The Holy Spirit doesn't empower you to do holy works in order to circumvent Christ's offer of free salvation based on Christ's perfect works on the cross. Faith in Christ is indispensable.
Are you speaking personally via some leading to me? If so you can message me if you like, if you don't have access to PM let me know and I'll initiate. That is most certainly not my intent, although at times my flesh does confuse me and I am confused by it when I focus on it overmuch.

Your post: "sin will be prevalent and it will relationally strain your connection to God".

Your basic problem is you haven't gained eternal life by faith according to 1John5:11. Eternal life isn't life if you can lose it.

You are waiting to be glorified so you won't commit sin and thus earn relationship with God. You don't trust in the grace given through Christ's perfection in order to gain the free fellowship with God.
Finally your revealing your beliefs. Thank you.

I said." And if you focus too much on self or the flesh then sin will be prevalent and it will relationally strain your connection to God."

Your basic problem is you haven't gained eternal life by faith according to 1John5:11. Eternal life isn't life if you can lose it.
So you follow Once saved always saved? If you are in Christ then you can never lose salvation. You are sealed with a earnest example or translated
728 arrhabṓn – properly, an installment; a deposit ("down-payment") which guarantees the balance (the full purchase-price).
728 /arrhabṓn ("down-payment pledge") is the regular term in NT times for "earnest-money," i.e. advance-payment that guarantees the rest will be given. 728 (arrhabṓn) then represents full security backed by the purchaser who supplies sufficient proof they will fulfill the entire pledge (promise).

God's down payment is the Spirit.
Mankind's faith is the fulfillment of the promise.

God has laid down everything already, the gift is free for all who will believe John 3:16. You can fall away Galatians 5:4 or apostate 1 Timothy 4:1. But that is free choice. This is why Jesus warns to abide 2 John 9 or remain in Him John 15:6 or else you will be of no use, gathered up and burned. But God is faithful and forgiving. If one was to return, grace is still given. All this hinges on faith. Of course some claim faith is a work. But that is easily defeated in scripture.

John 6:28-29 New International Version (NIV)
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
The Greek word here for believe is different than the scriptures that refer to faith as a gift.
We have pisteuo.

Eternal life is a promise. Technically you dont have eternal life while in the flesh. That is what we have faith in. Things not yet seen, but to come. In faith you can claim it because God is faithful in His promises but again technically in the flesh your only here for a finite amount of time.

You are waiting to be glorified so you won't commit sin and thus earn relationship with God. You don't trust in the grace given through Christ's perfection in order to gain the free fellowship with God.
Submission, repentance, relationship isn't a work for salvation. Salvation is by faith alone, that you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. We are justified through Christ and therefore seen as righteous in the eyes of God. Our debt had been paid. Sin is now a relationship hindrance. Submission and repentance isnt us waiting until glorification to stop sinning. It us in the sanctification process or God working in us.

Grace freed me from the condemnation of sin.

What do lordship Salvationists claim?

Claim 1: Works prove saving faith.
Claim 2: Saving faith saves.
Their conclusion: Lack of works means one is not saved.

Thus lordship salvation preaches the heresy of works based salvation but their teachers pretend to be teachers of grace.

They distort the true gospel of grace and millions of church-goers are deceived.

So let's preach the true gospel to those church-goers who haven't heard the true gospel in order for them to be saved. THIS IS MOST URGENT.

You may post your opinions.
First, you are also allowed to post your opinions both on the subject and on responses.
Second, you do not fairly represent what those who live with Jesus as Lord believe. It would be easy to discuss this topic if you understood the matter as we do.

Trust in one's own works to prove one has saving faith is pride against God and causes confusion.

Sin causes hindrance to you because sin has gained life as you aren't yet delivered from the law.

Your claim your works prove you have saving faith is nothing but "works based salvation" heresy.

ARE LORDSHIP SALVATIONISTS TRYING TO JUSTIFY THEMSELVES THROUGH JUSTIFYING THEIR SAVING FAITH?
They do.

Your yelling cannot suppress truth. Try again.
Isn’t there something ironic telling someone they cannot suppress the truth by yelling all the while yelling at them.

It is true that salvation comes only through what Christ did for us, but why in tarnation should this bring out all these gossips about how aawwhhuul works are? If you turn your back on sin and decide to give your will to work for the Lord, how can that be related to what these posts say about relying on works to save and all the rest of the down with works ideas. They are separate and not related to each other. except the Christ asks us to turn our back on wanting to sin when we take our son to Christ to pay for them. Christ doesn't promise us that He will magically wipe out the sure fact that we will sin even if our intentions are to not sin, but we are asked to follow Him best we can.

Teach me Oh perfect one...
Understand the difference between imputation and works when you call me perfect.

Read Romans 7:8,9. Sin has gained life because you are yet not delivered from the law (Rom7:6).

Doing good works is different from doing good works in order to prove you have saving faith. The latter is works based salvation theory.

It is actually pretty rare to meet the latter. And I’ve never heard someone say that their works show they are saved.

Now you've begun yelling. Wow...
Not at all. Yelling in written form is when words are bold or large fonts. That’s what you did, not me. You should remember that us what telling is, not words to personally don’t like.

The issue is not "works show they are saved". Rather the issue is trying to "show one has saving faith by their works". Don't distort statements.

If you consider emphasis as yelling, you have a really big problem of touchiness.
