Er... Quarex is a character in a video game.

Wasteland 2 is a post-apocalyptic RPG. Quarex is a minor character who runs an arcade in the wasteland, specifically in a town that used to be a train yard. (No idea what he does for electricity...) He has every console ever made, except for one - and he will pay you if you find it for him.
Which console is he missing?

Cool! I'm going to tackle Fatal Frame 3 tonight and possibly RE0. I got bible reading to do first
What game are you best at?

I'm getting pretty good at Team Fortress 2. Every once in awhile I get booted off the server for cheating, but that is a compliment, since I don't cheat.

I'm not really all that good at any game lol I just enjoy it. If I had to pic one I'm pretty decent at King of Fighters. No expert though lol

That's like Mortal Combat right? What character do you choose normally? What is their special skill?

I used to play my friend in High School Mortal Combat the night before we go surfing. It was his system, but I would beat him more than 50% of the time with just kicking and punching. He would get so mad and slug me in the arm all the time. haha. I would use Sub-Zero (think that was his name) and some how hit the buttons to freeze him.

He's missing a CD-I machine.

Wasteland 2 takes place in Arizona, in a (relatively) radiation free zone. As the player's team treks across the desert, occasionally the radio offers up chatter between different squads, random people talking to each other and sometimes a commercial for "Red Hen Bar's snake squeezins. They're mighty, mighty pleasin."

One of the commercials is "Hi everybody, this is Quarex from the Quarex Arcade. Come play my games! I've got 'em all: Donkey Punch, Whack A Plumber, Gagula, Lose Your Marbles, Face Invaders... And every kind of system too. Except a CD-I machine. I really..."

"And time's up."

"But I paid for fifteen seconds. You said I could have fifteen seconds on the air."

"And that was fifteen. Next!"

My friend has a 3do but no cdI. Philip's didnt make alot of those and most the games were trash even if Nintendo was technically involved.

Yup sub zero. His shadow form Noob Saibot is actually the creators names backwards. (Ed Boon and John Tobais) I know a bit of Kombat history and factoids even if I'm not really a fan anymore.

As for Characters I usually have King and Mary on a team. Third player is I tend to pick at a whim. King of Fighter games are notoriously hard so I've never beat one lol. Theres even a name for super hard boss battles its called (King of Fighters Syndrome) As modern game journalists would say they are the "Dark Souls" of fighting games lol

Hmmm. Ever try a gaming guide to beat the game?

So, Wasteland 2 is a game you like playing?

I did, until it started (liberally, and liberally) making fun of Christianity. But that wasn't until more than halfway through the game. I had time to get thoroughly good at it and have a lot of time invested in the story. >.>

Yeah, I use em for Jrpgs but for fighting games they usually come down to pure skill.

I liked Mike Tyson's Punch on NES, found the code to box Mike Tyson. One punch from Tyson and you hit the floor.

You got any game to recommend for Lynx? Looks like he likes the roll playing games also.

That's to bad. Did you get into World of Warcraft? That seems like that same type of game.

Nah. I play games for a good story, kind of like reading a book that you can interact with. World of Warcraft is more in for grinding, getting really strong and socializing with friends.

My best friend plays it though, and loves it. Specifically he likes the social aspect of it.

I thought the best story from a video game was The Last of Us. Heard they just released part 2.

Played the game for about an hour, then just watched it as a movie on you tube. Really good story, you might like it.

I think one of my favorite Jrpgs was Skies of Arcadia. Unfortunately it's only available for the dreamcast and gamecube. I got the gamecube version. It can go for over 100 now due to its rarity. Most people wont want to spend that on an old game (I managed to snag it for around 70 about 7 years ago) I'm also a huge Zelda fan although they are technically rpgs as well I've never really associated them with the genre. I'd say they are there own thing. A sub genre

I played some of the first one. It wasn't my cup of tea. I hear the second one is major liberal sjw overload. They were touting how progressive they are that the main character is a lesbian. 🙄 alot of people arnt to happy since they kicked out the guy who made the last game fun and the producer put himself in the game as he apparently has a swelled ego.

It seems there is a hidden political agenda in all secular media now, just no stopping it.

Did you like the story of the The Last of Us? Thought it had entertainment value for sure.

You ever try playing Journey on Playstation? That is a keeper, probably the only 2nd/3rd person shooter I liked. Could play that game once a year.

Yes it does. Thankfully there are Christian's working in the industry now. I'm In a Christian game designer group and a few have published titles on consoles. I think Christian's need a stronger in games tbh. Yeah the story of the first Last of us seemed compelling and very cinematic in quality even if the second is propaganda heavy

That's great. Glad you are doing something you enjoy. What title do you think is your best project so far?
