I don't think I am special in myself; but I am very special to God. I think, figuratively speaking, God took a lump and clay and ordained the characteristics I would have and God chose to give me characteristics that you chooses to love and reward by placing my in His son.

Now, you think you are special to God because of WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. Your self-determined FAITH has saved you and now you are to be rewarded for what you did in cooperation with God.

Summary: I am in no way special in and of myself IMO. You are special because of your act of righteousness, your faith. We are both special. Our reasons for why we are special vary. I am 100% God and you are 99.99% God and .01% your self righteousness.

How exactly does someone "will" belief.... belief has no connection to the will.

We were dead.

He brought us to himself, note 2 Corinthians 5:18 and that it says explicitly it is all of God, it was his gift, it was not God "helping" us, as we were helpless.
