You are repeating yourself. Scriptures confirm spiritual concepts whether one sees it or not.And you say scripture is not perfect. Paul says it completely furnishes us. And tongues and prophecy were only in part.
You are repeating yourself. Scriptures confirm spiritual concepts whether one sees it or not.And you say scripture is not perfect. Paul says it completely furnishes us. And tongues and prophecy were only in part.
When Jesus returns tongues will cease.Paul said tongues would cease and they did. Where are they in history? Why don't all churches speak in tongues? Only the fringe groups of questionable origin?
The enemy will always try to counterfeit Godly principles. It is his way of steering people away from finding the truth and being saved. The gift is easily faked. I personally don’t think it’s evidence of the HS worth talking about unless it’s a known language the speaker doesn’t know.
No offense but you lack understanding of the scriptures you have yet to make one vital point to prove your belief and when you tried to using scripture yesterday you only used scripture that contradicts your own view you just didn't understand what the scripture was saying. This contradicts scripture. If scripture thoroughly furnishes us and Peter calls it a more sure word of prophecy than God speaking audibly. We should let it lay and not delve into voices that go off in some people's heads, calling it God speaking.
I beg to differ:Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. You cannot believe in the true Christ unless you have the Holy Spirit.
I know people who wanted the HS and were pressured to babble something and faked it to get the loving brethren off their case. They really wanted the HS. No enemy except in insisting one babble. The enemy will always try to counterfeit Godly principles. It is his way of steering people away from finding the truth and being saved.
Still doesn’t say everyone does. Please don't take this wrong but what one personally believes should never override what is provided for in the word. Paul explained that a person speaking in an unknown tongue is speaking to God:
"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."
Only the 12 received the baptism. The 120 were a different time and place. All believers in the OT had the Holy Spirit. Faith is his fruit and Hebrews 11 lists a bunch.I beg to differ:
The apostles and the 120 in the upper room clearly believed that Jesus was the resurrected Messiah prior to receiving the infilling of the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost.
Also the bystanders who Peter spoke with believed that Jesus was the Messiah but were told to repent, and be baptized in Jesus' name for the remission of sin and they would receive the promised gift of the Holy Ghost.
It couldn't be you just don't understand? No offense but you lack understanding of the scriptures you have yet to make one vital point to prove your belief and when you tried to using scripture yesterday you only used scripture that contradicts your own view you just didn't understand what the scripture was saying.
Again many here have wise insight and understanding so again I say to you take their insight to heart and study the word more deeply
They ceased when Paul said they did. When Jesus returns tongues will cease.
A study of church history shows there have always been those who actually pursued the truth, obeyed and received the promise of the Holy Ghost as depicted in the word.
Remember if was Jesus Himself that said FEW would find and enter in at the strait and narrow gate:
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matt 7:13-14
Either God's word is perfect or your babbling is.You are repeating yourself. Scriptures confirm spiritual concepts whether one sees it or not.
They are the dead Nephilim."Jesus I know and Paul I know, who are you?"
What do you think? They have been here since the beginning.
Not if you think voices in the head are God speaking. The bible is the final authority.
Only those people did. It wasn’t a general decision. God talked to David regularly. They begged Moses to speak for God instead.
Read books, they teach a lot about it. https://www.amazon.com/Pagan-Pentecostalism-Its-Roots-Slavery/dp/1500858080what an ignorant comment clearly unlearned. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit have nothing to do with Voodoo. You should be more careful about how you Speak in context to the Holy Spirit and HIS Gifts.
David was a Prophet. To day's strange voices in the head bunch are not.Only those people did. It wasn’t a general decision. God talked to David regularly.

It all happened in its time. Today these are called lying signs and wonders.Jesus did it for me when HE said in Mark 16:17
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;"
And Jesus said in Acts 1:8
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. "
Paul said concerning the Gifts of the Holy Spirit I don't want you ignorant
1cor 12:1
So I think the Lord Jesus and Paul are more than enough to refute your false book. Now pack it and smoke that.
