Not gonna lie that was funny because you have been proven wrong time and time again and not once have you proven yourself right. I have been patient with you and tried to reason with you but clearly all you care about is your own view and for some reason think yourself learned when in fact you are ignorant to the truth and you need to stop being rude and insulting others as well unless you wish to prove my point in your ignorance.
Only a child insults and boasts their truth without any regard to what anyone else says and if your not careful and more respectful to others you may get banned people have been banned for less than that
You know, the test of the degree of the Holy Spirit in a person is mainly one of character in my view.
Those in the Bible most filled with the Holy Spirit were of remarkable character. They did more than they talked.

Here's the thing Dave and I mean this sincerely. I have no desire to prove you wrong. Personally, I would rather be happy than to prove myself to be right at the expense of hurting someone else. That is a price that is too high for me to pay.

So you know, I have heard that still small voice since childhood. He mostly tells me what He wanted and still wants me to do that is doing justly to others, loving mercy when they fail to do justly by me and to walk humbly with Him. Not everyone who claims to hear Him shows off, demonstrates poor judgement and otherwise ignores scripture and love of God and man.

When the Holy Spirit comforts you by bringing scripture to you that IS God communicating to you. That is His job, Jesus left and sent Him.
He directs us to the answer and i would say the majority of the time it is in the Bible but its not our brilliant minds knowing automatically. It His small, still voice.
If it was something specifically personal He will speak. Why would He stop communicating with beloved children?

I have been in meetings where people who attended a “school of the prophets” gave a “Word” and the Holy Spirit within me as well as my mind knew it was totally “flesh,” that is was designed to flatter the recipient and bolster the giver of the word’s image to the group. It wasn’t God at all but human ego talking.
And everyone thought they weren’t supposed to evaluate it because the speaker of the “word” claimed it was God. Those “schools” didn’t teach them that if you claim you got a word from God, the others are actually REQUIRED to judge it. If you give an opinion they are not. That’s how ignorant believers desiring to move in spiritual gifts are. They don’t seem to have any discernment as to what is God, what is the enemy and what is prideful self.
So I understand a reluctance to accept any of it. God does speak to me and often enough but I very rarely tell others unless it’s some insight that will benefit them and even then I don’t share my source unless asked. If it’s God it will have His obvious mark of insight so there’s no need to claim authority and I have to be on guard against the pride of my own heart constantly.
So I’ve seen modern abuses and know the real deal. If a person is filled with the Holy Spirit there will be the fruit of his working in their CHARACTER, brothers and sisters, not particularly what they claim is happening.
I suppose this means you have not met a real one. That there is counterfeit money does not mean real money does not exist. There are real prophets but I admit the real ones are few and far between the many false ones claiming the title and enjoying the admiration of men. They skipped the seasons of God doing the heavy preparation but went right to the speaking part without the character God requires.

Those scriptures do not say that the flow of tongues were the evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. As I said, it is the most easily faked of the giftings and actually probably the only one that can be faked.
Does not mean that this is what always happens. You assume it is. Also, notice that others understood in their own languages. This never happens with the pentecostals all start talking "in tongues."
Notice Peter does not even mention the gift of tongues. You instert that into the scripture that is not there.
The Bible teach us that a wicked and adulterous generation is looking for sign and wonders. I think I am starting to understand now.....
If you had one gift, you would use it in love for others. But you only pass by saying, yep the Lord still heals today.
All prophets are false since the gifts expired. You can see them drop off in the Epistles.
