The key to fulfilling our half of this verse, the command half, is found in ~always~ chasing after Him, ~never~ after the things that we think we want from Him.

p.s. - one last thing, the Lord, who loves you so, always knows and wants the very best for you, and we trust that He does, knowing that He sees what we cannot (our future). These are some of the reasons that we choose to surrender even our most heart-felt desires to Him and wait patiently for Him to deliver not only the perfect blessing to us, but in His perfect timing for us as well

4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

I know its hard.
I am in the same boat.
Don't be in a rush, you could end up grieving over your mistake.
Let the kingdom work comes first.
You cant do that if the other person is pulling you cross purposes.
If you intend to obey God in how he calls you to follow a man and not compromise that testimony you don't want to make a bad choice or it will be even harder to do it Gods way and be blessed in doing so.
I recently ended a relationship with a beautiful and kind and caring woman because the spirit was saying we are not on the same foundation. Some people just don't accept the operation of the Spirit of God in the life of a believer and some just don't have faith in got to do things his way.
Sad that it took me so long to understand that I should have just left, rather then try to bring about unity.
So I had to learn the hard way.
i know the bible says a marriage will distract you from God.
You will be wanting to please your husband or wife.
I have this hope in me that i might find someone who is most pleased in me pleasing God.
Because that is what would pleases me most a woman who wants to please God, put her faith in him and obey him in everything wholeheartedly.

On an odd side note, whenever i hear the word "Deuteronomy"
I start hearing the song "Do the Hustle" and replace the word with "Deuteronomy" and it makes me smile.
