MendedSoul is a nice name. Care to explain the significance to you? Or Stratton. I'm usually pretty curious into the reason why people picked their names.

Sure. Stratton is my middle name and MendedSoul is well, after becoming saved in Christ, my soul was mended! (from a dark and lost path that was doomed to destruction).

Sure. Stratton is my middle name...
Stratton (Cornish: Strasnedh) is a small town, parish and former manor situated near the coastal town of Bude in north Cornwall, England. It was also the name of one of ten ancient administrative Hundreds of Cornwall. The Battle of Stratton during the Civil War took place there on May 16, 1643.

There is a movie by that name, also :D ~ A British Special Boat Service operative (named John Stratton) is tasked with infiltrating an Iranian facility that contains biochemical weapons. Later, Stratton pursues a former Soviet spy who is planning a terrorist attack in London.

Pretty interesting in that my last name is Scottish Irish too given those geographical facts. Am from the US though. First name is a New Testament biblical name 😉

Yeah sometimes names can develop independently within language branches. It's pretty neat.

Jesus is an interesting one to study for that reason. It is different in the original Hebrew, but how it's different in different languages is interesting. It requires somewhat beneath the surface study of linguistics and lingual development.

Both my middle name and my first name are like that. My first name coming from Germany (which consequently went to English and then the U.S with variants in Spanish at least) and my middle name comes from scripture. My last name is the only thing that hasn't really changed at all except pronunciation.

That’s really interesting- thanks for sharing Mii. Yeah I wouldn’t mind doing a study on all the variants of the name of Jesus. Might learn a thing or two, heheheh.
