My friend, there is not one church with a perfect doctrine in Revelation and I doubt that any one person on this site have the perfect knowledge of the Bible. I know we all think we have but there was one perfect Teacher.

If Christ is your Saviour we all part of the same family :) .
I agree, Jesus is the only perfect teacher.
Matt 15: 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
The question is? Was calvins doctrine TULIP a doctrine of God or of man.
The bible holds the answer.

I agree...
When I have wronged someone since being a Christian , I feel I cannot rest...
I confess to God that I have wronged that person , and as hard as it has been in some circumstances , He has given me the strength to approach that person and admit my wrong doing , and in return , the LORD has even restored my relationship with the person , although this person I am talking about is not a believer...

Gods love is amazing \ :)/

I know I have hurt many before I was born again , and I have truly repented , and I know with all my heart , should God put these people on my path again , I will confess my wrongs to them should the subject be brought up...

There is such beauty having a clear conscience Amen...
...xox...

Amen!....Rosemary....you have a sensitive heart.....

I have found that once I understood obedience....that is when my relationship changed dramatically with the Lord.....all to glorify him of course.
I think your saying the same as me.... when my relationship with God got stronger, my good works and fruits became stronger because of God. Glory to Him.

I also found through being obedient...my faith has increased beyond measure.....I know God is here with me....but I never knew the extent of his power as I know now....it’s mind blowing words can’t express it

Are you saying that if I go out and deliberately hurt someone....I’m not to feel sorry for what I have done?
Then you must not have the HS to convict and. Hasten you for that sin, not did you ever really think that was a sin to begin with, which means I doubt you were ever made a new creature. A creature who is created in a way sin is poison to them.
for those of us who know Christ, we understand this,

Predestination or osas is not love.
It is like a forced marrage, where the wife has no choice, even if the husbane promises to be loving, if the wife can not chose if she wants to love her partner back it is forced love. Which isn't real love. If a physical relationship is forced it is called rape. From Gods side, He will never reject us or turn us away, He will always protect us and keep us saved in His safe arms. But if we want to walk away from His safe, secure salvation we can. Satan did.

I do not know of any calvinists in this thread, so can you please respond to them, not calvin

What you just proved is you do not understand those terms at all

again, stop looking through a calvinist perspective,

the Fact is, nosas is not love, it is selfish, it says if you do for me, I will do for you,Ie, you earn gods love. And if you fail well too bad.

Exactly that was my point....I was asking the question to another member....I was confused by their answer.

Something rather curious, from VCO I learn that the OSAS camp expects agape love to fill the believer at conversion providing motivation to obey God. From the other I learn that repentance is merely changing your mind, a mental activity, nothing to do with emotions.

Now these two are completely opposite in my experience and reading of the Bible. For me, love is a choice you make in the mind at a point in real time because of a larger determination you made on the whole of your life. It is most noticeable when no emotions are involved which is when it costs the most. (Doing loving things is easy when your emotions feel like doing so anyway. It’s not easy when all desire to do so is gone.)

As for repentance, when I’ve repented as a result of seeing my sin, it was mostly emotional as seeing how God hates wrong makes you hate wrong and feel deep regret at your hand they did it. Hating sin is a deeply emotional response in line with God’s feelings on the matter.

So I thinks it’s curious that obedience to God, mostly a choice in the mind and repentance, a response in the heart has been totally flipped.

I should have said blessings....not increased faith....when one is obedient....thanks for pointing that out.
Sweet of you to back down but you were right. Obedience definitely produces faith. That because one exercises real faith to obey and the outcome strengthens faith.
