What is brotherly/brethren love?
a, pretend they’re saved even if they sin? OR
b, tell them they could end up in hell?
Most of the cults "love bomb" their victims so they stick around. Love is unconditional. So many times the babies hate those who speak the truth. When all they need to do is study the bible and prove themselves wrong. Before attempting to learn anything from it.

Paul gave what was needed to babes, The milk of the word. Was he frustrated with the Corinthians because they weren’t able to receive the meat? Possibly a little but we know by other scriptures that he viewed himself as a father to all the fellowships, and indeed he was. He was given the truth of the connection to Jesus as being members of His body by the truth of the gospel and the new birth. The oneness of being altogether in Him. And the new law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Paul has great love and great patience for the churches. A true shepherd.
So we can see what is the milk and what is the meat by the last few words of verse 3. Do you not yet walk as mere men? The natural man. As versus the Spiritual man.

My opinion is that when we come to this place of walking like this, we are moving into the fullness of His Spirit. The spiritual man/woman.

To be fair, sanctification takes a lifetime to complete. Mature Christians still having little sins here and there are still on the same square as a new Christian who isn't good at brotherly love yet; square one. No one is ever perfect in this life, but there is such a thing as daily renewal and a process of sanctification. Ultimately, Jesus is who justifies us and makes us righteous so let's keep trusting the Holy Spirit.

If you believe sanctification takes a lifetime, so be it. I believe (Hope) it will happen sooner. Each to their own

Are you asking "How to identify a carnal christian based on 1 Cor 3:1-4?
Would it be saying I am a Calvinist, or I am an Arminian? Or would it be when we see strife, divisions?
Do you know anyone alive on this earth right now that has completely ceased from sin...mature Christian or not? As for me, I don't know any sinless people no matter how much they proclaim and preach it. Pride goes before the fall. So instead of lifting ourselves up in some type of vain pride and condemning others. How about we bear one another's burdens and try to help a brother or sister who is overtaken in a fault? The text tells us that Paul "could not" give them solid food, because there was jealousy and strife among them.
What is your point for bringing up this passage for discussion, and what does it have to do with brotherly love, in your view?
In John it tells us that the mark of a Christian is that they love one another.
John 13 34 new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
We are even to love our enemies, for they were created by the Lord. That means acceptance of them, not being judgmental. We can judge the sin that they are committing, but not them. These people are accepting envy, jealousy, and strife that separates them from hearing the word.
There is a big difference between helping people overcome sin and judging and accusing people of sin.
Repentance is indeed a life-long process leading to sanctification.

So wouldn’t the action of judging our own hearts through Holy Spirits guidance, not our own religious trying to be perfect and failing, keep us in the flow of Holy love to one another, and also to ourselves being the precious “temple” of Holy Spirit?
