Like I say, true God is trinitirian, jews don't have Zeal for trinitirian God, so they zeal for false god
I believe you had said earlier that this translation was correct

Romans 10: 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

"God" is capitalized, meaning that the translator is referring to the true God.

Do you still want to say that the translation is correct? It's fine if you want to change your mind.

Maybe a similar kind of story will help.

One day Joe witnesses a bank robbery. He sees the robber in a white shirt running away from the bank.

During the next few years, some people around Joe give him some misinformation about the bank robbery. They tell him that the bank robber was wearing a red shirt.

After a while, Joe becomes convinced that the robber was wearing a red shirt.

Then a psychologist comes to interview Joe. He strongly suspects Joe's memory has been tampered with. He asks Joe what color the robber's shirt was, and Joe says it was red.

Some people then said that because Joe was wrong about the color of the shirt, that he could not have witnessed the robbery. But the psychologist knows that people have been feeding misinformation to Joe, so Joe being wrong about the shirt doesn't mean that he didn't witness the robbery.

Can you follow how that corresponds to what Muslims say about the God they worship?
I know I'm butting in here, but Muslims do not in any way believe in God. They believe in a false god, and a demonic one. The Muslim religion, Islam is anti-Christ, in every way possible. They are utterly lost unless someone brings them the truth, which I know people are trying to do. Very difficult because they are so brainwashed.

No, Jews believe in God same as the OT Jews. Not all Jews of course. They don't believe in the trinity because they have been blinded for a time. But one day they will come to see that Jesus was the Messiah.

Thank you for the definition.

Here's the question I'm asking:
Do you believe that Romans 10:2 is true for the Jews that were alive when Paul wrote the verse?
And what is your interpretation of that verse?

In the OT Yes but now

John 5

46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Verse 46 mean, Jews that don't believe Moses don't believe Jesus.
Since Moses only wrote what God want him to wrote, so not believe Moses mean not believe God.

That mean jews that do not believe Jesus don't believe God

I am not agree with this analogy. Muslim never believe trinity.

Joe was believe and saw white shirt.

It doesn't matter even If muslim was believe trinity, now they don't
So catholic is lie
It's not a perfect analogy.

Joe is telling the truth as he understands it, but the psychologist doesn't have to accept what Joe says as the truth.

In a similar way, Muslims are telling the truth as they understand it, but I don't have to accept what Muslims say as the truth. This includes what Muslims say are the characteristics of the God that Muslims say they worship.

Are you able to follow what I'm saying? You can disagree, of course, but I want to know if you're able to make sense out of what I've written here.

Hi kaylagrl!

What are your thoughts on Jews? Do they worship the same God as Christians?

Jackson and I have been talking about this particular verse
Romans 10: 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

How does it look to you? Do Jews have a zeal of the true God? Or is Paul saying they have a zeal of a false god.

And what is your interpretation of that verse?
My interpretation of the verse is that Jews, both at the time of Paul and today, have a zeal for God, but they are blinded to many of God's characteristics.

For example, they are zealous for God which we can see in the way they want to keep the law. But they don't accept Jesus, because they are blinded.

Do you believe that Romans 10:2 is true for the Jews that were alive when Paul wrote the verse?

Verse 2
Romans 10: 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For the translation, I don't want to comment because I don't know the original language

All I know is that If a man don't believe in Jesus he is not worshiping true God.

Yep, Paul not Lie, but, as far as true God, I believe true God must have 3 element, Father, Son and Holy spirit.
And to come to the Father, Jesus is the only acces. It doesn't matter, to come for pray or worship, the only door is Jesus.

Do you mean you don't know if the translation is correct or not?

I think it is a key verse on the subject that we are discussing, so I will be glad to wait until you decide.

You try to say muslim adore true God so ccc 841 is not Lie, am I correct?
I think a reasonable case can be made that Muslims adore the true God. This is not to say that they are even close to the truth regarding most of the characteristics of God.

I think a reasonable case can also be made that Muslims do not adore the true God.

Since a reasonable case can be made in either direction, I don't think it's a good idea to say that someone is not a Christian if they disagree with me on the subject.

But to answer your question directly, I don't think CCC 841 is a lie.
