Read the parable of the different kinds of dirt. The word of God is imperishable. The faith that grows from it is not at all.
Do you mean soil? I have read it. I hope you never fall away, since you believe it is possible for you to do so.
I have already made plain who it is who falls/walks away, and Scripture tells us they were not one of us.

If God set up a salvation method by which no man can boast, why do you propose a salvation that gives men the ability to boast? “I held on! You suckers let go!” 😅

Doesn’t it make sense that the true Christian remains a Christian, by definition? There are a lot of factors to consider here, such as the Holy Spirit as the seal of redemption (a guarantee of our inheritance) and the fact that a true believer was once dead in Adam but has been made alive in Christ and the life Christ gives is eternal.

Scripture, please.
Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me.

Peter and the rest fell away because at that point they didn’t endure.

Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.” 34Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” 35Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!”

What Peter claimed he would do.

Peter began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed. 75And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

The weeping was not because his faith was shaken but because he had denied Jesus.

Is that what you want?

The truth does not change depending upon what we believe. That verse is not talking about salvation at all.

It does not say he didn’t want to suffer as he did.

That is what you said ^ ^ and what I specifically asked for.

The man who holds on to a rope that another pulls him to safety doesn’t brag that he saved himself.

The holy spirit is not innert. He can be grieved away or even quenched. A quenched fire is out. The seal is broken. We must keep believing. Is that really so difficult? Who would boast of it anyway?

The one who states "I kept believing and endured and earned my salvation."

I held on and earned my salvation.

I really don’t understand the “keep believing “...that to means...”work”...how can you keep believing.....when he is in your heart?

That is a security when you know he is in your heart...the security of keeping us saved and always saved.

The Lord is in the heart of a believer.he doesn’t reside in the mind.

The 4th soil is the good soil , you know , the ones who are eternally saved in Christ Jesus...
We are SAVED by grace , not WILL be saved , and you are saying we are not unless one does this , or one does that...
And you keep saying that us in the 4th soil , SAVED think we can live as we want , funny how it is only you and others who do not think we are saved assume this , that is being presumptuous , something the bible tells us not to be...

Exactly , I know you do not need reminding of the Scripture , but some do...
Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

But Jesus didn’t say any of those things about that soil. He did not describe the soul as you say.

The “this” and “that” I tell you to do is to believe such that you do what Jesus teaches. That is it. He will not make us either believe or obey. Help? yes Force? no

I was thinking of 1 John 5:13 :)

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the
Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Believe and keep believing. He will not keep you believing.

How do you keep believing DorothyMae...can you define it for me?

Also has God taken up residence in your heart?

You say you are alive in Christ...how do you know that?

The forth soil is the good soil that the seed grows root...
It flourishes and brings forth fruit ,The other soils the seed does not root , we are rooted in Jesus , like we are in the vine , not hanging on the vine ...
If you dig deeper into the Parables of the soil , you will see the superficial believers , and the hard concrete heart that the seed does not penetrate...
I will stop now because I maybe going off topic...

Did you give up on the Judas angle?
