That's right, believing something is true doesn't mean it is true.

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; ..."
John 3:11

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
Acts 4:20

God, being eternal, is the same yesterday, today and for ever, therefore to preach that the evidence proves that healing does not occur today only fills in the blanks for whether anyone was healed in the past or will be healed in the future since there is no variableness nor shadow of turning in the eternal God
The prayer of faith heals the sick. But the claim of having an Apostle's signs and wonders is a lie that anyone can see through.

I assure you it was as the speaker did not learn that language and the outcome was the person was saved or ministered to by the Lord. Dave, I know you don't like it but you might as well be telling the blind who sees that he really doesn't and is only fooled into seeing or the lame woman we prayed for who got up and walked that she had better sit down because she is not really walking at all as God stopped doing that.
Speaking in tongues in scripture was not speaking foreign languages you did not learn. This is why I wonder if the sources were demonic. They travel the world.

Are you saying that your imagination is 100% in line with the scripture all the time? Do you thoroughly know the scripture so you would know this?
Yes, i am extremely familiar with every bit of scripture I have read though the entire Bible, listened through the entire Bible on audio several times. Studied and dissected much of It word by word. I’ve prayed and meditated on all of it. If there was any part I didn’t understand I brought it to the Lord and He explained it to me. I am not opening my mind to strange spirits. He explains the Bible but also helps give advice to me about marriage and my children. For example: when having some marital issues He asked me, “Does the kite hate the string?” Then he explained to me how although the string in many ways is an anchor, it is because of this anchor the kite can fly higher. The wind does not take control of it. If the string was not there the kite barely would have left the ground. He told me that although the string may cause me not to fly as high as I might prefer, if it had not been for the string, I never would have flown at all. He told me He put the string on the kite and not to begrudge the string but hold tight to it.

Now does that sound like a deceptive spirit? That’s not all He says to me. We talk like a Father would to a son. I don’t understand why most people are not trying harder to listen. I sought Him diligently all my life. My efforts were not in vain. He knows how much I love Him. He is not distant. I love the Book so much I wanted to meet the Author. I looked everywhere until I found Him. It’s not my imagination.

Dave, if the faith is only sparingly, then the healing is only sparingly. Jesus himself could not heal many because of their lack of faith.
Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit = Christ gives the faith he recognized the elect by. He did not heal those whose sins were not paid for.

Apostle sent one with no other meaning added.

Yes we are not to make gods out of the apostles in the likeness of men . (Acts14) Paul and Barnabus saw right through those who had no faith.

We walk by faith the unseen eternal not after the corrupted flesh of mankind .

Apostles sent one. Abel the first apostle as a martyr.

Balaam's Ass was the first non human creature used as a apostle to deliver His living word which stopped the madness of that false apostle.

It would appear according to the cerinimoinal law that God is revealing he is not served by human hands as a will in any way shape or form as to what the eyes see the temporal corrupted. This as if He who satisfices all needs, needed something from the earthen clay he is forming Christ in .

Exodus 13:13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

To break ones neck, like falling backward slain in the spirit or hanging they are used together to identify the spirit of judgement throughout the bible.

If he healed their soul .Its enough to show their sin were atoned for.

No sacrifice for temporal healing. The wage of sin is set. It includes the sufferings dying pains being revealed from heaven a dying creation.. called the first death

Was the day of Pentecost demonic cause they all spoke languages they hadn’t learned and the outcome was called the HS by all? Your conclusion doesn’t match the Bible.

Really, is there a sheep study that actually concludes that? I didn’t answer your question because my “imagination” is not my imagination. The answer was right in the phrase you quoted. If my “imagination” is 100% scripture based and scripture is 100% scripture based, which is greater? Why do you find it so hard to think God speaks to His children? How are we supposed to know where God sending us if He doesn’t tell us?
Many shepherds have testified how sheep easily get in trouble and end up as ‘cast’ sheep.

So why did you use the word ‘imagination’, when in reality you meant Scripture? Or are you saying your imagination is on par with Scripture, thus making yourself a Prophet or an Apostle? Is that what you are trying to tell us?

Well the gift of tongues was evidence for the apostles but not all are given the gift of tongues upon receiving the holy spirit
Where do you get this idea from? Are you aware of scriptures that note any other evidence accompanying the indwelling of the Holy Ghost?

Psychos "hear" God speaking. God speaks through his word only.

“NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 (KJV 1900)

Love will always cause you to make the right choice.

Psychos? LOL! While the fact does remain that there is abuse within certain denominations I would suggest that believing God no longer is personal is equally disturbing. For that matter, somebody show me ANY denomination that does not have problems. Or better yet, let's call it what it really is. Sin

God speaks through his word. Don't let your imagination become an idol.
Your Bible is your idol. Everything that my “imagination” has spoken to me has been 100% verified in the Bible.
Here is where it started. You castigated the bible in response to a warning about your imagination showing you esteem the latter over the former.

God most definitely speaks through His word since the Holy Spirit is our Teacher and testifies of the TRUTH of the word but the simple fact there, is that people appear to have different applications for that truth. I would suggest we do not have any idols of course, but the testimony of man seems to be the idol for many these days.

“Imagination” was in quotation marks for a reason. It was in response to another poster. I never declared it was my imagination. Someone else did. I’m not saying I’m “a prophet”.

My understanding is, that God makes us obedient when He regenerates us. I also believe there';s a very fine line between the "works gospel" and the "gospel of sovereign grace".
We can easily put the horse before the cart and conclude that we are saved by our obedience and works, but my understanding is that we obey and do good works because we are saved and not to be saved.
That's the question. What does the word specifically say about the means God uses to regenerate man.

Jesus words in John 3:3-5 about the need for all to be born of water and Spirit are seen in Peter's instructions given on the day the NT church was born. Peter said everyone was to comply with water baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
Notice the scripture below from Titus speaks directly to God saving us through washing AND renewing of the Holy Ghost. Again the connection between water baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is seen.

Titus 3:4-5
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

You are correct. I guess I started it but the quotes were to identify I don’t think it’s my imagination. I think there was a similar thread challenging the ability to hear God. At one one point it was suggested people who hear God are just hearing their imagination. I might have got the thread confused. My apologies. Great fact checking though!

By prophet I think some people are called by God to deliver His message. Those people are given signs for validation. I think the curtain ripped down separating the Holy of holies just may indicate we may now be able to enter His presence and hear His voice.

Those who obey the living God in real life have moved on beyond being concerned about salvation. They are after relationship.
This statement is true if one has actually been born again according to what the word says. I am in no way trying to offend anyone. Many, myself included, have sat under those recognized as supposed men of God and found that what they preached at times was not backed up by the word. The word is the final authority and it is what each and everyone of us will be judged by. (John 12:48)

Eternity is too important for anyone to neglect to go before God in prayer and ask that He reveal HIS truth concerning what obedience is required in order to partake of the actual Spiritual rebirth He has made available by His grace.

The word itself makes it clear that many will think they are been reborn when in fact Jesus will say "I never knew you." (Matt 7:23)That is a scary scripture. Imagine how shocked a person will be upon hearing such a statement from Jesus. Notice Jesus said, "...depart from me ye that work iniquity." Iniquity doesn't necessarily mean sin, it means deviating from the correct path. This makes me think about the need to enter in at the narrow straight path and not the broad way of destruction that is well traveled. (Matt 7:13-14)

Consider that immediately after making the statement, "I never knew you," Jesus speaks directly to one's need to make sure they have a proper foundation.

Matt 7:21-27
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We may enter His Presence through the blood of Jesus Christ and He is our Mediator. But many claim they hear from God, yet when their words that they claim are from God contradict Scripture then we reject it.

Isaiah 8:20 NKJV
[20] To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

when God spoke to the Apostles and Prophets, He did in such a way that it was not filtered through the remaining flesh/old nature. There is no indication today that when a person ‘hears’ from God, it is as Good as Scripture. Rather, we are to test all things by Scripture (even if some consider Scripture an idol).

Acts 17:11 NKJV
[11] These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

I agree. But then, of course, none of us are right all the time. I know of men of God who don’t agree with what they had previously preached.
Eternity is too important for anyone to neglect to go before God in prayer and ask that He reveal HIS truth concerning what obedience is required in order to partake of the actual Spiritual rebirth He has made available by His grace.
Excellent!! Very strongly agree!!

Cannot sent that obvious truth! And yes it is scary. The word says to examine ourselves to make sure we are in the faith.
