there is always the ignore button. So why do I think we should continue learn and grow, esp proper hermeneutics, or how to interpret the Bible?

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Tim 3:16-17

Studying the Bible is what God called me to do. In fact, he calls everyone to do it. That doesn't mean reading fiction books or other off beat people who are clueless. It means studying a long line of scholars, from the early church fathers, through the Greek scholars, Augustine, Catholic scholars like Aquinas, through the Reformation to today.

Then studying the Bible, comparing and contrasting theologians, praying and rejecting their ideas, or discovering new ideas. I was very uninformed about theology the first 25 years after God saved me. God opened some very wide doors for me, to introduce me, and literally move me from one movement, (charismatic) to another, Reformed. Very sad so many people are stunted in their growth, and won't even look into other theologies, because the Bible is very consistent about many things, and dispensationalism and Arminianism aren't it!

You grow by the word of truth, not by other theologies.

Ephesians 4:15
...speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ

1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

The Bible project gives the best answer for this in my opinion.

The forehead and hand part comes from the Jewish prayer in Deuteronomy. Essentially it's giving all your thoughts and actions toward the beast.

The number 666 is because Hebrew letters are also numbers. Nero Caesar and the beast are the same. But there are also other ones.

The Bible project explains it much better.

Your bible does not say the same things mine does. What does this bible you own say about the garden of Eden? What does it say the effect on the world was when Adam sinned? Was there death before sin was let loose? Was there atonement before Christ or did even David and Moses face death?
My Bible says Satan tempted and deceived Eve and both her and Adam sinned, so Satan was there with them. Are you saying Satan was not in the garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned? Your Bible is indeed very different from mine, then. You better get a new/different one!

So being ignorant and not understanding context makes you holier than me? I've watched you sparring with P4T. You keep using out of context verses to bash him. So no, standing up for truth makes you holy, which you are not. I guess that is bragging again?

Just a note for you. I don't read KJV, because I have never studied 16th century English. Too many weird word orders, obsolete words and grammar.

Feel free to post in modern English, or Koine Greek, Biblical Hebrew, French or German! I've studied those languages and I have a lot of tools in those languages to aid me in reading the Bible in those languages. I just finished Rev 22 last night. That's all the way through the NT in Greek. My German is not as good, but I am reading the NT in German, and learning lots as I read.

I never said such a thing. That's what you read-into of your own mind.

I disagree; they were pertinent to the conversation.

I would highly recommend it.

How can someone so intelligent as you have a hard time with the KJV?

I see why @preacher4truth got involved in the conversation now, and why you interpreted my posts as "bashing" him; I guess you two are acquainted with each other somehow.

This right, scripture is truth. But this truth is not secular but of things we see only darkly. If you snub your nose at any anything but scripture as not worthwhile learning then you are not learning scripture. Scripture requires a knowledge of history to understand it, it requires a knowledge of language to understand their words, it requires learning in many fields because all fields have a base in scripture.

It is so simple that a child can know scripture's base but to grow takes knowledge.

I agree that this knowledge required does not include how others saw scripture darkly.
