We should evaluate our needs and always put them before our wants, instead of letting the lust of the eye, the pride of life and the desire of the flesh lead us.
💯 true, ‘Don’t gain the world and lose your soul’

"What's the harsh reality no one accepts"?

This is pretty much impossible to answer, since there is no way to interview every single person on earth. For the sake of discussion, I think Matthew 6:21 is extremely close.

Who doesn't want more money to buy things they can't afford? We are bombarded with advertisements that fuel consumerism and indebtedness. People are constantly borrowing and borrowing, so they can have things they can't afford. People tend to generally judge you by how much wealth you have or don't have.

We all have plenty of retirement savings in heaven, but we just have to be saved to claim it. All our needs and desires should be on Christ, not on the foolish riches on earth. With that said, I do think God would wants us to work and enjoy the blessings of work, but the money shouldn't be our main focus.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

That you shouldn’t place your hope in people.
You know, I used to think that until all this happened. People came out of the wood work to help one another.I That is when I realized that Americans still believe in , And rely on one another! That amazed me . Made me want to do better, be better, I almost forget about how it was. But I get it. No one that I am around believes like I do. But they are good people. I'll keep trying. Lol..

well God is kind of old fashioned that way in that Hes like a Father to us, not someone who says well son you are on your own. Dont come crying to me. See ya.

That we are all gonna die?

I suppose having faith depends on whether you go up or down.
Or we may get 'caught up' in the Rapture.
We are all prejudice about something, and need to sort it out, and ask God for help and insight:).
Second commandment by Jesus 'Love thy neighbor as thyself' can fulfil all the law, and by loving/esteeming God first!

Interesting thing about prejudice is.,,if you pre-judge people and never give them a chance, what does that say about you? Would that mean you just assume that you are right all the time and can never be wrong, that you are God? Something for the calvinists to answer in their predeterminsitic views on everything.

Lord knows they cannot accept the reality that people can make choices as we are humans...and sometimes we make the wrong ones. But the reality is God allows for that which is why He sent His only son Jesus Christ to save us...as we need saving...we cannot save ourselves.

The harsh reality of "Christianity" in the US is the people involved do not accept those who aren't just like them. God forbid someone is different than the majority of congregants.

Harsh reality is that if you are honest and tell the truth people arent going to like it
But if you lie it seems they let you off. hmm. But then God will know you lied and He doesnt like that either. He cant lie. cos He is not a man that he should lie.

ergo...all men are liars?
so what does this mean for us women ...dont trust men...?!

Spoiling a child, it's hard for some to accept that they actually are spoiling their children, blinded by so many reason, regardless, it's happening, it's a reality and it's hard to accept.

yep...I read this book about the mother of the columbine shooter. she could not, would not accept that they (parents) had totally spoiled their son so he couldnt tell right from wrong...and was easily swayed. Oh but we were a nice normal middle class family....yea but just being middle class and polite doesnt mean a thing if you cover his butt while he goes on a criminal robbing spree. Which he did a full two years before the shooting.
