Tricky verses very tricky. Be careful.
Those verses are meant as a teaching against malicious spiteful maligning peevish hypocritical judgmental attitudes and acts that have no merit. Righteous judgments however are altogether in a different class.

And as we see few verses later....ouch! A call to righteous judgment and discernment!

Matt 7:6
“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

For the heretics Matt 7:1 is one of the most often twisted af all Scriptures.

We are..so why can’t I ask or challenge?...I wasn’t being rude...now whose being defensive?..I took a lot to heart on what was said to me on this thread...my feelings got in the way...are you with me?
It’s not about feelings..it’s about God’s truth.

Don’t do what I did eleventhhour.....feelings get in the way of God’s truth sometimes...in fact quite a lot with me lately....,I am not against you.....it’s not about our feelings it’s about God’s truth.

Surely we are all learning..not just me.

God is the God of truth. Truth is freedom.. I have learned this so well over the years.

“The truth of the LORD endures for ever!” (Psalm 117:2). “Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth” (Psalm 31:5). How can someone who does not like the truth, love the God of truth?

I’m perplexed as to why your post was given a red X. And yet I’m not surprised. That’s one heck of an oxymoron.

I gave it a disagree..because not all can see the truth...I’m sorry if it upsets....but my words and belief can’t be controlled like a robot.

And why aren’t you surprised...please enlighten me?

What is the big deal with these red Xs?.........you are gonna get a red x at times..accept it....I do.

Eleven did not say that everyone can see the truth. Her focus was loving the truth and the source of truth, then she shared supportive Scripture. I fail to see what there is to disagree with but I am open to your perspective.

My belief,works follow after salvation...not before..you can’t work for your salvation...if people believe that...then they are still in darkness.....or am I judging when I say that?....that they are in darkness.....or are they confused?

Don’t judge or you will be judged..that was the scripture I got for Mathew 7:1....now I’m completely lost...what has that scripture got to do with faith without works is dead?
