That's weird, in the gif it actually puts the tick in but when I post it it doesn't. Obviously I am not crazy then??

you are not crazy. I checked out the original gif and can tried to put it here. I can verify and testify that what you say is true.
It shows a YES check in the original, but does not copy fully here.......
