Critical Race Theory has its roots in law, rules and theory of evidence.
Followed the link and watched 3 mins of Cone's talk and already he's lying. He said Trayvon Martin was killed by a white man, that's untrue. Then he continues saying Micheal Brown was shot by a white cop while he was walking down the street, also a lie. Brown reached for the cops gun while attacking him in his police car. He continues saying "we must keep these images and lynching images in our minds"? Why? Because people like him and the "Rev" Jackson make money off of this grievance industry they have created. It's a myth. Black people are free in this country to do whatever they want to do. Will they face racism from some people? Yes. But that didn't stop a black man from becoming president and countless others who are in gov't office or are successful in life. Want to see a great discussion, check out civil rights attorney Leo Terrell on Mark Levin last night. I dont always agree with his POV but he was dead on.

The problem with Critical Race Theory among many is that does not rest on objective facts but rather storytelling which winds up the masses.

In my mind this is why it is imperative that those who oppose this theory stick to the facts and not be caught up in their drama.

I don't know about that, but this country is pretty ripe. I certainly agree that things are moving to a culmination. It's almost like the planet is holding it's breath. It's not about color and it's not about racism. Look deeper (I think you are)
Yes, it is deeper, spiritual wickedness in high places, working through men in hate, destruction, oppression, lies, rioting &c. Ephesians 6:12.

God warned Israel that he would spread them throughout the nations and punish them. Jeremiah 9:16, Deuteronomy 4:27; 28:64; Ezekiel 22:15 &c.

Psalm 64 is an interesting read on this, how these wicked people go around seeking where "injustices" may have been done. Interesting indeed.

So it's wrong of black people to want to be treated fairly and equally, with respect and not disdain, hate and prejudice? Or to not be killed just because of the color of their skin?
It's not wrong for any protesters to protest in a legal manner.

It is wrong to use violence, destruction, and terrorism (promoting others to fear). It is wrong to destroy public and private property because you feel you have been wronged. It is wrong for the justice system to favor one race over another in the administration of sentences. It is wrong for corporations to hire a member of any race over another candidate with better credentials (affirmative action). It is wrong to ignore the facts, which prove that white-on-black violence is much less than black-on-black violence. It is wrong for folks to fail to take responsibility for raising their children properly and to blame others for the results. It is wrong to claim that I am guilty for the sins of my forebearers.

It is wrong to advocate for reduction of policing, and it is pretty obvious that if I am a criminal I would love that situation.

Dunno. But it sure seems like white people like to think that black people shouldn't have any rights, or that they shouldn't be in the human populace.

Blacks have been oppressed for CENTURIES and treated like nothing more than poop on the ground. All because they are seen as inferior to whites, and other such rubbish.

Black, white, red, yellow or purple.. We are all the same. We all come from one race: the human race. But lately humans are acting more like animals..
All humans are made in the image of God and deserve to be treated with love and respect.

Try telling Black Lives Matter people that. You might end up getting beaten.

And, go read their website before you criticize others for their position on this dangerous group.

I just saw a video where one of the leaders from BLM saying in 2015 her words "we are trained MARXIST".
Yeah...one thing you can't fault them for..they are honest about their intentions and history. It's the gullible Christians who don't pay attention to their clear statements.

She’s making several baseless claims. The wokeity-woke-wokes don’t want stats. They just get in their agenda’s way. I’m waiting on her stats to back up her unfounded claims.
From this past weekend...

But black lives matter, right? Even when they are killing each other. Right?
This is true by the way. Amongst those who are involved with these types of movements, they hate the facts. They want a narrative, and not objective facts. Postmodernism is part of why this movement is flourishing.

there's no way Jesus was a white man seeing as how he came from the middle East so portraying him as a white man is a symbol of white supremacy
Ignorance doesn't translate to white supremacy.

Additionally, art isn't meant to be precisely accurate..artists can have other motives such as relating to their audience.

By the way, we don't know exactly what shade Christ was. There are Israelites of various shades.

Additionally, I think the motives of groups like BLM are to destroy Christianity in general, not inaccurate art of Jesus. Why do they care about Christianity? BLM is an anti-Christian organization.

Art is the interpretation of the artist. Someone can paint Christ as a unicorn, doesn't mean it's based in any fact. BLM is totally anti-Christian. No one should back them. I agree.

I would like to say this. While black lives matters as an organization is not the solution. There is a real problem which does need solved. Adam and Eve show that it is not as simple as just saying the past does not matter. We do inherit problems from previous generations which we do have a responsibility to do our part to fix. It is not enough to say that it was Adam and Eve and not me. I do think it is not paranoia on the part of black people to think that if the root has not been fully dealt with , then just under the surface is the potential for history to repeat.

The Bible teaches that at least sometimes , a current generation has a responsibility to fix some wrong that was done in a previous generation.

2Sa 21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

Take as an example , public school funding. Having schools funded by local property taxes ensures inequality in educational opportunity. Look up the stats. Some public schools get triple the funding of public schools in poorer neighborhoods. A good place to start would be for all public schools to get equal resources and support. Through indirect means such as segregation into poorer neighborhoods , there is a systemic inequality. In some cases , students in lower funded schools have to share an outdated textbook while those in an upscale school have a computer at every desk. I am not speaking of personal extras , I am speaking of public schools funded by tax dollars. The poorer schools cannot attract the better quality teachers and the difference in quality of education is stark.

This is systemic inequality and by extension it impacts those in certain people groups in a disproportionate manner. Multiply this by a dozen issues and you have some legitimate grievances. I favor justice for all and that justice for all does include some major changes.

According to the Declaration of Independence , there are certain rights given by the creator. A Government by the people and for the people has a responsibility to protect these rights. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness are three examples of these rights. Are all American's rights receiving equal protection ? My opinion is that there is room for improvement. Equal access to an equal education is a good place to begin.
It's my understanding that some schools receive adequate funding but they spend a disproportionate amount on athletic programs rather than academics. I would love to see the demographics of those areas.

Also BLM are tearing down and defacing monuments erected to the honor of black folks and white folks who fought and died and famous abolitionists .. Not to mention the total non related like Teddy Roosevelt ..
A lot of the protesters are ignoramuses when it comes to history, and they are destroying or defacing statues that have nothing to do with colonialism.

I pesonally think the perpetrators should go to prison and be forced to pay back every red cent for a new monument at hard labor. It isn't their property to destroy.

If God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, was a black man while He walked the face of the Earth, I literally couldn’t care one speck of an atom on a dust mite!

We are all One Body in Him. This “race” garbage is completely of the devil, and to attempt to make one part His Body, be divided against another.

PennEd: I was responding to Post # 269 to "Dude653" with reference to Jesus' color. I am not in disagreement with you, my question to Dude653 was "what difference does color make JESUS DIES FOR ALL OF US"

Inprecatory Psalms of David are deep and to the point. Yes, this is spiritual wickedness.

That is somewhat correct. Jesus was Jewish and that is important. God chose the Jewish race to bring the Gospel to the world. While they did not obey, God is not done with the Jewish people yet. He wasn't black, he was an olive skinned Jew. Like I say, white Jesus ought to be more offensive to Jews than blacks.
