Well you have a choice grace or law?

Under grace (secure salvation) sin will have no dominion over you, under the law you are fighting a losing battle.
For sin having “no dominion,” there’s a lot of wrong (sinful) choices being made. Must be difficult to write that one (glorious) state exists when the reality is different.

Why did Jesus take all of mankind’s sin?
He took away their past sins.

Not the sins committed wilfully after gaining knowledge of the truth through the gospel.

This is what God thinks of those people who sin presumptuously:

Numbers 15:30-31
[30] But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. [31] Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

I stand amazed at anyone who can believe such a doctrine of OSAS. That is what devalues; not only Jesus, but the whole of scripture!

Micah 6:12-13
[12] ...and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. [13] Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

Hear what the LORD says!
Taking a couple of verses from the OT and applying them to the Body of Christ is absolutely wrong. A few verses later the meaning becomes clear...

You have observed the statutes of Omri
and all the practices of Ahab’s house
;
you have followed their traditions.
Therefore I will give you over to ruin
and your people to derision;
you will bear the scorn of the nations.

It is obvious that Micah was writing about Jews who have gone away from God to pagan beliefs. The passage has nothing to do with Christians.

What is it that you don't understand about "no dominion"? It means that, although Christians are susceptible to sin it will not control us.

This is such an ignorant statement that it warrants no response.

The scripture writers themselves quote the OT and apply them to Christians frequently.

I don't need a break... I am perfectly fine.
We are to draw near to the throne of grace.

Hebrews 4:15-16 New International Version (NIV)
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

I hope everyone realizes this wonderful passage does NOT say 'there is no more condemnation for those who never sin'
.... it says something far, far greater. Foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us, the power of God!

;)

You left out the following (bolded and underlined):

Romans 8:1
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hope you enjoyed your walk. I know you guys won’t see it but others read these posts and perhaps can see the blindness. OSAS just has to be right for you. You’ve hung your whole eternity on that theology.

Btw, My assurance comes from a living and vital relationship with my Father for which I take full responsibility for doing my part.
Is that why you sin so often? I have not hung eternity on theology, but on the Person and promises of Jesus Christ.

This is faulty thinking and not even once alluded to in scripture.
How is it faulty?
It is an impeccably true statement.

And have you not read, all the Father gives to Him will come to Him, and He will never cast them out? Do you think the Father only gave people who were alive in the 1st century?

I was not biting your head off LOL ..... if it had been framed as "how do we resist temptation" I would have recognized it more as a question.

Anyway sorry for the misunderstanding.
