Because they do not follow the distorted KJV Bible. In the Hebrew text, Elohim is
always singular, so there was no need to believe God is more than ONE!
- Elohim in Hebrew script: the letters are, right-to-left:, aleph-lamed-he-yud-mem. Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים [ʔɛloːˈhim]) is a word in the Hebrew Bible, which refers to a single deity, particularly the Jewish God.
But ENGLISH speaking people have turned Elohim to mean plural.
^
So my question then:
Why has the ENGLISH speaking people rejected the Hebrew/Jews Biblical meaning?
These people, like Moses, Abraham literally dealt with God in person.
In Exodus, the Burning Bush where Yeshua reveals He is I AM, He tells Moses:
6 And He said, "I am
ELOHIM of your father,
ELOHIM of Abraham,
ELOHIM of Isaac, and
ELOHIM of Jacob." And Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look toward
ELOHIM.
Is Jesus saying He is triune here by saying He is
THE GOD of...your father, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
And is Moses afraid of God being 3 when he was afraid to look at ELOHIM?
No, of course not!
It means the ONE PERSON GOD = ELOHIM!
