I noticed that some people pronounce "Amen" like "Ah-men" and some others pronounce like "eimen". How do you pronounce it?
does this keep you people up at nightI pronounce amen with the long "A" sound(Not long in length, but phonetically
)
You funnydoes this keep you people up at night![]()
I have tried saying it as "Ah-men" but it does not feel right saying it that way even though many others doI have frankly said it both ways and also I have sometimes just simply said "let it be done/let it be so" which is the rough translation of the word Amen. There's no magic power to the word, it is just a common conclusion to prayers since we ask at the end of every prayer that God's kingdom come and his will be done above all, and then therefore say "Amen/let it be done".
