The following is from an excerpt from Questions.com, which is in agreement with what I have understood from the word of God regarding God as being the One who is the One doing the saving. And that based solely on His Sovereign will and not by anything we have done or could do.
Ephesians 1:5 tells us that God “predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.” According to this verse, the basis of our being predestined is not something that we do or will do, but is based solely on the will of God for His own pleasure. As Romans 9:15-16 says, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.” Similarly, Romans 9:11 declares regarding Jacob and Esau, “Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls.” Then again in Ephesians 1:11 we see that people are “chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.” From these and many other passages, we see that Scripture consistently teaches that predestination or election is not based upon something that we do or will do. God predestined people based on His own sovereign will to redeem for Himself people from every tribe, tongue, and nation. God predetermined or predestined this from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) based solely on His sovereign will and not because of anything that He knew the people would do.
Romans 10:9-10
that site is actually Calvinist in their leanings, so, duh
Wow, I read that snide post to me from @lenna but could have SWORE it said @EleventhHour
Meh, falsely accused of lying yet again? Seems so familiar and it is baseless as per usual.
It's odd she jumped in here and right onto that same bandwagon like immediately...and has also gone after you @jackrosie, while certain others never get a rebuke?![]()
You never had a single thing to say quite a few posts back now, when I pointed out the fact that some of your so called leading Calvinists do not even use scripture to support their conclusions. You just glossed over it because it has to make you feel uncomfortable since you cannot respond without drawing attention to the fact Calvinism is not actually all that Bible based and sola scripture etc.
Here. Let me refresh your memory and show you how an actual debate works in the process. An actual debate does not consist of LOL and hahaha and your false and trite preacherisms and appealing to an audience rather than actually engaging in a response to the post made that apparently, you would prefer does not exist.
And I have lots more that you can ignore as well.
How do Calvinists explain this? By ignoring it and loling
However, Calvinists teach that God specifically created some for eternal damnation. That might be the major stumbling point of Calvinism. James White, a well known Calvinist expositor and author, explains this view and calls it 'Unconditional Election a Necessity'. BUT he supplies this view NOT from scripture, but from the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. HUH?
He also quotes from a number of leading Calvinists, such as James P. Boyce. Again, not a biblical source.
The view expressed is that God deliberately creates human beings to join the devil and his angels in the lake of fire. Scripture states no such thing and in fact God declares the lake of fire was NOT created for humans, but sadly those who reject Him will find themselves in that place.
To really illustrate the delusion that God has taken delight in creating 'human logs' as it were, Boyce states that God choose to save only a few BECAUSE it pleases Him to do this.
BUT God says in His word that He takes NO DELIGHT IN THE WICKED PERISHING!
"Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked," declares the Lord GOD, "rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?
Ezekiel 18:23
Study Calvinism before deciding this is the view you choose. You are the one choosing. And make no mistake. YOU are choosing.

When taking all of the other scriptures into account, the promise that "if you confess with your mouth, etc." must then be speaking to those whose names that were written in the book of life before the world began, who were predestined.
Before the world began, God had all of the names throughout all of history of whom He chose and had them written in His book of life. When any of these people hear the word of God, the Spirit confirms the truth and God draws them to His Son and they respond in faith.
Those whose names were not written in the book of life before the world began, when they hear they will not come because God is not going to draw them to His Son.
"For God so loved the world (those whom He predestined) that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
My point is that, we should not be assigning ourselves to Calvinism or any other group. Our credo should be "this is what the word of God says," not what Calvin or anyone else says.
An actual debate does not consist of LOL and hahaha
We do debate CC-style.

Hopefully, with mustard. I love bologna sandwiches. Fried sometimes too.And He died for everybody. Ignorant man is going to eat his bologna sandwich now.
==============================================Jesus' blood is sufficient to cover everybody. O, that all men might come and partake freely of the water of life.
