There is one act of obedience required of a person for salvation.

To believe IN Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
So what does John 14:15 mean?

John 14:15
"If you love me, keep my commandments".

What about Ecclesiastes 12:13?

Ecclesiastes 12:13
"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind".

You are correct, but that's not the point Judges is making.

He's asking if we sin because we make mistakes, or whether we flagrantly sin.

I can’t answer for others.....for me....I have been extremely disobedient in an area....I did it because I was a new babe....I didn’t understand what was happening....I became extremely ill......I was bed ridden for 3 yrs.......now.......would I be purposely disobedient to God......you must be joking....I learnt my lesson..

Well then that's good enough :)

There are some contributors to this thread who are accusing me falsely of preaching a 'salvation by works' gospel.
They do this because I said that Christians should keep God's commandments, and they don't like to hear this.

Is that what I said in post 1,036?
Quote below.

It is in fact you who are relentlessly attacking other users of this forum despite clarification already having been given.
You in response to a question I asked about this post. made the quote below.

We are told that if we don't consciously turn away from sin, that Jesus' sacrifice will not cover those sins
Hebrews 10:23
You are being dishonest, Because you claim exactly what I have stated you claim. here is is on BOLDED letters from your own typing

We do it because we are fallen human beings.......we are being sanctified day by day...by the Holy Spirit.......
Personally what he said makes no sense

Do we do it because we do not care anymore about Gods forgiveness?

what?????????????????????????

Where do people come up with this stuff??

No.

He said do we do it because we do not care anymore about Gods forgiveness.

And you think all your sins are mistakes?

Again, That is an issue in itself..

Yes, we should keep Christs commandments.
You're equating this with 'salvation by works'.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They say it because you say it is REQUIRED or salvation will be lost.

How can you keep lying about what others are saying and think it is ok?

Yes, we should keep Christs commandments.
And I agree..
You're equating this with 'salvation by works'.
No, I am not equating this, If this is true, I would myself be a legalist.

I am equating that teaching that if we are not obedience we will lose salvation. Which is salvation by works.

Please stop lying about what others are saying

You screem we keep going in circles. well that is why.

By the way, You accused me of being a liar. I am still waiting for the proof?

Or were you just doing like you always do. Attacking a person because you do not like what they say?

Read the thread, darling x
* just to dive in, what you are teaching is lordship salvation.

saved by belief, salvation maintained by good works, abstaining from sin, etc.. however one chooses to phase it.

this is what the user judges teaches.

it is backdoor works salvationism. you folks that teach it can't see it because you correctly state that one is saved by belief, but then you keep talking and undercut what you just said.

so, there you go.

Amazing you add this in every time.

Tell me which saves keeping the commandments or Jesus?
What I have noticed so far is you really are not able to defend your stance.. you think posting a single verse is an answer ... it really does not work that one.

Like extrapolating one line out an equation thinking that is indicative of the final answer....it isn't.
