I have never destroyed anyone in my life. Discernment is what is needed. But some of them should have their bank accounts emptied.

I should add that many of those super duper badge flashing false prophets and teachers actually HAVE destroyed lives. They are accountable for that.

I am not disagreeing with your assessment or anyone else's pertaining to these liars behind the pulpit. It's just not my job to report them for who they are, because it's rather obvious what they are.

Well I don't think people should be heresy hunters if that is what you mean. So what is to be done with them then?

I am asking with serious intent and not trying to be flippant.

I have been around charismatic churches for almost 40 years and I have never seen a fish flopper. LOL

I can't say the same. And not to mention outrageous interpretations of supposed speaking in tongues

I give them to God first and foremost. I pray for their Congregation to wake up and to smell the coffee. But I am also aware that in the "Last Days" there will be a great falling away of those claiming to be Saints/Elect. I see it in terms with these False Doctrines that have gripped millions of lives in the recent past 50 years. My real hope for them, if they do not wake up, is to remember to get beheaded by refusing the Mark!

Neither have I, but in the Reddings' California Church under the leadership of Bill Johnson you will.

He is a part of the New Apostolic Reformation, isn't he? A movement that basically believes in 'revelation' apart from scripture or at least equal to scripture I think.

I am not actually sure. But he has promoted a man who teaches shaking the head and body while reading the Bible. He has a Bishop he sits under who teaches we can reach up to the sky and pull down Heaven to us. And his Church has been the focus of kundalini spirit movement where you can see a man on all 4 walking and barking like a dog while his wife is holding his neck tie like a dog leash pretending they are in the Spirit of God.

They even lay on the graves of people recapturing their spirit. It's some strange things for sure.

If someone cannot resist the lusts of the flesh now, today, they will not be able to give their heads resisting the Antichrist tomorrow. That would be self delusional to think that one could give their lives if asked to deny christ or die, and yet they cannot say no to fornication after Friday night bar hopping.

I agree and why God specified to John the words great delusion. I am praying though, for them, to wake up somehow. I just am baffled when we have the literal Spirit of God within us and can quench God to accept pure tripe.

You don't think any of them should be called out? I firmly believe in prayer, but I see people being called out in the New Testament. It's not just congregations...but huge churches and ministries that are so far gone that you wonder why God hasn't yet pulled the plug

I have read of excesses and abuses like this. However, we have over 70 million in just one penetcostal denomination that will correct abuses like that when it pops up. For people to use these extreme examples to paint a picture of all pentecostals being fish flopping dog barking grave suckers is like painting all baptists deacons as beer drinkers and chain smokers simply because there many bad examples out there.

It could be an extreme understanding of the OSAS doctrine of the Baptists that these addicts use to justify their sins and it could also be the wrong understanding of spiritual gifts and the pentecostal doctrine that these dog barkers have twisted to justify their practices but the fault does not lie with the OSAS doctrine nor the Pentecostal doctrine but with the wierdos that are doing their own thing in the name of religion. Lets not paint with a broad brush everyone who believes in speaking in tongues as in the same camp with dog barkers and lets not claim that all OSAS are teaching antinomianism and sloppy agape.

Unless of course they repent and learn WELL how to overcome sin and the lusts of the flesh.

Of Course. The willingness to suffer in the flesh (resisting temptation) to cease from sin because you love Jesus with all your heart soul body mind and strength and get victory over that lust. Becoming strong in that area you were once in bondage to is the evidence of a heart that has been completely surrendered to Christ as Lord and the same kind of heart that will say no to an "offer" of worshiping the image of the beast if you do not want to get your head cut off. You life is not more dear to you than your love for Christ.

We demonstrate that when we say no to sin. If we are willing to die before we willfully give in to that lust of the flesh again because we do not want to grieve the heart of the one we love with all our hearts, then we know that can give our lives for Christ if we had to.

This is not trusting in our will power, or our own love for the Lord, this is trusting in the supernatural Grace of God.
That grace that after we have suffered the temporary suffering that is involved resisting sin, comes and strengthens, settles and establishes us.

Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you

Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and a whole bunch more of the prosperity gospel, they are a bunch of (Phony's) fleecing the flock for gain $$$$$
You obviously figured it out for yourself so who really got fleeced: The one that hath nothing or the one which hath great riches?

There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. Prov 13:7

@lenna , @biker and @others...(yes, this could be you and me)

And I'm trying to word this properly to acknowledge BOTH types of fault (not to exalt one over the other).

Some people are wrong or by taking things too far.
Others are wrong by not even trying...
again... not even trying to keep certain commandments, like "Shout unto God with the voice of triumph."

Given that Revelation 3:15-16 says the following...:
  • "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."
...I don't think that sins of omission are necessarily better than sins of commission...especially if the people who are trying only have poor examples to go by. And to put it back into our own court (instead of pointing fingers at others), where are the good examples if we think those are bad?

"Shout unto God with the voice of triumph." How many Christians have never once done that? Great thought sister.
There is a time and a place for everything. Check out the Bible on that one.

Fake prophets and teachers do alot of shouting and it means nothing.

God still looks on the heart, but I actually have shouted to God.

I don't know how you come up with that with regards to exposing false teaching. That does not mean one does not praise God, or clap their hands, or dance before God or speak in tongues or any other Holy Spirit sanctified operation.

One does not exclude the other.

What do you think bothers God more? Someone who says they speak for God and yet they are fake or someone who is trying to figure out what is of God or not of God?

If I was circulating around the places they do, then yes, I would call them out. But to yap about them on a forum is useless and only accomplishes hatred towards those we are to love.

I am Pentecostal!

I just am trying to not put the spotlight on those who have no need for it.
