I find it interesting that DB claims to be a new Christian yet wants to teach people that have been Christians for years their errors
It's not one or the other, it's both.
Does God love older Christians more than he does new Christians?I find it interesting that DB claims to be a new Christian yet wants to teach people their errors that have been Christians for years.
You're making the mistake that others have made in this thread: you're conflating our requirement to keep God's commandments with 'salvation by works'.OK can you please point me to the verse where He says "unless you keep my commandments you will die in your sins"
I am already familiar with John 8:24 but am not aware of the passage where He says eternal life is by works.
Thanks.
Hebrews 10:26
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins."
Jesus said to keep his commandments, did he not?
Or is he lying?

I have already provided Hebrews 10:26 for you.
Read what I wrote. When I asked which of the two things He said, you said both.
Did He say both or not?
This is WHY i ignored everything he said
Well said and true! As the sheep and goats parable of Matthew 25 shows, many who think they are Christians will sadly find out that they aren't! So much better to make sure one is saved and be willing to live in obedience to God's Word, than to end up in hell!
Read what I wrote.
He also said, through me, to change that awful profile picture you have![]()
The advice of James, don't teach others to not follow the law, comes from his brother Jesus, who taught those that teach against the law will be called last in the kingdom. This actually got Paul in trouble...he did this to satisfy James advice because too many were saying that Paul was teaching men not to follow the law of Moses and since Paul was getting ready to speak in the temple in Jerusalem, James was worried and felt if Paul followed the laws of Purification (which should have been a clear no no for anyone under CHRIST´S COVERING understanding that it is in CHRIST alone that we are washed and justified to begin with)....
This cost Paul a beating and getting thrown out of the temple...
ANd...He never finished his period of purification, which he should never have agreed to do to begin with...
The trouble is that what I'm dealing with on this thread is people who do not want to keep God's commandments.
Then tell me that we should keep God's commandments...I am about sick of this lie..
You need to repent of this lie.. Or we will put you in the hands of Jesus himself.
Does God love older Christians more than he does new Christians?
Do older Christians have a special gift to read the Bible that new Christians do not.
The trouble is that what I see is that people allow their reading of the Bible to be skewed by 'accepted wisdom' and 'long held dogma'.
works salvation 101I believe that we are saved by our faith in Jesus Christ.
We will never be able to stop sinning despite our best efforts, but Jesus makes up for this shortfall.
However we do have a duty to keep God's commandments - do you disagree?
I think that if a Christian flagrantly disobeys God, Jesus' sacrifice will not cover those sins:
Hebrews 10:26
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins".
Are you saying that we can flagrantly willfully continue disobeying God and be forgiven regardless of how we behave?
Love you, darling xOH you see other people being skewed yet you are newbie to the faith. Yet you are agreeing with other "peoples" long held dogma and presuming their dogma is right. Interesting.
show me where I has said that we do not have to keep the commands? Just one post will sufficeThen tell me that we should keep God's commandments...
Then tell me that we should keep God's commandments...
