the whole entertainment industry belongs to satan, it can never be good, in any context, or form. those who form it have sold their souls for success, and we fall into their traps because satan is desirable. the whole market, all the products belong to satan, the bar code is the mark of the beast 666. nobody can sell, buy without that bar code. people have sold their soul for little things.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17)
that bar code represents, in a way, the modern, smart man. we are at the threshold where we were promised that we will become like God, artificial intelligence, robots are an important step. who promised us that we would become wise like God? satan. it doesn't mean that God wants us to be fools, no, he wants us like angels.
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Revelation 13:14-15)
the TV is the icon of the beast. it is about the survival of the fittest. the internet has the same purpose. i never felt that if you do not worship the TV, someone will kill you, but it is clear that we, the weak, are the prey of the tough ones, that is what the TV "teaches" us. we all believe that the winner takes everything, the loser takes nothing. do not forget that satan wants to kill us, do not be worried because God will provide everything we need. this is the life, we have a kingdom with all kinds of things, and everyone chooses what they like, but addictiveness, greed, success, adultery, killings (for food) do not belong to God, if you want them you must worship satan. any man can sell his soul to the devil for anything, but the price to pay is huge.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
the killings for food will cease someday, but now it is allowed, as long as we are not aware that to not kill is a commandment. God gave us permission to eat meat, but my opinion is this: it's tricky. if everything is bad, what does God give us then? God gives us peace, joy, love.

Six hours and twenty minutes and rated 8.5 on imdb . . . I prefer this one at half the length :D

Though how it could be of Satan when it is a word for word rendition of the gospel of John?

Perhaps it is the translation they use

I happen to have a history with this one. My mother used to take us kid's to mass
every Sunday. She taught us that Jesus died for us. And the kid stuff like "Noah's ark",
The ten commandment's,( Moses). Anyway I never really understood until one Easter Sunday
morning, I woke up very early to get my Easter basket.( At the time , we only had 3 t.v. channels)
and this was on. I did not realized that Jesus died that way! I was 6 or 7, I got it. Jesus was
persecuted
for our sins. Taught us a new way of life. " Love one another, as I have loved You" That was a profound statement to a 7 yr, old grasp,.I go to Mass every Sunday and this is why. Jesus was the King of the world! How could you not follow Him. It's a tradition , we watch it every year. I don't know ,It makes me grounded in a way. My way of thinking about Christ has'nt change...

I think there's no harm in watching some of Hollywood's renditions of BIble stories, as long as one knows his Bible well, and has a relationship with Christ. As long as such a movie contains enough of the worthwhile parts of Bible stories. Christians don't seem to ever get around to making many public Bible story movies - maybe because of the high cost. I would guess that some who go to Hollywood's versions of the story of Jesus' life and crucifixion might even be drawn into becoming a Christian through it. But since Hollywood's Bible stories have truth mixed with error, it could have adverse affects on some unbelievers, I'd guess. The safest thing is always to get 100 % Bible truth.

If you understood that Jesus was God in human flesh, then you understood part of the most important things about the way of salvation. And without it, no one can be saved, as they are only trying to please God in their own strength, and failing to rely on God's strength for that and on His forgiveness of sins. The Catholics fail to recognize that it is Jesus alone who should be prayed to and who alone is able to forgive sins, and provide eternal life. So they are 't saved. No one can be saved without understanding these things correctly, and repenting, and accepting Jesus as Lord (God) and Savior of their life.

I used to be rc too. We had a wonderful humble priest. After I made my last confession (it was something I had to do, because of my mortal sin) I left. I had done an alpha course & realised that it was all about Jesus-in Christ alone. I had to leave because We were praying to saints! the rosary! Benediction! Stations of the cross! Prayer candles!...

I was a devout rc believe you me.

However, 1christian1 We cannot have false gods. (False because they’re not real) but they are a distraction from The One True Lord Jesus-who is the image of the invisible G_d -with The H.S. May The Lord bless you and keep you... numbers 6:24-26 😊

Who else do you think we pray to? Do you believe in the Holy Trinity? do you even know what that is? I'm asking because I don't know what you "Saved people" believe. I believe in what was past down for 2000 year's from Christ. What I say is that It is impossible for you to know who 1.5 billion people are . Much
less cast judgement on us. You are too funny! It would be good if people concentrated on keeping their own side of the street clean. Focus on your relationship with Christ. And not worry yourselves with other's.
Maybe if you dig deeper within your own faith you will understand what I am talking about.

Hello MyrtleTrees :) The video I posted is a word for word rendition of the gospel of John :)

And also very well acted out, scene by scene, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.

My only issue with it is the translation/version they chose ;)

Despite that, I have recommended it many times to others, and watched it quite a few times myself :D

For someone to say the whole industry belongs to Satan, and that the whole entertainment industry can never be good, in any context, or form, is demonstrably false, and has been shown to be so.

Many years ago I attended an evangelical church to view a showing on the life of Christ according to the gospel of Luke. I had been raised in a fairly strict Roman Catholic home, though I was not Christian at the time, and I did not know Jesus - at all. I was in a particularly hurting and broken state then, feeling quite hopeless and like a total failure in my life following, among other things, the breakdown of my marriage subsequent to multiple miscarriages including the still birth of the child I had gotten married for. I had quit the church half my life-time before this. In fact I was quite set against organized religion and could not be said to be partial to the Bible in any meaningful way, and yet I was curious to know Who Jesus was even as I was running from God in rebellion and defiance. I consider myself to have been very lost at that time from my present perspective, but God knew exactly where I was.

During my short time at that church to see the movie (which was being shown in two parts over two Saturday evenings around Passover) and attend a couple of Sunday services, I experienced a Divine intervention/encounter which has become part of my testimony.

After watching the movie I experienced a full body mind and soul experience of God's infilling with the Light of His unconditional love and forgiveness for me and all I had done, all the ways I had messed up my life, all my failings, failures, and mistakes, all of it bathed in the Light of His absolute knowledge and understanding of how and why I had become the person I was, illuminated in the Light of His unconditional love and total forgiveness. I felt the totality, strength, and depth of His love so profoundly, I wept uncontrollably, because I also felt so broken and lost and beyond redemption, and most of all unworthy.

Though I cherished in my heart the experience of knowing I was loved and forgiven by God (which probably went a long way to saving my life at the time), I did not believe in "that" God, and went on my way from that life-saving experience thinking it was too bad it happened in a church. I had begun a spiritual seeking phase, and carried on in that for another fifteen years until God clearly called me out of what I was doing with another profound and earth-shattering divine intervention which turned my world upside down. Still, even after that clear calling out, my stiff-necked stubbornness was so set against Him it took another year following the calling out for me to lay down my opposition and fully surrender my life to Him.

It is unfortunate that so many Christians profess to believing in God and His eternal Living Word but claim God does not talk to people any more, and that He only reveals Himself through the Bible. God powerfully and profoundly revealed Himself to me in various personal ways numerous times over the years before my conversion, and did I finally come to accept that the Bible held many of the answers I had been seeking all along.

Knowing these things, and how long suffering God is, and having experienced very powerfully for my own self His loving kindness, patience, and forgiveness, helps me to stand firm and desire to carry some kind of message to those who still struggle and suffer until they too become willing to turn to God and find the freedom and answers they seek, and the Truth and peace we know as Jesus Christ. God uses many means to reach people, and that includes the "entertainment industry."

Who exactly are you saying was not real? The station's of the cross? I know you don't like the reality of what Christ endured for our sin's. When we pray , we are remembering what Christ went through. I know you people would like to think. Oh, Yeay. I just have to believe that Jesus died for my sin's and I'm good!
That is childish. Jesus said. When I was a child, I thought like a child. When I became a man I thought like a man. What do you think He means by that? I know that Catholic's used to go too far with this. During Lent. My Great grandfather's Church used to reenact the stations of the cross. Literally! The used to strap a man to the cross. Walk from one church to another, Beating and whipping the man. My grandfather had permanent scars on his back. That has been banned. Christ told us that we were going to be chastised and ridiculed for speaking his name. Do you think that you are immune! You people have this pollyanna attitude towards Christ. All the trials and tribulations I have gone through have made my bond with Christ
real. I was tried and found wanting. I know now that it was Satan that was trying to make me question God's existence. I went through hell and came out the other side!

Following my conversion - or perhaps it would be more accurate to say during my conversion, for it could probably be best described as a process - I also attended a neighborhood Catholic church a few times where I went to confession :D When I recited what I remembered from my upbringing, "Bless me father for I have sinned, it has been thirty three years since my last confession..." The priest hearing confessions that day interrupted me, and asked to have a private session after he had heard everybody else. I agreed, and waited, and then he and I went into an adjoining room where we conversed for close to an hour. I say humbly that he told me my experiences were quite rare. I tried to find him again following my full conversion but could not, as he may have been a visiting priest, and had a common name as priests often do in naming themselves after popularized saints.

That would have been in the late spring or very early summer of 2004. I had been deeply disturbed by events surrounding God revealing Himself to me the summer before, and was trying to come to an understanding I could accept of what I had experienced. By late summer/early fall of 2004, I was invited to an Alpha course by a friend who was to be one of the table hosts. I was still not in a state of full belief and surrender, but had been attending various churches regularly for a few months, more than one service each Sunday :geek: It was during the Alpha course that I came to realize I no longer needed convincing of the Truth of God's Word. Hallelujah!!! And oh my goodness, what a relief to finally lay down my opposition to God and accept that the same God I had been running from most of my life was the One Who had been pursuing and revealing Himself to me, just as I needed and as He saw fit. I was full-immersion baptized that fall :D

That was an interesting story of your testimony of how you found Christ! I too, resisted God for many years, in spite of my parents being very godly, and in spite of their excellent biblical training of all of us children (10 in all). But the time finally came when I was about 31, when I got tired of the troubles of my life caused by sin and emotional troubles, and I fully surrendered my life to HIs full control, ever since! As you say, there are many spiritual sources in the world, that can have spiritual benefit upon people, in spite of imperfections of the sources - provided that people's hearts are starting to open up to God. That is demonstrated as true in this passage, too:
Matt 23:1-3
23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
KJV
And as you say, God's Spirit calls out to all unbelievers, though many resist Him:
Matt 22:14

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
KJV

Rom 1:20

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
KJV
Comment: The creation is an evidence all people can see that proves that there is a God.
And God gives us all consciences, whether we know any of God's written laws or not:
Rom 2:14

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
KJV
God bless you! I'm glad you found Him, just as I'm glad I found Him! I love deep study of God's Word and post spiritual things very often in Facebook, etc. I know the Bible very well, as i have a good memory, and have re-read it for many years. I am 62 at this time. Have a good day!

This added information about your process of getting closer to full surrender is interesting too. Yes, I went through a process like that, too. But God sees when people are in a process towards coming into full surrender. And He does all He can to get it to happen if at all possible and as soon as is possible always. He is loving and patient and that's good!
