And believing the gospel is not the only requirement to enter the holy city. (See Philippians 1:29).
Phil 1:29 - (AMPC) For you have been granted [the privilege] for Christ’s sake not only to believe in (adhere to, rely on, and trust in) Him, but also to suffer in His behalf. Nothing there about suffering "in addition to believing the gospel" as being the cause of salvation. You could never suffer enough to make up for your sins and earn your salvation.

*Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 1 Corinthians 1:21 - For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

I'm sorry, but it's hard for me to take anything you have to say seriously.
Sin no more is a hard saying.

I am not surprised at the reactions my posts have gotten.

Believe me, I pray a lot about this; asking the Lord if I am in error by proclaiming boldly the doctrine in the Bible clearly teaching a way to not sin. I do not write these things without a conviction of the Spirit confirmed by the word.

It’s not a good feeling to be an enemy of the masses, but I have learned through the Spirit to not allow my fleshly feelings to get in the way of the truth of the Bible.

John 6:59-60
[59] These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. [60] Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

Is telling someone they can stop sinning a hard saying, you bet it is!

The word of God is hard hitting; especially in the Authorized Version!

Thanks, I did not agree with his assessment of the KJV, but I haven’t studied the matter deep enough to respond to him.
You are welcome. Take some time to study the matter out for yourself before engaging fully. When anyone says something, as that person has, or makes a quotation, go to the source material, check the context, study up on the history of it, etc and then consider your conclusion and whether it aligns with God's methods.

Salvation is a free gift.

After getting saved, ceasing from sin produces suffering in the flesh (1 Peter 4:1).

But many are not willing to cease from sin because of the suffering it produces in the flesh.

This nation is mad on prescription drugs. They seem to want to avoid suffering in any way possible.

Your Savior suffered, is it much to ask that you do the same as a faithful follower?

The faithful follower is the one who will never perish; yet many claim that scripture without truly suffering for their Savior.

The hard saying here is found in John 6:53-58 and did not pertain to sinless perfection, but to eating His flesh and drinking His blood, which was misunderstood by these so called disciples who Jesus knew from the beginning did not believe. (vs. 64)

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

John 6:59-60 has to do with eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Christ.

50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”

Ripping Scripture out of context to try to prove your point is generally frowned upon.
Out of your context, let’s be clear on that.

Using the Bible alone for context, along with exercising the love of God, would bring unity to the body of Christ.

I’m not willing to accept the twisting of scripture that is required to accept OSAS.

The understanding of the truth of

OSAS comes from the Holy Spirit and scripture confirms it.

How can the Holy Spirit lead you into Truth when you refuse to lay down your self righteousness and search the scripture with Him leading?

It’s not a free gift for those who subscribe to salvation through sinless perfection.
So true....makes one wonder what exactly they have trusted in Jesus for.... the ability to earn salvation?

Do you ever notice how conditional security however it is presented reads like Catholicisim?

Lay down this righteousness?

Romans 6:16
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

I‘m pursuing the obedience unto righteousness part, not the sin unto death part.

You should consider where in this verse your theology is leading you.

I don’t pursue the righteousness of the law for salvation. I already got my sins taken away when I believed. Now I walk in the Spirit to establish the law (Romans 3:31).

Romans 3:31
[31] Do we then make the law void through faith? In no way! Indeed, we establish the law.

I wrote self-righteousness btw...

Do you understand that we have the imputed righteousness of Christ Jesus?

I actually said nothing of the kind. You put on your "hate Dottie" glasses and see all kinds of points not there. Take them off. The world is a much better place not wearing those glasses.
I don't hate Dottie. I hate Dottie's false teaching and doctrine. I will continue to speak against it. You glorify yourself and disparage others on here. Read your own posts.

It doesn’t make sense likely because in America so few look into historical matters but believe popular speakers whose talk pleases them, I guess. There’s a reason why so many cults come from America.

I am not a KJV only but I do know which powerful verses modern translations leave out. They concern the deity or character of christ or powerful tools to help. That cannot be a coincidence.

Oh yes, now your "dislike and disparaging of America" comes out on this site just like it did on the other defunct one. I was just waiting to see when you would bring up America again.

'. . .

YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BACK THAT UP WITH 1 John 1:9; or all you have done is create a modern PHARISEE-ISM,
Which is DRAG THE LAW DOWN TO SOMETHING YOU CAN KEEP, AND DECLARE YOURSELF AS BEING HOLY.
