It's not irrelevant when you're saying "black lives matter". No one in the country has said what the cop did was right, or that he shouldn't be held accountable, or that bad cops shouldn't be held accountable. If black lives matter then all black lives matter.

As to what Trump tweeted I have no clue. Don't know any facts about it. Just reading now he said the man might be part of Antifa. I don't see where he would get that idea. All of the officers resigned in support of the two officers that pushed the man. Seems odd that they would do so. Guessing there will be a lawsuit and facts will come out.
As I said earlier, Martin Gugino, the 75-year-old Buffalo man shoved by two 30-something police officers, is a member of PUSH Buffalo, which focuses on affordable housing, and Western New York Peace Center, a human rights org. He is also part of the Catholic Worker Movement. He is not part of so-called antifa (which is an organization that doesn't exist. It is a made-up term to slander people who disagree with Trump.

Antifa certainly exists. There are pictures, interviews, videos, and so forth. There is a whole, semi-scholarly history written about the movement.

This is like saying the KKK doesn't exist.

antifa is "a political protest movement comprising autonomous groups affiliated by their militant opposition to fascism and other forms of extreme right-wing ideology.

That does not prove their nonexistence. Non-denominational Churches are autonomous, but they share articles of faith and have very real brick and mortar buildings you (presumably) and I could drive to at a moment's notice. Non-denominational church leaders and members behave similarly in the wider community.

Semi-autonomous would be a better choice of words. They have various chapters that occasionally coordinate with one another.

when a black person kills another black person, they are typically arrested and go through due process. It doesn't take Nationwide riots for them to be arrested and charged. That's the difference
the average black person doesn't have an entire Union protecting his criminal behavior either

So the police on the street who talk about Antifa, they made it up. People holding signs with Antifa written on it don't exist. Shoot, they even have a handbook and a place to vote online!

my children were talking about it today.
they are really concerned about whats happening in the US because it affects them. They deal with subtle racism of white privelige as do I...and police brutality. In no way do they feel safe with the cops who, because they just go on mug shots and always identify colour of skin...white caucasian male, (what is caucausian anyway??? that region doesnt even exist to most people) brown islander, black hair etc. its like you are prejudged and under suspicion before you even DO anything.

my mum would be walking down the street near to where a girl was heard to go missing then all of a sudden people were accusing the entire chinese community of kidnapping a child...who was found drowned due to her own (white) mothers neglect.

I pulled the library to pieces looking for books on racism and civil rights...I find a few that addressed insitutionalised racism in the US. we do know this has been happening for ages because those in power are usually white and they do NOT like sharing power with anyone who isnt. They dont even like women having power. It somehow rubs their noses the wrong way.

they make up new words like consociation and are really afraid to be governed by anyone who isnt like them, hence when Obama became president all the hatred was poured out on him simply because of the colour of his skin. well hello why not just TALK to him he would be the first to listen!

talk to each other. dont look down on one another. Be equal. Its God who lifts you up and only gives grace to those who are humble.

many of the cops are just like the pharisees and romans of Jesus day...brutal and nasty stooges who really wanted to kill Jesus cause he was 'causing trouble' and stone Stephen....its not wonder that God had to knock pharisee Saul to his knees just to convert him.

White privilege is a myth. It's conned up by Dems trying to keep their grievance machine going. The vast majority of cops are good men and women. They go out every day and do a hard job for little money. Their family never knows if they will be home that night. Even less so now that idiots in "authority" are saying they are going to defund them. It's a thankless job. Every bad cop makes a good cops job harder to do. They don't want bad cops. But as usual Dems do what they can to appease the far left crazies in their party. Instead of going to the root of the problem, bad cops and unions that keep them on the streets.

Back to white privilege. I saw a man here in the US who speaks at colleges trip up a student who was talking about white privilege. He argued up and down that it did indeed exist. He got rather nasty about it. Pious professors were encouraging the student on. Then the speaker said to the white student basically "go down to the deans office and tell them you give up your place for a black student". Of course he wasn't willing to do so, he was a hypocrite. Hollywood and liberals love to cry white privilege. But that something YOU are, not them. No, not them! You're not going to see these people give up their jobs, homes, cars, tvs because of their "privilege". Most of them don't even give to charity!! smh

Americans fought a war, it tore the country apart. They fought that war which gave freedom to slaves. They continued to fight and won the right to vote. Many "white privilege" people fought and died because they believed everyone had the right to be free. Dem slave holders fought tooth and nail to keep blacks in chains, and they haven't stopped to this day. The tell blacks they are not free, they are still victims and people like Sharpton and J.Jackson chase all over the country and yell how the white man still has them in chains. It's a lie. Is there racism? Yes! Absolutely! There are still racists in the country. Is America a racist country? No. There is nothing stopping a black person from accomplishing whatever they want to do in this country. Disagree? Well here's a picture to prove it... Eight yrs in office, and he didn't get there without a lot of white people voting for him, not once, but twice!! This is how far America has come from slavery.

Was Minnesota a northern state or a confederate southern state in the Civil War?

Ha to ask my husband - He said Minnesota was a Northern State.

Yes and that's where this crime took place so the media and government shifted everyone's focus off themselves and to the south that fell one hundred and fifty-five years ago.

White privilege sexually assaulting a girl behind a dumpster and only doing months in jail
People of color can to get disproportionate sentences for same or similar crimes

It is a sad reality that racial equality is not a reality in our days. No one I think could begin to grasp the plight that is ahead of us or in our past in the worlds history. We are taught things that cause us to not think to so that we cannot see the problem or where it is hiding.

In 1845 Texas became a state then twenty years later slavery ended before this it was ruled by Spain,France,Mexico.
The Louisiana purchase took place in 1803 and was ruled by France prior that and then 62 years later slavery ended. Georgia became a state in 1788 and 77 years later the Civil War ended slavery. Alabama became a state in 1819 and 46 years later slavery ended. Mississippi became a state in 1817 and 48 years later slavery ended.

In some of the chapters in our history books it speaks of generations of slaves in the deep south and then in other chapters it tells us that other nations ruled those same places and that the American Indians lived there prior to that. The movies we watch show us the same stories also. I do think that there were slaves but how can there be generations of slaves in places the same history books tell us did not exist for generations prior to the end of the Civil war? Did they shift the blame off themselves and onto someone else?

That's not white privilege, that's thanks to Bill Clinton, libs idol, which Trump is taking steps to change.
