If you care about him as person that Jesus died for then pray for him. I hear he is not an atheist. Google "what is Bill Gates faith" and you get this..

Of course he might be turned off to your or my church because people are mean and make up conspiracy theories about him and he is looking for something more "like Jesus" in people who profess Christianity before he commits.
He will probably not hear the message about what it means to publicly confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour from the lips of the same person who spreads conspiracy theories about him.

I am flattered. It is nice to have fans. This must be what it feels like to be an "Influencer".
In all seriousness, when I started this thread I was hoping that the vaccine would be safe and successful and that it would be made available in my state before I contracted the illness and had to just suffer through it. I wanted the easier path to anitbodies. I wanted it for other people too and I want thousands of older people to live and not die simply because a vaccine is not available.
That is still my prayer, and I believe God has heard it and we will have more than one type of vaccine available soon. (Soon being within 6 more months).
In addition to praying for a vaccine, I have been learning how to navigate through the onslaught of social media driven conspiracy theories and then the discovery of how many of my church friends are leaning on the side of the conspiracy theories that I find ridiculous nonsense.
I have gone from wanting to give them information to get them to see that they are ruining their testimony and credibility from ever being able to evangelize the Gospel message to the same people they are evangelizing with their strange theories, and get them to recognize that this is a severe consequence.
And then I have decided I would not bother trying to explain anything to them, because they are "idiots" and not capable of common sense, which is why they are evangelizing made up lies in the first place.
Not a very loving attitude in my heart I confess and that I have had to repent of.
I can ignore responding to wild theories that make no sense and are technically impossible, and just not say anything to the person spouting it. It is hard for me to not say something, but I am learning to let it go... However,
The division between brothers and sisters that is being birthed because of these theories is the real problem and I know that this needs to be addressed and combated as soon as it begins to raise it's ugly head in our churches. We must not let it run a muck unchecked or unchallenged. This requires wisdom on our part as to how we let our brothers and sisters know that we all have the right to our own opinions and theories but God has called us to peace in the body of Christ and we should be focused on an agreed vision of Jesus Christ and the mission of God that He has given us to work together toward, and to remember that the servant of the Lord must not strive. That Mission of God is to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. If I want a vaccine and you don't we can still agree to disagree and stop talking about it to each other before we get to the point that we have determined one of us in on the wrong team.

Of course I know that there are instances of corruption. Probably the biggest conspiracies I can think of which were proven to be true were product price fixing where several companies have been caught through the years. Those kinds of things happen. There was Watergate but it was a relatively small group and we all see how it was exposed and handled. These kinds of things are not the same as the theory that Bill Gates is the Antichrist, half android, or possibly Borg, who is planning to inject you with a tracking device with the Covid Vaccine. And everyone involved in the vaccine is in cahoots. Now, you would think that I would be accused of using a ridiculous example that no one believes to make my point, but just watch how many people believe the theory I just stated. Even the half android part (left over from the Mac/Windows wars)

Robert Carnahan, associate professor at Vanderbilt University and associate director of the Vanderbilt Vaccine Center, explained that while “RNA vaccines represent a new innovation, they are based on longstanding foundational scientific principles.” RNA serves as the recipe or blueprint that instructs cells to make a particular protein. After it has served its purpose, “cells in the body have innate mechanisms of degrading this RNA and not allowing it to persist,” he said. Therefore, any RNA injected from a vaccine can't persist long enough to cause autoimmune disorders, which are chronic diseases. A 2017 study published by Science Advances estimated that RNA used as protein blueprints (messenger RNA or mRNA) generally lasted for a mere two minutes in yeast cells[1]. Another study in mice found that mRNA decayed after about three days post-injection[2].
Carnahan also pointed out that RNA is chemically different from DNA, making it virtually impossible for RNA to directly integrate into DNA to change a person’s genome.
While concerns over the safety profile of the potential vaccines are natural, given the accelerated vaccine development timeline imposed by the urgency of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sanjay Mishra, a staff scientist and project coordinator at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, explained that RNA vaccines are considered to be extremely safe based on past research[3,4]. “Safety studies have concluded that there is little concern for integration of DNA into genomes. mRNA vaccines are even safer and advantageous because RNA itself cannot integrate into genomic DNA without the presence of a retrovirus element, such as reverse transcriptase and integrase,” he said.
In fact, we can recognize that the fear of foreign DNA or RNA integrating into and changing our own genome is unfounded, when we remember that we come into daily contact with a large amount of DNA and RNA in the environment that is not our own.
