The ONLY Teacher I trust is the Holy Spirit of God. I have no confidence in any rabbi, pastor, preacher, person, etc.

I enjoy listening to preaching and sermons but, the Holy Spirit has to bear witness to my spirit that what they are saying is true.

It is pleasing to God for each of us to search and study the scriptures with a heart and mind that diligently seeks and loves God’s Truth - and is a doer of His Word.

Yet, the ONLY Teacher of God’s Word is The Holy Spirit.(y)

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

I used to be like that but you will grow it's different to be doctrinal than charismatic charismatic can go on feeling feeling it is quite very dangerous as I have seen false prophecying , and people left astray by these such . I believe in the gift things in fact I operate in the giftings I had some very good mentors in life teach me those things the most of it came through my experience with the holy ghost . But it was up to me to fill my head with knowledge of the scriptures which open the doors to the rest then I should know the truth and nothing but the truth so God has helped me the true giftings of the holy ghost are wonderful did you know that when I used to fast and pray the holy ghost has to give me history lessons things I never learned before or ever sat in any classroom or any documentary I used to sit there and listen to God and then we search afterwards find out that all the information was 100% true not only that holy Spirit is showing me things for years and years to come tell me that's the power of God or not and he always announces himself it's not nothing else. I've Witness the power of healing done even through myself I have cast out devils and see when he cast out by others God gives the discernment of spirits thank you my no lying Spirit from a evil spirit have the different genre of spirits. so I do believe in the power of the holy ghost because I operate in it but knowledge must still be learned and this is the truth the word of God says even this... So I respect your way of thinking I was there to before...... I'm watching the different denominations of preachers it's just confusing once please a certain way one believes another way what relieves a different other way but it all that's what I learned about theology.. education helps a lot understand scripture and what the scriptures were actually saying ...

1 Corinthians 1:17-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
18 For the [a]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [b]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 New King James Version (NKJV)
26 For [a]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [b]noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the [c]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.
I see your attempt of ridiculing me through scriptures that's a bigger crime... my wisdom is not of this world but it is of god think carefully before you speak I'm not here to argue I'm here to edify and that's what the body should be doing to each other edifying one another not causing strife grief seditions things that separates us from one another call seditions divisions .. U see I'm here just to love you I'm here to tell you that Christ died for your sins in order for you to live a sinless life if possible but remember with God everything is possible nothing will be able to be perfect but yet everyday we strive to be more like-minded to Christ we could follow all the commandments of God but without the heart in God's spirit there is no salvation Jesus said that one thing if one is not born again he will not enter the kingdom of heaven born again is not just you confess the Lord out of your mouth it is that you believe in your heart and believe in your heart makes you want to do things it makes you change it makes you want to learn the ways of God and walk-in statutes and that my friend is faith he believed he confess and now you walk in that belief that's whole heartedness . When I leave you in your prayer closet I forgive you....

How do you not belong to your Savior?
=========================================================================================
it is written:
'But you are not in the flesh, but in The Spirit, if so be that The Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not The Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

Is the word charismatic biblical?

Can you explain what that word means?

The charismatic movement is the international trend of historically mainstream Christian congregations adopting beliefs and practices similar to Pentecostalism. Fundamental to the movement is the use of spiritual gifts (charismata). Among mainline Protestants, the movement began around 1960. From wiki :)

There was a woman here not too long ago who built a theology around the idea that we were actually angels at one time, and we fell, and were consigned to be human, and that was how God chose to redeem these fallen angels. But only certain ones that fell, who didn't commit certain sins, but still needed punishment

I DO NOT subscribe to it, but she had some interesting points. One of which is this whole idea of God "knowing" us before He formed us in the womb. It begs the question, what does "knowing" us mean before He formed us in the womb mean?

God is our Father if we are born again, so OF COURSE He knows us intimately. He indwells us! So I don't understand what the hub bub is about. Sack- cloth may have worded his post a little awkwardly but I certainly don't think he meant it in a sexual way as WE think of sex. Satan has terribly distorted our view of sex to make it dirty.

A great study is the ancient Jewish wedding ceremony. The whole community would surround the dwelling of the newlyweds while the marriage was consummated, and they became "one flesh".
Thank you! That wasn’t my intent at all. We have an intimate relationship with God. That was my point the whole time.

I agree with you 110% There are a lot of misguided teachers who try to interpret the Bible to mean what they want it to mean in advance. (Bold font, size 18, underlined)

I did not see that in @Sackcloth-N-Ashes post , I saw it that he meant the closeness of the relationship Adam and Eve had with God , and God with them , nothing sexual about it...
...xox...
Just like Adam knew Eve his wife and bore Cain....

Two questions...

a. How do you think the context of this verse is describing KNOW

b. Adam and Eve did not call the adoption agency to adopt Cain

Ok.....

Not being mean here, just being truthful; many on here seem to have really poor reading comprehension. :( That wasn’t what I meant at all, but they took it that way. That’s disgusting to say I thought believers had intercourse with God. Not hardly!
Now you twist what some of us have said like you and your other Calvinistic buddy do regularly.

Your comparison was simple enough and faulty

Just like Adam knew Eve his wife and bore Cain is clear enough....had YOU left off the Cain part, which was due to your poor communication and lack of a good comparison, all would have been well....but one thing I find with you Calvinists....never wrong and love to twist words!

We have an intimate relationship with God.
I knew what you were trying to communicate and was not offended (taking it as a sexual thing).

But I can understand the reaction of the offended.

Intimate carries the idea of a sexual nature.

It's probably best not to use the word intimate when describing the relationship between man and God.
