I love Jesus because He first loved me. As long as I remain in this state, I am abiding in the Vine and am perfectly and eternally secure in Jesus. Whenever I falter, all I need do is repent in a spirit of humility, and my salvation will remain secure. Turning away from our first love in a spirit of open and unrepented-of rebellion is a sad pit to fall into, but some will return to their vomit. We need to abide in the vine to see the Kingdom of Heaven someday.

We all agree that works and fruit are not the cause of salvation, but only the evidence of it.

My view peesonally off the hip...John knew full well of their hypocrisy....most of what they did was to be seen of men and they ALL knew full well that this "NEW WAY" WAS at some point going to "TAKE THEIR PLACE AWAY"......MUCH LIKE A POLITICIAN today....they will play both sides in some form or fashion and like Jesus said....

"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

With all due respect.....love is a process of growth and maturity and very few reach the pinnacle of mature love....and regardless...the power is in the message, not the motive behind the message....and NOTE OUT OF GOOD WILL = LOVE......the problem is how MANY view and devalue LOVE.....it is not emotional or some ooey gooey thing....it is a commandment and choice....

Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of rivalry, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice

Too many I's in your view and too many AS LONG AS I.......the position afforded US IN CHRIST IS IRREVOCABLY GIVEN, sustained, maintained and held secure by Christ! WE do not MAINTIAN our positioning in Christ...HE DOES!!

Everything God does is because of LOVE. Even His anger is love based.........the fire of His jealousy.

God is ooey gooey loveey.......there is NOTHING logical for Him to STILL be dealing with all of us!! He absolutely ooey gooey loves us ALL! :love:(y)

That would mean salvation is a reward, it is an irrevocable gift.

I wasn't saying YOU trashed me, I was just using that sentence as an example of how Mercy kisses Truth. I'm sorry I confused you.

This is what I mean, I hope it makes sense......

Say the truth of what happened is that someone spoke evil of another person and instead of hating them and retaliating, Mercy kissed them with forgiveness....Mercy loves truth and knows God loves that person so, Mercy kissed them even though they spoke evil.....Mercy kissed Truth, not the 'action' of the person but Mercy kissed the 'Truth' of the person which is that they are loved by God......

I understand that you disagree with how I deal with DM but, God's ways are so much higher than ours....perhaps we both could use our Father to left us on His shoulder and give us both a Heavenly perspective of the Gospel and His Love.....I will pray for that! :love:(y)

Salvation is the INVITATION to ABIDE........come on @EleventhHour abide in God's Love for you......His love is so life giving.....you will bear much fruit.......:love:(y)

I don't want you to be angry, but people need to know that getting born again is not a licence to just live in a lifestyle of willful and unrepented-of sin for the rest of their lives. They will end up in hell because they believed the big lie of "Once Saved-Always-Saved".

Whoa! Hold on Oyster67........ Salvation is a Gift received by faith (undeniable understanding of truth) from God's Holy Spirit that the Blood and Body of Jesus Christ saves us, there is salvation in no other - NOT even our own works. He keeps us, we abide in Christ but, HE KEEPS US ABIDING IN HIM - He does NOT lose even one. Salvation CANNOT be lost.

Any one that is IN CHRIST will NOT end up in hell. Of course, Christ has the keys to Hell anyways so, Christ can get them out if they end up there but, wait.......

Listen, it comes down to our souls being restored.....we need the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to renew our minds so we can know the perfect Will of God and power to do it.

Please do not think that people that are saved can lose their salvation......:cry:
