Zechariah 14:1-12 below shows the Lords return to earth in fire in final judgement.

(Verse 1) shows "The Day Of The Lord" also seen in 2 Peter 3:10-13 "Fire Judgement" below

(Verse 2) Shows that all nations are gathered for the final battle of armageddon.

(Verses 3-5) shows the Lords return, and his eternal feet touch down on the earthly Mt, of Olives, and in the "Twinkling Of An Eye" 1 Cor 15:52 takes place, in the catching up, resurrection, final judgement by fire, and the New Heavens, Earth, and Jerusalem being revealed for eternity, judgement complete, eternity begins.

(Verses 6-7) Eternal light seen, in the eternal kingdom, Rev 22:1-5

(Verse 8) The river of life is seen, Rev 22:1-5

(Verse 10) The New creation is being revealed, the plain is lifted up.

(Verse 12) "The Day Of The Lord" showing the "Last Day" judgement by the Lords fire, as men are consumed as they stand on their feet, 2 Peter 3:10-13

Zechariah 14:1-12KJV
14 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 but it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lordshall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

2 Peter 3:10-13KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 22:1-5KJV
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner offruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

1 Corinthians 15:52KJV
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The resurrection happens.

The wrath of God is poured upon the heathen.

Jesus comes back with all the saints, and defeats the world, and saves Israel.

Jesus rules the earth for 1000 years fulfilling the role of perfect King on earth, and ruling over the heathen that God spared, and the law is fulfilled, and heaven and earth pass away.

Which the heavens shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth shall be burned up.

And the former heaven and earth shall not be remembered, nor come to mind for it is associated with sin and rebellion.

And the saints shall go to the new heaven, and earth, the New Jerusalem, where sin has never been, and sin will never be, and the saints and angels will feel like they have always been there, and nowhere else.

The earth cannot be redone for all sin is purged with fire, which the saints receive the Spirit and with fire, which purges their sins.

The Bible says the wicked shall go in to the lower parts of the earth, which hell is in the lower parts of the earth, and death and hell are thrown in the lake of fire, so the whole earth will be thrown in the lake of fire.

Caution about false prophecy and adding to God's word. The Kingdom is spiritual which makes all physical kingdom prophecies symbolic. You cannot understand prophecy without understanding this. For instance, Armageddon is not literal, it's the end time attack by Gog and Magog on the church from around the world.

Dave I strongly disagree with your "Preterist" views.

There will be a future (human man) who will proclaim to be Messiah God in Jerusalem, known as the Man of Sin/The Beast/The Little Horn

There will be literal prophets returned as "Two Witnesses" who will bring plagues upon this world, a remake of Moses/Aaron against Pharaoh.

There will be a literal second coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds of heaven, immediately after a 3.5 year tribulation, at this time the resurrection of all takes place as this earth is dissolved by the Lords fire in final judgement.

At this final judgement by fire, the New Heavens, Earth, and Jerusalem are revealed for "Eternity"

The problem with most people who conflate the DOTL with ONE DAY is they don't do a deep enough analysis which would show them what the DOTL actually is. For instance, Zechariah 14:3-12 is about Jesus Second Coming, but verses 1-2 is Jerusalem getting Conquered by the Anti-Christ and his minions, its not the Second Coming.

The DOTL starts with the asteroid hitting the earth at the Midway Point of the 70th week, that is when the Anti-Christ does forth Conquering also. There is a 1000 year reign, THEN the earth is set ablaze as Peter describes because, IMHO, this earth winds up being hell, Satan gets his "Kingdom" all to himself, LOL. A burning earth of hellfire.

So, the DOTL, starts via God's Wrath, it is his DAY OF VENGEANCE, the vengeance lasts 3.5 years, then the DOTL continues with his 1000 year reign on earth. Thus, the Day of the Lord incorporates God taking back over his Authority on thus earth via Judgments THEN Jesus ruling, its all the DOTL.

So it all has to be incorporated. Sadly, all one has to do is LOOK at everything that happens on the DOTL and they would understand its not ONE DAY, but way too many people just don't do their due diligence. I can see this right off the bat.

Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

{{{{ The ABOVE is the Anti-Christ Conquering Jerusalem at the 1260 Event, in the middle of the week. Jerusalem is Conquered then, we know......I repeat WE KNOW via common sense Jerusalem is not Conquered on the LAST DAY because all throughout the bible we are told the Anti-Christ/Beast/Little Horn rules in Jerusalem for 42 months or 1260 days, so by using common sense, we know that CAN NOT be the Last Day, it just can not be. So this is happening in the middle of the Week, that is just factual. Jerusalem is ruled by the Beast 42 months, why would he Conquer Jerusalem, rule 42 months, then gather an Army to DEFEAT HIMSELF in Jerusalem on the LAST DAY? }}}}

{{ The BELOW is about Jesus' Second Comming, where he steps on the Mt. of Olives and it splits into, but the ABOVE can not be the same day !! It's just not logical !! Thus the DOTL starts in the middle of the week at the 1260, when an asteroid hits the earth. }}

What shall we say brother. You say that Zechariah 14:1-12 is the same as 2nd Peter 3 and the destruction of the earth. This would mean
  1. everything is burnt - but some can divide the spoil (v.1)
  2. everything is burnt - but the Lord gathers all nations to Jerusalem (v.2)
  3. everything is burnt - but the city still stands and is taken (v.2)
  4. everything is burnt - but women are ravished (v.2)
  5. everything is burnt - but Jesus will stand on Mount Olives (v.4)
  6. everything is burnt - but valleys still exist (v.5)
  7. everything is burnt - but living waters will go out of a destroyed and burnt Jerusalem to burnt seas (v.8)
  8. .... and so on.
Verse 9 says that the Lord will be the King of the earth, but according to your plan the earth is burnt up.

This is why few answer. You create multiple absurdities.

Amen brother, labels and definitions abound around all "Day of the Lord" prophecies. There are many to choose from in the OT. If everything "must" be completely burnt up, why do they [OT prophecies] go on into a description of a physical restoration?

By all means post your claims of Restoration?

Until then, it appears that it's gonna be fire time as seen below

Isaiah 24:19-20KJV
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Psalms 46:6KJV
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Psalms 97:5KJV
The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord
, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

All men are burned, All that dwell in the world, no human survives the Lord's indignation and anger.

Psalms 75:3KJV
3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

Nahum 1:5-6KJV
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

The False Teaching That Zechariah 14 Represents A Millennial Kingdom On This Earth Has Disappeared.

You don't want to see "The Day Of The Lord" coming in Zechariah 14:1 & 2 Peter 3:10-13

You don't want to see Eternal Light In Zechariah 14:6-7

You don't want to see the river if life in Zechariah 14:8

You don't want to see the New Creation being revealed in Zechariah 14:10

You don't want to see the Last Day judgement in the Lord's fire in Zechariah 14:12, the very same "Day of The Lord" as seen in 2 Peter 3:10-13

You Are Looking At The New Heaven, Earth, And Jerusalem :)

You were given a list of verses that say that the earth is forever. You bring a set of verses that seem to say that the earth is annihilated. All you have done is ruin the Bible's reputation by pitting verse against verse. Rather, you should how and why there is this seeming anomaly. The answer is, of course, that the WORKS that were perpetrated in heaven (Satan's rebellion) and the WORKS that have polutted the earth over 7,000 years (Satan and men), will be burned up and forgotten. It is the "GARMENT of the earth" that is burned up. A "Garment" in parable means works (e.g. Rev.19:8). Just as water washed away all memory of evil in Genesis 1:2 and in Noah's time, so this time the earth is "washed", or purged by FIRE. But the physical earth remains. Read your verse carefully. 2nd Peter 3:10.

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

See also Psalm 102:26 and Hebrews 1:11
26 "They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed"
11 "They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment"

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-8KJV
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God
, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Peter 3:10-13KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Your claim that the (Garment Of The Earth) is burnt, but the earth is left is a big (Fairy Tale)

The Heavens And Earth Will Be "ELEMENTS DISSOLVED"

As 2 Peter 3:13 below clearly states, the believer is to look for the "Promise" of the New Creation, in the New Heavens And Earth, As Seen In Revelation 21:1-5 below (y)

Revelation 21:1-5KJV
21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

You are correct. I don't see the things you see. Let us examine the first six verses together to see what is to be seen. Zechariah 14:1-6;

1 "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:"

Verse 1. You see "everything burnt up". I see "spoil" being divided. Why do soldiers get spoil if it is to be burned up?
Verse 2. You see "everything burnt up". I see the Lord gathering the nations to battle. How are the nations there if they are burnt up?
Verse 2. You see "everything burnt up". I see Jerusalem being "taken", its houses and women ravished. How - if it is burnt up?
Verse 3 You see "everything burnt up". I see the Lord going out to fight the nations. Why - if they are burnt up?
Verse 4. You see the earth burnt up. I see the Lord standing on Mount Olives
Verse 4. You see all burnt. I see a geological rift and mountains moving
Verse 5. You see men burnt up. I see Jerusalemites fleeing
Verse 5. You see no earth. I see the Lord and His saints and touching down on earth as Enoch and Jeremiah predicted
Verse 6. You see heaven all burnt up. I see that there is "day" and "light"
You see all burnt up, I see all evidence of the same earth - just a change of government as Daniel predicted. Mount Olives is not in New Jerusalem. I see the Lord SAVING Jerusalem, not burning it up. I see the nations going up to Jerusalem year-by-year, in verse 16. I see, in verse 10, landmarks of the original Jerusalem. And is see DEATH, DEATH, DEATH everywhere in this Chapter. But on the New Earth there is NO DEATH. How could they be the same place?

Your claims are false, and a misrepresentation of my post.

I have "Clearly" explained the verses of Zechariah 14:1-12

I explain in Zechariah 14:12 that men are burned up, and yes this is the exact same event of 2 Peter 3:10-13 when the earth is (DISSOlVED) by the Lord's fire in final judgement.
