Put this all in context....you do not fool anyone with your dishonest tactics.

The believing in vain would happen IF Jesus had not risen from the dead.
And Paul announces very firmly Christ did rise from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:20
"But now Christ is risen from the dead.”

More IRONY 1 John 2:24-25 was written by John about DECEIVERS

“These things [2:18-25]30 I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you.”

Again, abiding refers to remaining or continuing in intimate fellowship to be prepared for the storms of life ... loss of salvation does not exist and therefore never mentioned in scripture!!
How does whether or not Christ is risen from the dead change the fact that you are saved if you continue to believe what you first heard?

"2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you." - 1 Corinthians 15:2

It doesn't matter what you change the gospel by which you saved to for Paul's words to mean what they say. The plain words say you are saved if you stick to the original, not if you change it to something else. The Corinthians changed Paul's risen savior gospel to a non-risen savior gospel. Since they did not hold firmly to what Paul originally told them they are not saved. Read the verse again, above.

The dude Has said you believe something not true, the same argument which has been going on for the last year, I am amazed you all still give him the time of day..
You do not believe what he says either.
But since he defends some form of osas, no matter how wrong it is, you will defend him.
That's called suppressing the truth through wickedness.

Still rejecting to context of that statement is not gonna help you when you stand in the many group boasting of what you have done right before being cast into the pit pal!
The context is plainly stated as being salvation and eternal life.
It says you do not get to have either if you go back from the gospel you first heard, and received, and believed in, and were saved by.
That is utterly contrary to what you teach.

Well I guess we do not need metonymy then.

Only the women who have had children are saved. :cautious:

I have to admit , I do see your point...
Round and round it goes , same answers replied to the same false claims made , but I also see why posters keep swinging , not letting them get away with their false gospel , but for me most time , I scroll unless I know the Holy Spirit moves me to post , then I will post , but it does become weary watching it , did Jesus not say these times would come? , these nosas destroy , they never build , they are on the wrong foundation...
...xox...
If he was a threat I might agree, but anyone who ready him would see his insincerity, so I do not see him as a threat.

i hardly come into this thread anymore, and what I see, hardly anyone does, because of this stain

i use the old adage, if we stop talking to them and ignore them they will go away, because if they are not being fed, that will go where they can get fed

I respect your point, however we must keep those verses in context, have you noticed that in the last twenty year or so the accurate Gospel is harder and harder to find... why is that?

The Gospel is under constant seige.... it is not even about @Judges1318 at all....

It is about keeping the TRUTH front and center... that is my view but if someone can show me otherwise I will reconsider.
Judges is no threat you can keep the truth without feeding him

Speaking in general terms:

You can focus on what you want to do instead of focusing on what God wants you to do. Because, in OSAS, believing the Gospel is the only thing you must do, nothing else afterwards.

So now you can concentrate on this world and life, if you so choose to do so, while still being saved forever no matter what you do.
If this were only true, you may have a point

but since no true osas people think this is how they should live your point is invalid

Yes, he does chastise.

But if chastisement fails, then there's this:

This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth (Jeremiah 7:28).

Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint (Isaiah 1:5).

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy (Proverbs 29:1).
Lol

you ever been chastened by God

chastening does not fail. If it get to out of hand God just takes us home

I can understand you thinking this, but actually the opposite is true. We focus on God and His loving, saving grace. That focus brings elation and peace which inspires and enables us to share the Gospel in word and deed, and do so effectively in love, not fear.

Very well.

If this is true, and heaven is a place where suffering ends and all tears shall be wiped away, a place of unimaginable wonder and peace (which it is), wouldn't this be motivation for some weak soul, who is suffering terrible in this life, to sin to the point of getting to heaven quicker?

But the truth is that a person who continues frowardly in sin after repeated attempts of correction will be told "depart from me ye that work iniquity".

He is of no threat, but his words can be for the those who are not discerning....... he has followers and I know of one, maybe two such

people who stopped siding with him because we continually exposed his error.

The thread was started by @dcontroversal ... and if he wants me to stop because it gives Judges a platform I will, however my

inclination is that @Judges1318 will view that as victory and continue posting anyway.

And who are the ones who work "inquity?"

If you think of yourself as sinless, then you will be judged as a worker of iniquity.

God resists the proud, but he gives grace unto the humble.

And those that are saved are saved and cannot become workers of iniquity.... we have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us.

The ones who work iniquity are those who work sin.

Those who are saved are capable of doing whatever they please; sin unto death, or obey unto righteousness.

The imputation of righteousness is credited to an unbeliever upon his/her belief in the gospel.

Now the unbeliever becomes a believer with the responsibility to walk worthy of the vocation he has been given.
