God created us because He loves us.
He wanted us to love Him with all our hearts,
All we need to know is that and nothing else
If we don't love Him we put us at our own peril.
Everything else is an intellectual exercise.

Even simpler; Born again, repurposed, God/Jesus are the truth, and the truth will set you free.

This is not true. “Even every one that is called by my name: For I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” (Isaiah 43:7)

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 (KJV 1900)

Paul said “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,” (Ephesians 3:9–10)

Paul also says; “What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,” (Romans 9:22–23)

Nice post, just remember to mention Jesus, what He did for us, and why.

all of what you posted happens because not enough love God...they would rather complicate things instead.

Any pagan or pseudo-spiritualist might say what you have said.

Is it all they need to know?

Knowledge of the person and work of Jesus Christ is a totally superfluous intellectual exercise?

“And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” Deuteronomy 30:6 (KJV 1900) Love is from God, not us.

Yes. While I understand what the Author is trying to do by waxing poetically about God, God is so very much that no tea cup will ever hold Him or what we need to know about Him......

If I were to try and condense God and what we need to know it would be the precious blood of Christ.......but, even then, there is so very much more we need to know.

Still, waxing poetically about God being love is ok, it's just not all we need to know......

yes it is because as paul said to the people of Corinth...all I wanted to preach to them is Christ crucified
I preachers stand there and yelp out the same old chestnuts sunday after Sunday but that does not
open up our hearts to God...as long as people preach words, they are in the flesh. They have not yet
become a new creation. Talking means nothing, being in the Spirit means everything.

yet Paul used a great many words - more than we even have preserved - in order to preach Christ crucified, and prayed constantly that those who believed the gospel would keep increasing in the knowledge of God ((Col. 1:9-10))

why do you figure God gave us so much scripture? would it be better if He had only given a few brief words to say He cares and hopes we have a nice day?

i don't think your simplification is a good idea. the Bible tells the simple to stop loving their simplicity ((Prov. 1:22)). i see in the word the opposite view, that we should participate in the infinite endeavor of seeking God out in all of His beautiful complexity, becoming wise in Him.

no preacher's soliloquy, however curt or however long, opens a person's heart and mind to know the Lord. that is the LORD's own work. ((see 1 Cor. 2:1, 2:4; Matt. 11:27 / Luke 10:22 for example))

His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. ((Hosea 4:6, Proverbs 29:18, Amos 8:11 etc))
eschewing knowledge isn't a path to escaping confusion, but to causing it.

He says to know Him is eternal life.
That's more than just knowing a god exists that loves you.
Amen. 'Knowing Jesus' is far more than just knowing about Him.

Matthew 7
7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
